Is it safe to say that Sita is already one of Alia's prettiest characters?

I mean Roop and Ananya are still on the top of the pyramid, but she also looked great here

Alia and Sharvari's chemistry deserve a romance

If Sita and Durga aren't girlfriends then why they are so girlfriends shaped 😔

Alpha album

Its baffling my mind that not a single critic or audiences are talking about the album. This has few of the best BGMs and songs in a while. The Agni bgm, Massacre and Haaniya are top notch tracks. Even Champagne is nice. I wonder if this was a male led film or non-yrf, only then would these so called "critics" would praise these aspects of this movie.

And yes Alpha passed the Bechdel test 🤭

Someone made a post about this on another sub last month , so yes both Alia (Sita) and Sharvari (Durga) had conversations that aren't about a "man".

Juat want to say the Massacre song in Alpha was fire, people stayed back and said play the song one more time lol

Finally watched Alia bhatt's Alpha, the theatre was packed for the night show and the audience was hooting during Alias entry also during sharvari & Alias fight scene, will be going again today i actually liked the movie.

Also i saw some reviews that are comparing it to other movies which i dont get not everything has to be the same

imo this is one of Alia's best song looks ever

Both Alia and Sharvari look great here. But seeing Alia in such styling just feels new to me and I'm still obsessed, maybe we'll see more of this Alia in the near future. Also talking about the songs.Alpha album is decent and my kind of fun ,my personal jam is obviously Massacre (it's weirdly addictive) along with Vaar Vaar and Haaniya.I love this album ,it's maybe it's one of the best in her filmography.

Alpha rant

Let me make a few things clear first:

- I am not someone who doesn't have the cognitive ability to like both Dhurandhar and Alpha's types of films. I firmly believe these are two polar opposite takes on a similar genre and I am all here for it.

- I for a second dont believe that its unbelievable when Alia is being a badass by beating men bigger than hers when we have seen hollywood heroines do the same thing since decades.

- This film is nowhere as bad as the reviewers and prominent critics are making you believe (we all know that half of them had their minds made up to troll this movie way before the release itself and why). On the other hand, I am also not someone who has to say that this film falls in a masterpiece(or more than good) category just because I like Alia.

- I am just coming from a housefull theatre late at night where both males and females were cheering for ALIA BHATT's entry.. So dont let the gossip pages blind you by spreading narratives that she is getting any less popular because the audiences who have jobs and some actual things to do in their lives love her. If by chance this film doesn't work at the box office, it would be clearly due to the quality of the film because the normal audiences genuinely gave this film a chance on the first day since they dont have a reddit page telling them that Alia is bad 100 times a day.

- Read somewhere that Alia is a misfit for this. LOL. In fact, she was the only one who FIT into this movie. She carried the entire movie alone. The rest of the characters are as bland as they come. Sorry Sharvari but you deserved better..

With this out of the way, what i saw in theatre today is the incompetence of a writer and production house that had gold in their hands in terms of actors and a concept not deeply explored in India. It frustrates me 10x more because the potential was just oozing out of the film in so many of its frames. The action choreography and the hard work Alia and Sharvari both put in was clearly visible. They did most of the sequences by themselves which is commendable since even male action heroes are not doing it.. This right here could have easily been the best yrf spy universe film in the past 10 years (and by easily, I mean it) if they had just improved on the writing a bit(*a lot)

Few thoughts I want Alia to hear:

- I am almost sure that Alia chose this project maybe after hearing the pitch yrf made for the character's quirks and potential and maybe they had first half ready. She should only work with producers with a vision. Good directors cant do anything if the boss of the production house is sitting on his head trying to force some storylines and twists forcefully. With Ayan(the director) in War 2 i was a bit suspicious of this but with Shiv rawail(Alpha's director) doing the exact same thing, I am 100% convinced of this. Directors in a Aditya chopra yrf spy universe production are just props to execute his vision. The vision that has an expiry date of 20 years ago.

- This is one of Alia's coolest character and yet another shade of her acting skills we haven't seen before. I genuinely believe what we saw in this film was just a trailer and someday with a good project in her hands, she is gonna have a major success in the action genre.

Few thoughts I want YRF(and Alpha's writer and director) to hear:

- Learn to be subtle in the nationalism. It doesn't look inspiring or gives goosebumps when a group of 50 soldiers come shouting "Jai hind" in slomo out of nowhere.

- Don't do cameos foe the sake of it. The whole idea of Alpha was that Alia and Sharvari are special because of the serum that normal people cant compete. Atleast commit to the GODDAMN concept!!! You show how Alia is killing people easily, hacking computers easily and i am totally on board for that but then just because of your cameo fest you have to show Hrithik doing the same things. That sequence alone kills what was special about the serum soldiers. Also that Anil kapoor fight scene after the interval. I cringed so hard.

- Atleast be consistent in your character writing. You had gold in your hands with Alia being a sociopath and had so many subtle funny moments in the first half. The second half completely drops exploring that side of the character.

- Sharvari was not a trained soldier, Alia was even if they both had serums. You had a golden opportunity yet again to show how much of a difference it makes for someone who is trained since childhood versus someone who only has the powers but never trained. But what did the writer do? They made Sharvari invincible as well. 👏👏

- One thing is clear. You guys dont know how to conclude a movie or write the third act. Also you guys are allergic to writing layered characters. On one hand it would have been quite an experience if we saw Bobby dolls character morality getting compromised year after year leaving him with just one thing he believes in, but then you had to make him a one tone character by making him a Pakistani spy. That just kills any interest i had in his character completely.

- It felt like the two halves are made by two different people. This can only happen if the movie went into production with an incomplete script. Seriously if you guys had put some efforts into actually incentivize good writers you would have not been in this position you are in where every film suffers due to bad writing.

Alpha- 7.5/10

Just watched alpha at the theater and it was definitely a 7.5-8/10 for me and my friend. The action scenes were amazing. The plot was okayish. I love the arch of Alia’s character where it justifies why’s she the way she is. Absolutely loved sharvari’s acting too. Anil and Bobby were fantastic as well.

Alia’s entry and shavari’s entry were both epic.

The female chemistry /sister storyline was amazing. Loved their bit they did and absolutely loved the end song that played once the movie finished.

Ofcourse it’s a Bollywood movie hence some unrealistic parts were there (the hero/heroine never dies)

There was a fighting sequence which involved Alia , Sharvari and hrithik, reminded me of mcu 360 angle camera motion scene, gave me goosebumps.

Idk what’s with the hate? Definitely a good 1 time watch. Take ur family & friends. Good women led action Bollywood film. No nude scenes, just a nice plot, acting and action. Good.

PSA- I don’t think I’ll ever review a movie again in this sub because the comments are outrageous and triggering. The fact that I’m not Indian nor a PR person and the hate of people from India is insane.
I thought why not share my reviews of the movie but damn people be hating on everything. Insane lol
