after like the broken script every single horror mod has just started to not do like anything ever at all, like its good that theres not something in your face every night and like 15 of the same entity just running at you, but at the same time i dont want to play for like 2 hours just to see something cool

Hey there. Our Manbear remake is almost done. Its been more than a week now since we asked idk someguy if we can release our Manbear Remake. He hasn't answered. We tried contacting him over CurseForge and Patreon since these seemed to be the only ways after he apparently closed his discord. We are still not certain if we will release it. The reason for that is that we want to respect the integrity of the original mod. Because of that we either thought to keep it for ourselves OR we could release it but with a clear disclaimer both in the Mod Description and as a text message when you join the world. What do you think would be the better idea?
most of the posts ive read are from 2 years to 9 months ago, so i just wanna know if he still does all the things people said he did? I really like his videos and i dont wanna get into something and have people telling me he sucks and he uses ai and no creditsss
Horror mods exceed when they take away the power of the player. If there's anything that doesn't do that, it's a gun mod. They all have the similar quality of being really overpowered against even modded mobs. It becomes less like surviving against them and more like hunting them down as mild nuisances.
On the other hand, I also find the idea of using guns to fight the mobs those mods add to be quite thrilling on occasion. It gives underdog vibes taking on inconceivable horrors with a very conceivable weapon. It's probably why the Seal Team 6 vs. Horror trend on YouTube even came to be in the first place. Who cares about immersion when you can shoot Herobrine in the face with a glock?
What are your thoughts on this? Do you avoid gun mods when playing Horror Minecraft? How do you use guns when playing Horror Minecraft if you do?
I just genuinely do not feel scared about a lot of mods and that's a problem because I really want to play a horror Mod that actually scares.
These guys are if 2011x and All Father was minecraft stuff instead of sonic stuff. (sonic.exe stuff basically)
The atmosphere in this mod feels really unsettling in a good way. The liminal spaces ambient sounds weird glitches and overall style are all really well done. It feels more focused on psychological horror instead of just throwing random jumpscares at you.
