I bought this Purple UFO plant on eBay and it arrived here in great shape. I transplanted it into this 5 gallon bucket with at least eight 1/2” holes drilled in the bottom for drainage and filled with Kelloggs Organic Patio Plus container mix. It was doing great, then out of nowhere it wilted like this. I feel like I’ve been watering enough and not overwatering, and this mix supposedly has fertilizer in it already and recommends not adding fertilizer the first month. What could be causing this? Also, is it salvageable or is it done for?
I have an infestation of aphids and white fly. So I declared war! Took me 2 hours to spray my yard. Peppers, roses, tomatoes...
When spraying white fly, they fly everywhere and attach themselves to everything near by especially the person doing the spraying.
A phobia of whiteflies is a form of entomophobia (the extreme fear of insects) or pteronarcophobia (the fear of flies). Because whiteflies frequently swarm in clouds, the sudden, unpredictable movement often triggers intense physical and psychological panic, disgust, or anxiety.
So, I have finally been able to get most of my guys outside, they have been outside now for two days and are looking pretty good, it’s just today it’s 97, feels like 101, will probably get hotter. I have them in shade under an Aluminet tarp 40% and I think it’s helping.
Happy Wednesday Pepperheads, it's gonna be a hot one today! Feed your plants and keep hydrated ❤️..

Smoking Ed Currie Carolina reapers

Still nothing setting. I’m not sure why they are focused on growing and not setting fruit.
The reaper on the left has many many flowers. The reaper in the right has lost almost all of its flowers.
I am giving them Gaia bloom but it seems they are still growing strong and not worried about setting.
This is my Habanero.
I am trying to help it in Northern WV, Zone 6. It is planted in some inexpensive Walmart mix I amended with perlite and sand, but only small amounts, I think I should have added way more perlite or something.
As a young plant, it was struggling for life because I could not feed it nutrients and let it dry because it was raining almost daily.
I had Jalapeño in similar condition.
11 days ago I gave them all some 1/4 strength Foxfarm weed nutrient blend. They all loved it and got much darker green and grew noticeably It also rained about 3 thunderstorms.
On Thursday afternoon 3 days, it had finally been hot and sunny and I gave all peppers some Half strength foxfarm weed nutrients with some extra plain water on top.
The Jalapeño responded great and are now finally back to the right shade of green, the sunflowers are happy about it, there are some other tiny solocup peppers that were okay but the Hananero are not.
They immediately did this droop.
I watered them more right then on Thursday and they perked up quickly.
The next day, they did it again as soon as they drained out some.
Yesterday, it rained, and I flushed the bucket with gallons of water . Today, they were so happy all day until right when the shadow from the house moved over them and them, then wilted again?
This year I’m growing superhots for the first time and I just wanted some insight. I have a green thumb with anything below a habanero and I’ve heard superhots could be a challenge on depending factors. Lately it’s been raining a lot but has slowed down since last week and the temps have risen to the 90’s
I had ordered a good variety of superhot seeds online but I had started late and nothing germed so I acquired seedlings from about 3 local nurseries.
I had found 1 scotch bonnet , 1 ghost pepper , 1 chocolate habanero , 1 scorpion pepper( in the ground ) and 1 Carolina reaper
All found and transplanted the first week of June with a fair amount of growth since then. Besides funky leaves and wierd new growth.
For soil I’m using fox farm ocean forest and happy frog with added bio char and slight compost with a small mix of jobes 4-4-4 and minimal 2-6-8 In the soil.
I just discovered my chocolate hab being the only one with a small aphid infestation but the others are all clean. Should I be worried and is there something I could be doing wrong ? Other than possible wet feet from the rain is there something I could do to help these thrive ?
About half of what I’ve put in the ground seems to be taking off now but the others are suffering.
Any 2 cents put in is very much appreciated thank you all in advance. ( LOCATION 5b)
A bit of context:
planted these two yellow habanero seeds at the same time, around the beginning of May. They came from the same seed batch.
Both plants have had the same conditions. Same watering schedule, same fertilizer, same sun exposure, same potting mix, and same pot size.
Despite that they look quite different. It’s not just the height difference, I wouldn’t be too worried about that, the left one simply could catch up later. What concerns me more is the leaf appearance.
The plant on the left has more bubbly leaves (image 2), lighter green coloration, and noticeably lighter veins. The plant on the right (image 3) looks much more like what I’d expect from a healthy chinense.
What do you think?
Could this just be normal genetic variation between seedlings? Are they possibly not the same variety? Or does the left plant look like it has some kind of nutrient deficiency, uptake issue, or pest/virus problem?

My twins are like real kids. They are growing up so fast.
These are seeds from smoking ed Currie. Carolina reapers and I bought this tent especially for them. They have thrived to the point my one plant has purple chrome leaves and they almost grow overnight.
I can’t wait for them to start setting flowers it will be the hottest hobby/decoration/edible garden in town.
I have my white ghost scorpion on deck. This will be a dangerous tent soon enough.
