How tough are the first year exams? Both odd sem and even sem? And how to upskill ourselves with the strict college timings?

there is a hidden wifi network in the ground floor hall in the gurukul campus, maybe still ther, wps nabled. amyone from there, try pixie dust, or brute force pin. ig both available in wpa wps tester app for pc. otherwise get a rooted android with android version less than 8.

Everyone giving different answers so ig it depends on year as well. Will the 75 percent criteria be held for all 4 years or is there some relaxation. Also how important is 75 percent criteria or can I provide a genuine medical reason and be exempt?

Mai 5 days ki leave chahta hu will it be difficult for me ? Amit Nandi is my class mentor he was just telling everyone ki leave chaiye hogi toh just inform him before ?

Also is 100% attendance a myth and how can I use my 12 days leave per semester and yellow 12 din Mai absent mark hunga if I take the leave ?

if i dont get the medical certificate work done , will they let me do the college , coz on monday the doctor have no vacancy.

So I'm in B4 freshers batch and the entire environment of the class feels so gloomy and dead, and i genuinely can't even think of making any new friends here. Moreover it feels NOTHING like a college at all.

I am fairly new to Kolkata(I'm bengali btw) so it just adds up and idk I just feel like isolating myself. The entire building gives a government hospital sort of vibe and the infra is just bad at its least.

Idk how long it will last like this or is it just because I had very high hopes but idk man..

If anyone feels the same feel free to contact cuz getting this sort of vibe from a college just affects the approach of a student a lot.

I have maths and python books from 1st year. Does anyone want to buy them at low price?

If anyone gets a job and doesn't accepts the Offer Letter. Will that be considered as placed or not ??????

Read this carefully.

I was also scared about their rules and everything, my class had mixed student groups. Many were good in studies and many were not. If u also feel the same don't worry. I am in 2nd year and I can tell what I did in 1st year.

I ignored their "mandatory" threats. Yes u can ignore it for long enough without getting scared and they will stop. Don't get scared easily, these are just tactics to control 1st yr students.

Don't pay for unnecessary things like shoes, books, pt uniform( I have still not bought it). There will be money in every matter. IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE.

Keep yourself anonymous and don't grab attention. Don't be a bootlicker. If you want to become the teacher's favorite, all the best to your future, YOU ARE DOOMED.

Don't participate in any of their events. Everything requires money and everything is fake. Attend fests outside college. Do activities from other colleges, that will boost your cv too. Paid certificates are not worth it. Yes, nptel is not mandatory.

Bunk class. Yes I bunked class EVERYDAY. I got 8+ cgpa in both sems. Did not receive any backlog(cannot tell what will happen next). Be confident, take some friends of your class and BUNK, go home and study. They will stop caring after a few days. Bunking is easy without bag, don't be scared. 12 days leave is a joke. Take leaves before exam as much as your want, they will not care GUARANTEED.

Study hard and improve skills and take placements. We should try to improve college reputation as afterall we are studying here...don't want it to be next galgotias.

You don't have to follow everything they say. They are just there to scare. I talked without hesitation infront of the whole class, they argue without logic.

And ofcourse small things like wear any shoes, don't wear tie, wear any belt...

FINALLY. BREAK THEM SLOWLY. DON'T GET BROKEN. BE CONFIDENT. DON'T GET SCARED.

placement wise which branch gets the most preference? core cse or the ones which include other specialisations? also while filling the form i found cst and csit, which one should i prefer? seniors please let me know!
