Purple Lock of Nisos

After hearing the complaints of my friends about the Looting V price and how rare it is on ironman, I wanted to figure out a place to put an upgrade stone for it. So I came up with the idea to introduce a Looting V upgrade stone as one of King Minos’ other drops.

Why is Looting V an issue?
Looting V in its current state increases drops by 75%, so realistically you need a Looting V book for every main weapon of a skill. Dark claymore/Hyperion for general use, Daedalus Blade for Diana, Flaming Flay for fishing, even Gemstone Gauntlet for Glacial mobs. This doesn’t seem like a lot of books initially, but that is over 2.5m RNG meter from the Experimentation table to get the book for 5 weapons. This number will only increase after the Magic Find Rework, which will make Looting V give Magic Find rather than just increasing drops. So now you’re looking at 5/6 more books if you're slayers and chasing for their rare drops. It’s just a ridiculous amount of Looting V books that you’d need on weapons without a proper way to obtain it. By having a new way to obtain Looting V, it’ll solve the problem while making King Minos more exciting to kill/lootshare.

The Solution?
By having King Minos drop a Looting V upgrade stone, it’d give more of a use to King Minos while allowing a way for Looting V to become reasonably obtainable. A reasonable drop rate would be 0.5% like the Fateful Stinger upgrade stone. A bit more common than the Shimmering Wool due to how many you’d need, it’d keep the Shimmering Wool as the “chase drop” while having Looting V be the more common repetitive drop due to the amount you’d need. The Looting V upgrade stone being obtainable from Diana would also make sense, considering that Diana is the activity all about Magic Find.

The Item?
Digging into the actual mythos of King Minos, when he went on his war against the Athens due to the death of his son, he camped/attacked a city named Megara. The King of Megara, Nisos, had power due to his hair which made it so King Minos could never successfully take down the city. Until King Minos convinced Nisos’ daughter, Scylla, by tempting her with a Golden Necklace to cut off her father’s hair. Driven both by greed and love for King Minos, Scylla cut off her father’s lock of purple hair, causing Megara to fall.

The item takes inspiration from this mythos mainly for Scylla’s greed being able to be tied into Looting being seen as greed. The item is:

Purple Lock of Nisos
- A Symbol of Greed and Betrayal from the hands of Nisos’ own daughter, now in your hands.

Conclusion
The introduction of this item would fix a very powerful enchantment's scarcity due to it only being obtainable from the Experimentation Table. The Purple Lock of Nisos would allow players to reasonably grind for the enchantment without having to spend months doing experimentations and hoping to get lucky or pitying the drop while also giving King Minos more of a reason to both lootshare and actively go for. For bingo how do you get enough damage to kill automatons quickly enough to avoid dying in order to get the sapphire crystal, or is it better to spend time getting a better mining setup and mining for the parts. Currently using ender armor/equipment with dragon short bow to try and be far enough away.
