Removing Db Killer?
I have an akrapovic exhaust. Trying to remove the silencer. It’s all one piece. Do I grind the mesh off?

Went from exc 525 to 701, is there anything particular i should know about the bike, I bought it brand new at the dealer with warranty because the 525 was showing its age and 2 engine rebuilds later that i did myself, just had enough. Cheers
Got my Vitpilen 250 on Feb 14, 2026 (new 13.5L tank model). 2500ish km on the odo.
Issue 1 — Stalling during downshifts (main concern)
Happens at low speeds, usually under 30-40 km/h, only during downshifts. The sequence:
So earlier it was only the throttle dead-spot in step 4 and it would always recover. Now it's started actually stalling with that metallic click.
Issue 2 — 2nd gear hiccup (happened twice)
In 2nd gear, when I accelerate hard around 5-6k RPM, the bike hiccups violently — literally pushes me onto the fuel tank and then pulls me back. Like a sudden jerk forward and then a sudden pull back. Happened twice now.
Issue 3 — Quickshifter weirdness at high speed
When using the quickshifter at high speeds, going from 5th to 6th (around 90 km/h), I just tap the gear shifter (not pressing hard — not sure if that's the issue). The bike briefly revs up, kinda screams, half-goes into 6th and comes back to 5th. Whole thing happens in maybe under 2 seconds. Is this me not using the quickshifter properly, or is something wrong?
Anyone else faced any of these? Known issues on the 250 Duke / Vitpilen platform? What did your service center do? Should I be worried or does it sort itself out with running-in?
Thanks 🙏
Hi guys - trying to save a few bucks! I'd love to get these new non-OEM batteries working in my 450x. I'm thinking I solder some resistors inline on the yellow cable, or I somehow crack open the old battery and try swap the BMS over to the new battery. Any one able to share any tips?
Just picked up my brand new Husqvarna 701 Enduro Rally—big upgrade from my KTM 390 Adventure and I’m honestly pretty hyped about it.
Haven’t even ridden it yet, but just sitting on it you can already feel it’s a totally different level of machine. Maybe a bit much bike for me at 110 lbs 😅 but we’ll find out soon enough. Either way, I’m stoked to start getting it dialed in. Insta @Its_Just_Ziggy
What do people think about selling used auto mowers? I have a 430X that’s sat in my shed for 2 seasons because of a broken boundary wire that I’ve never taken the time to troubleshoot/fix (we had 3 trees cut down, which decimated the mine). The mower works fine, but may need the 4G cellular chip upgrade.
Has anyone sold their old mower? If so, how did you go about finding a buyer? Thanks!
She sees mostly single track but I throw the supermoto wheels on to rip around town when I’m not on the trails.
Just incredibly happy with the bike. Been through so many crappy roads, rain, fog, mud, a drop in a rocky dirt, and a crash that took us out for about a month. Almost 20,000km now with all DIY maintenance and mods and it's running beautifully. Sure, there are fair bit of scratches, bad paint retouches, and even had to weld a bracket with my crappy welding skills but I still can't help but admiringly stare at it for a moment whenever we go for a ride or when at home. So yeah, let me just proudly share again some photos of my little Vit.
Hi guys,
I have a 2024 Husqvarna FE 350s and wanted to ask a wiring question for anyone who has already gone down this same rabbit hole.
I’ve seen several companies, including TacoMoto, offer full wiring harness kits that allow the bike to properly run LED taillights and LED turn signals. I ended up purchasing a TidyTails setup, and I also recently installed the ring-style fork turn signals.
I’m currently running into the usual LED signal issues. I understand the general problem already. The bike does not seem to like the LED setup without added resistance or the correct LED flasher setup. Right now, the signals either do not work correctly, or my integrated taillight makes it look like the hazards are on even when only one side is selected.
My main question is:
Does anyone have a video, write-up, wiring diagram, or detailed explanation showing how to modify the stock wiring yourself without buying an entire replacement harness?
I already tried wiring in relays for the turn signals, but for whatever reason they are not getting a full signal and are not turning on correctly. I’m trying to understand the cleanest way to make this work without just throwing a full premade kit at it.
My longer-term plan is to remove the handlebar-mounted switch assembly completely and switch over to a small push-button style setup mounted somewhere on the headlight shroud so it is tucked away and not taking up bar space. I do not ride this bike on the street very often, so I do not really care about keeping the full handlebar-mounted switch setup.
I would also like to add a simple on/off switch for the main headlight since I really only need it at night.
The other thing I saw mentioned online for older models is that some people were able to swap the stock flasher relay for an LED-compatible flasher relay instead of wiring resistors into each turn signal circuit. That would be the cleaner solution if it applies to this bike.
Does anyone know where the flasher relay is located on the 2024 FE 350s, or whether this bike even uses a replaceable flasher relay for the turn signals?
I already downloaded the owner’s manual, but it does not have the level of wiring, fuse, relay, and connector detail I need. I assume the repair manual has the real wiring diagrams and relay/fuse details. If anyone has access to that manual or the relevant pages and is willing to share, that would be awesome.
Not really looking for comments about why I should not do this or why it sounds like a bad idea. I’m just trying to see if someone has already done this exact modification and can point me in the right direction.
Husqvarna riding Mower YTH24v48. New to me mower, and (shockingly) I have an issue. Mower starts up fine, but after about ten minutes of actual mowing (meaning blades engaged), I start getting smoke from the front end, it’s not coming from the exhaust pipe, but more the bottom of the front end. This only seems to happen when the blades are on. When I shut the blades off and mower is still on, the smoke stops. I’ve take the deck off, replaced the belt, and still the same issue. When deck was off, the blades all turned easily. Belt is on correctly, and old belt showed no signs of burning. Chat gpt is indicating clutch issue? Has anyone dealt with this before, or ran into a similar issue? I’m at a loss at the moment on next steps, and hoping the collective wisdom of the internet can save the day
I have an old Husqvarna L65 that I’m looking to rebuild so I can start using it to clean up my parents property and just to have whenever I need it. When I acquired it a few years ago I was told that the fuel or something has gelled up in it. I’m looking to do a rebuild on it so was curious what places I should look for a rebuild kit to get it running good. I have 3 chains for it that all seem sharp. Just wanting to know what I should look at for kits to rebuild and any tips for how I should maintain it. Any tips appreciated!
Original plan for this weekend was to drive a couple hours away and pick up a new 2024. Walked into the shop 5 minutes from my office yesterday and they had just built this and put it on the floor. I played around with it for a while and it followed me home, so I kept it. Standard protection things are already on order. What’s everyone liking for fender eliminators?
Storytime: was riding on freeway to go hit some trails after it took a 3-4 tries to get bike started for a warm up (looking back, should have taken that as a sign but I REALLY wanted to go ride after work). Eventually the bike started sputtering at about 60mph so I exited and then it really started breaking up like it was low on gas (tank was basically full) and died at a light. I pushed it a couple blocks and luckily my dad was able to rescue me with a trailer. Air filter was clean, pulled skin off just in case. Didn't help.
Once home, I tried starting it so my dad could listen and it was running super rough + breaking up under throttle (no load). I cleaned the Golan fuel filter with brake cleaner and changed the spark plug. The old plug was covered in white scaling which indicated a lean condition to me. It started after a couple tries and ran cleaner but died at idle and wouldn't start again. Removed battery for charging and pulled tank off.
Yesterday: Checked valve clearances and all 4 were tight, exhaust was much tighter than intake (intake valves were only like .02mm out of spec, exhaust were .05). Reshimmed to spec, and probably flooded it because I forgot to reattach the spark plug boot. Battery back out to charge, done for the night.
Next morning (today): Double checked valve clearances (still in spec on the loose side), re-calibrated TPS with GET ECU app, turned idle up a quarter turn. Bike started instantly then died. EngineRPM app on my phone was able to clock ~1950rpm for short time at idle. Would not start again unless I held the throttle at 100% for a few seconds before attempting e-start @ 0% throttle. Got a start and tried to catch the revs and it bogged and died as soon as I gave a twist. Removing spark arrestor did not help with starting.
Do any of you have any suggestions? I traced the ground and its still attached to the frame. Currently waiting on delivery for a fuel pressure tester but it still drops gas when I pull the filter off the quick disconnect so I don't think it's the pump. Oil is pretty fresh with maybe 2-3 hours on it. Not sure what else to try.
Just over 100hrs and ~2500miles
