I love the Carja

I started a replay of HZD the other day, and I forgot just how much I love the Carja and miss them in HFW. Anyone else feel this way? I adore their melodramatic writing style in the glyph datapoints. Just read the Record of Redmaw, and and it just put a huge smile on my face, it's so fun. There's hardly any personality like that to be found in the other tribes. It's cultural flavor text that HFW is missing by focusing mostly on nonliterate tribes.

“Frontier Justice” quest nearly impossible on ultra-hard for no reason?

There are only three human enemies! I’m wearing the Banuk Chieftan Adept with multiple ranged protection weaves *and* taking advantage of the Shield-Weaver appearance glitch, along with a health boost potion, and yet they still kill me in a single shot and take far too many to kill. I’ve spent more attempts on this than I did to take down three frostclaws! What is going on?

Is anyone really interested in this?

I’ve got 2,000 combined in both games and have zero interest in this.

It just doesn’t look much like a Horizon game to me. I’m also not interested in a live service game.

No hate towards anyone who is excited about this, I just don’t get it.

Just finished the game. Honest thoughts

Okay yeah I know I’m extremely late. I just got a PlayStation maybe a month back and got HZD a week ago. First of all gorgeous game. Next

That has to be one of my favorite stories I think I’ve ever played through. The twist of not knowing who you are but the way of learning your character is beautiful in this game. There is so much underlying information and the fact you can still learn so much about the characters that were never fully there. From the very beginning you get those voice notes that truly help you understand this was an extinction event. Not just an apocalypse or the world changing. It was devastating hearing how certain characters spoke and you to know so much more than just the story that was played but the story beneath the game itself. They could build an entire game dedicated to prequel this one and I’m sure it would go well. Genuinely a web of emotions throughout that game. Every machine was really cool in a way that just stood out. From the watchers the thunder-jaws.

I am absolutely pumped to start the dlc soon but I just wanted to say something about the story for this first because man I enjoyed it.

Oh to have the upper body strength and grip as Aloy…and other topics lol

I began to replay Zero Dawn and also watching Forbidden West gameplay and this girl is agile as hell. The amount of time she’s hanging off and jumping from ledges and having to catch herself falling is crazy 😭too bad they don’t show the muscles for that to be possible(ik it’s just a game and its mechanics but just…let me talk and imagine from a realistic perspective ).

Also I feel she is taking being just someone’s clone very well?? (Or maybe not, I tend to miss some undertones from time to time) I would be having a crisis and think about what my purpose is after everything is done.

Edit: I wasn’t necessarily thinking of her being buff more so having defined muscles and as I have been informed that rock climbers would be lean and not really jacked. So thanks for the corrections:)

ALOY Is A Machine not Human it is obvious.

1.Her mother was an Android 2.Aloy her name so close to Alloy a metal. 3.She came from a Lab. 4.She beats all Human counterparts 5. She does super human feats. 6. Don't time since I played but only she can interface with the ear thing ? That's what I thought of in a couple of minutes there will be more clues.

I feel like a goober

No, seriously. I recently got the Remaster. I love the series, but find Forbidden West to be easier for me to play with my disabilities, so I've put something like 516+ hours into it. Way less time on Zero Dawn. But after starting another playthrough of it recently, I decided that I wanted to check out the remaster. $30 was worth it to me, especially since I like having physical copies and only had Zero Dawn on digital (side note: while not as good as Forbidden West, way more accessible for me, which is a huge plus).

So I'm minding my business, playing through the game again, and run into a blue mission. Blue instead of green? I'm blind, sure, but I don't struggle with colors THAT much. It literally never even crossed my mind that of course Frozen Wilds would be included in the remaster. Why the heck wouldn't it? That makes sense, and yet I started giggling and bouncing up and down with joy. As much as I love the games, I never touched the DLCs. At least now I'll get to. I am waiting until I finish this playthrough; including getting a Platinum for it, though. But, yeah, I'm a goober for thinking I was just getting Zero Dawn and not Frozen Wilds as well. Sometimes I really don't use my brain, because it should have been so obvious 🙄

I like mounts, but...

... I run faster. Straighter. Stealthier.

Even 2 km are faster on foot. But the game(s) provide a fast travel every hiccup.

So, what is the point of mounts in HZD?

I had forgot how satisfying end game fights are…

Love end game weapons and destroying these fools, when you’ve been getting wrecked by these machines all game.
