Back in season 1 we learn of Miyabi is a void hunter and no doubt in question she is top one. However the story never glazed her to the way of soloing the entire cast. But it never seemed like the gap between void hunters and regular agents were that far. In fact Miyabi had a team with her and they didn’t slow her down.

In 1.4 section six wanted to take custody of Phaethon, Billy and Anby were not afraid to throw hands. You know how crazy it was back then, two A-ranks want smoke with three S-ranks? Did we except cunning hares to win against s6? No but we understand they had a fighting chance. Then in trust events Miyabi admits that harumasa would be a tough opponent for her and doesn’t want to fight him if he goes all out. Yes harumasa does glaze her at the end saying she can beat 100 of him but we never get the idea that void hunter completely demolish regular agents. None of this would fly in season 2 because…

In 2.2 obel squad confronted yi xuan and she claimed she could just solo all of them. So they just gave up. Then in the latest quest Billy says he’ll easily get cut up by Miyabi. Now you can mark this up by yi xuan being over confident or Billy trying to be humble because he’s a liar but the narrative presents them to such a high level. We then see cissa, promeia and billy lose. We never actually see an agent lose a fight let one three of them at the same time. But then a void hunter appears and saves the day. If 1,4 happened now Billy and Anby would twerk for section six and let them arrest Phaethon.

Why does Miyabi only just appear in 2.5 where is section six? Are they simply too weak to keep up with Miyabi? Why does the mayor get yi xuan to do missions alone. Are fufu and yinhu deadweight. Is Shunguang gonna have a team that supports her? I guess not because she’s so strong she doesn’t even need a team so why should HAND even bother. Is sunbringers faction gonna do much or is Norma and Velina just gonna sit around and do nothing.

I spend so much time online defending YSG as a character if you look through my account there’s so much posts about her but I really hate how she sets up future void hunters. When we meet remeille dan are we going to have the same mystical sword plot that is activated by the power of love (and cracking them)I thought it was cool she was a new character (YSG) and wasn’t connected to any of past void hunters until I realize they all have some mystical weapon (mostly swords) now I realize in universe, the reason none of the other qingming sword bearers became void hunters is because they succumbed to its effects and fucking died. Now every void hunter is either gonna be the first generation or their descendants.

Ye Shunguang is a pretty humble person who always downplays herself and always thanks Phaethon for their help and never really gets into fights or threatens everyone. She believes in collective humanity rather than divine authority (the creator) controlling all life, it’s how she mastered the sword. Despite all this the narrative still glazes her ass. the creator is like a god level entity that could take over a town no regular ass agent is beating that thing.

ZZZ is just a large city/small country we shouldn’t have special grade sorcerers it just doesn’t make sense to have a cast these super strong people just sitting around. I’m a few years we’re gonna have like 8 void hunter in this small all city. Now I’m just wondering just send (void hunter) to do this crap why are these absolute fodders sent on missions. Just send Miyabi to solo the exaultists. If there’s one thing I do like about void hunter scaling is that all of them seem to be similar levels unlike archons or emanators.
