Hello everyone. I'm getting back into the game following the 1.0 release, so naturally, my save file was wiped.
Do you have any suggestions for easily building a base? Preferably close to the center?

Was just sleepily browsing Steam and saw this game... looked interesting, so checked it out some more and yo!!!! This game looks dope!!!
I really enjoy zombie apocalypse stories/settings, and when I saw you could ride a horse, I was already sold.
I was wondering if there's any other roleplayers or a rp community in this game? I'm a long-time D&D player, played a little DayZ, loved State of Decay 2 -- and it looks like this game may fall somewhere in the middle and that's what I've always wanted.
If there are any other storytellers out there, or someone who could point me to that community if there is one -- would love to connect.
I think this game is going to be a lot of fun!
EDIT: The game is a blast and told my buddy about it and he got it as well! We're just starting out, but I rented a server, so if there's two other new players or folks who are into narrative gameplay -- hit me up.
