I’m 26F and currently seeing a 29M who is Telugu and from Hyderabad. I’m from a different cultural background, so I’m trying to understand whether there are any cultural differences around dating, relationships and marriage that I should be aware of.
For people who are Telugu/Hyderabadi or have dated Telugu men from Hyderabad:
● Is 29 considered an age where men are generally thinking seriously about marriage, or is it still pretty normal to be casually dating?
● How much influence do family and parents usually have when it comes to choosing a partner?
● Are intercultural relationships generally accepted, or can family/cultural differences become an issue later?
● What is dating culture like for men around this age in Hyderabad?
● And from your personal experience, what are Telugu men from Hyderabad generally like in relationships — communication, commitment, loyalty, etc.?
I know you can’t generalize an entire community, so I’m specifically looking for personal experiences and cultural insight, both positive and negative.
