3+ months of depression room vs. 5–6 hours of pure determination

This is what my room had looked like for over three months. I work as a waitress in restaurant, and after 16-hour shifts, I basically just collapsed into bed with a bottle of beer.
Then the mess slowly started piling up… and piling up. 😅
Then, of course, I went on vacation, came back, and immediately went straight back to work, so the room stayed exactly like this.

But today I finally couldn’t take it anymore.
I spent around 5–6 hours cleaning and organizing this 2x4 meter room completely by myself, and honestly… I’m pretty proud of myself.
Now let’s see if I can keep it this way for more than a month. Knowing myself, probably not. 😂

Cleaning Depression Room

I made this timelapse of the start to almost the finish of me cleaning a depression bedroom in my house. It represents many hours of work over two days to help reset the room occupied by years of depression and an eating disorder. The carpet will be replaced. I vacuumed only to make a slightly better “after” for the former occupant.

Is my room clean?

Doing a room tour tomorrow for someone and need to know if there’s anything I can’t see or am used to seeing that’s actually dirty/unkept

Cleaned my room today!

I finally cleaned out my room today after ignoring it for weeks, and the relief I feel is immense. Nothing crazy, but I’ve been avoiding laundry and reorganizing my desk for over a month. Took two hours with music on but now just walking back in here fills me with more confidence in myself to do things
