I was applying for an MA in Economics through IGNOU at Jesus and Mary College.
Do I only have to appear for the exams there, or are there any classes I need to attend as well?
I enrolled in MAEC in 2024. I had submitted my assignment for the 1st year in 2025. In June the exams were also scheduled, but I had my UPSC Mains scheduled for August - so I decided to skip the exams in June. I later had other commitments scheduled till now, somehow I missed about this degree. I want to finish this degree on fast paced in this year, can anyone suggest me how should I go about it and finish all the exams. It is very urgent.
I enrolled in MPS Masters of Political Science in July 2024. Due to my CSE Mains in 2025, couldn't give my first year exams in June 2025. Similarly, Due to my CSE Interview, couldn't give them in December 2025. Now, I haven't submitted my second year assignments and not given the exams of both years.
Please tell me the way, so that I can do the assignments of second year and exams of both years. On the Samarth portal, I donot see any option for the same. Please guide
I submitted my assignment in March 2026 and got a slip. I recently shifted places and had surely kept all IGNOU documents together at one place. However, that small slip is nowhere to be found now. I do have a clear photo of it though.
What can be the repercussions? Since IGNOU is notorious for not replying to mails, what should I do in case I have some query related to assignments and have to visit the RC/ SC physically? Do they issue duplicate slips if I show them the photo?

Hey everyone,
I’m in the BAHIH (History Honours) program. My final semester exams are due in the June 2027 cycle (which runs until late July).
However, a government exam I want to apply for has a strict document deadline in end June 2027. Because my IGNOU exams finish late, I won't have my passing certificate in time and will be disqualified.
Can I prepone my final papers and write them in the December 2026 cycle instead?
Will IGNOU ever make an exception and conduct exams early for a student with a government job deadline?
I know about "Early Declaration," but that only speeds up grading after writing the exams. My problem is the actual exam dates.
Any workarounds? Thanks!
