To be honest, I don't find any of the current horror mods scary anymore.

To be honest, I don't find any of the current horror mods scary anymore.

I often install mods like Vampire, Tacz's Gun, Ice and Fire, and a few other Enchantment mods from tlauncher, and with just one full Enchantment armor set and one full Enchantment weapon, I can solo most horror mods; they're not particularly special in combat.

The best horror mods for a server with a bunch of friends?

The title says it. I dont really want any annoying ones like ''The Man from the Fog'' that spawn every minute, or ''Twixxel's Stalker'' that destroys your entire house. Just something that'll get us screaming, laughing, and scared. Thanks!

⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠ATTENTION⚠⚠⚠⚠⚠

THERE IS NO VERITY MOD, or any mod of "the stalker" entity, all videos about horror posted by thatmob and twixxel (and LookOut3D) state in the description:

This video uses scripted editing and sounds to add the main entity in the video. Please do not ask for the mod.

There is no verity or stalker mod, DO NOT download anything that is from untrusted sources, you will get a virus and your world will most likely be turned to dust. (or from trusted sources for that matter, most of them will leave you beyond dissapointed)

Go play wonderland.jar or nomoon.jar or some, there are engaging mods that you can play that don't put your PC at risk.

^(im tired of yall hating on thatmob's and twixxel's creations (even tho the stalker is created by) ^(LCrandom)^(, read the descriptions please)

Weird scream on a Horror One Block Modpack

I know it sounds obvious, since what I'm about to describe happened while I was playing a "ONE BLOCK HORROR" modpack with a friend that we installed from CurseForge. I don't believe in paranormal things at all, and I'm sure this has to be from some kind of atmosphere mod (?). Let me explain: While we were playing this modpack, we heard some (VERY) strange screams. The curious thing here isn't so much the screams themselves, but the fact that, to my ear, they sounded with a similar fidelity to what I hear from my friend's microphone in the video (it's in Spanish). I said to him, "WTF, what sounded in your house?" (I was so surprised I even paused the game for a second). There were also some dog barks before the screams. The strange thing is that this happened (as you can see in the screenshot) almost an hour after the world started, and I'll grant you that the sound was caused by an atmosphere mod, but why almost an hour later? And that's not the strangest thing; it's that a couple of minutes later it starts again, and then again a few minutes later. I think the most interesting thing here is what I mentioned about the audio quality, like a "call" or "through a microphone." If a specific mod did this, it was quite amusing.

P.S.: The background music is clearly something we added on Spotify just to "set the mood."
P.S. 2: I'll be adding more clips in the comments (since it only lets me add one per post).

I think it might be from a "Dweller" mod, I'm interested in knowing the specific name of the mod, in case anyone can help with that.

(Not hate) Why do people like Verity so much?

Look like I said this is not hate this is genuinely just me not understanding what is so good about Verity because every time I ask someone on Roblox or Discord or whatever I always get the same answer of 'It is my opinion' now don't get me wrong here, you are entitled to your own opinion but THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM ASKING. To say it is your opinion is all well and jolly but I don't care about whether you think it is good in your opinion I care about what specific part of Verity makes you like it because to me, it feels like another one of those Minecraft horror mods that just lack depth and any storyline and the scariness. Maybe I am missing something but I need to know why people genuinely watch this as it just doesn't add up to me and I just cannot see why there is such a large fanbase. One thing I will say I am happy about though is it isn't another one of those analog horror character mods because it means less larpers will be talking about the Boiled One and T.O.E. because they saw it in a Minecraft horror mod video on Youtube.

If you can help me here then thanks if you can't then that's totally ok I just really want answers because I'm starting to go crazy with the amount of 'well it is my opinion' answers I get because that is all I get and again this is no hate to Verity fans I just need someone to help me find what I am missing here because I just cannot see it.

Mod Concept: It Came From The Farlands

"A man lives within distorted lands. A man with four crooked hands. With twisted limbs crawling on the walls, the man watches from where reality falls. It stalks close to adapt and plan. All beware the Farlands Man."

I have an idea for a horror mod, but since I don't know how to code, it will only be here as a concept. Also, this is my first post here.

The Farlands Man:

It has an eye in its mouth, holes in its chest, and glowing ribs. Its mouth glows red but can briefly turn black in the dark, allowing easier stalking. Also, while its mouth is black, it can display another mob's eyes, like an enderman, within its mouth to stalk and lure the player closer. Its six long twisted limbs allow it to climb and chase easily, specifically in caves and the Farlands. It is intelligent, often learning from past encounters. If the player builds up in one encounter, it will learn to climb up in future encounters. Despite being about five blocks tall, it is flexible, able to fold and break its limbs to fit through small spaces. It can retract all of its limbs and disable all of its glow to mimic three stone blocks slightly too dark. It is curious, often watching from afar, meaning it doesn't attack right away, just following and playing with its future food, you. Things will seem wrong first, animals leaving an area, random blocks placed/breaked, noises, a silhouette watching in the distance, mob eyes in the darkness too high up, three dark stone blocks, etcetera. After a few days, it will finally attack, walking calmly towards the player before then crawling fast towards the prey. After a while of hunting, it will leave. Though there is a way to make it easier to survive, copper light scares it off. Encounters with the Farlands Man are more frequent in the Farlands.

The Farlands:

It spawns many blocks away from spawn. A place distorted and twisted. Here, mobs act wrong, silence surrounds everything, sounds come from nowhere, and hallucinations appear. Some hallucinated mobs are there for a split second, and others wait for the player to turn away to disappear. If the world is multi-player, the other player says things in chat that they never said, only visible to the one player. Fog surrounds the area, lowering visibility. Sleep here is not possible. The Farlands Man is more aggressive here, even sometimes overcoming its fear of copper light.

Miscellaneous:

Sometimes, when trying to sleep, the player is kicked out with the message, "You may not rest now. Something was under your bed." Villagers will leave an entire village behind, and animals will run from an area, all signs that something is coming.

Tell me what you think. You can give me criticisms, critiques, ideas, ask questions, and anything, I don't mind. Thanks for reading.
