I am a 25 year old CA Final and CFA L1 student. I have registered for the Qualifier exam for BS in management and data science program of IITM. I haven't received any formal communication from IITM regarding the registration. I only got a mail from razorpay for payment of fee. Is this how it is supposed to be

And I have some doubts regarding this qualifier exam

Since it's been 8 years since i completed my schooling most of the concepts I don't even remember anything

Will the lecture provided by IITM be enough for me to recall the same and clear qualifiers?

How many hours should I allot daily from June 12 to July 19 for the preparation of the qualifier?

Will the classes be in any app or in the website only?

Anything else should i know, I'm fairly new to the undergrad setup itself.

I joined the foundation in sep 2025 term . Failed maths 1 and stats 1 end term ( cause had to do a job to fund myself) again took only maths 1 and stats 1 in Jan 2026 term and failed both of them again . I am not asking for ur guys sympathy cause I know it's all my fault , haven't even told my parents about it but the guilt is eating me up . I would appreciate any advice / thought from you guys

Hello everyone,
I completed MLF, MLT, and BDM in Term 1 - 2026 and scored well in all three courses. Along with the IITM BS degree, I’m also pursuing an offline engineering degree.

I’m currently confused about course selection for the upcoming term. Should I focus on completing the Data Science diploma first, or should I take a mix of both Data Science and Programming courses this term?

It would be really helpful if someone share their suggestions regarding workload, balance, and long-term benefit.

How long does it take to start the 2nd term of foundation course, after the end term?
There is no update email from their side after the end term exam. Certain things have changed in the website, on logging in. The result and CGPA are out. But term 2 classes are not yet announced.
Exam got over on 10th May.

Genuine advise needed that how much minimum CGPA should a person have at the end of the foundation level like minimum to continue further safely ?

I gave my qualifier last year in September, I was in class 12th, originally planned to join the program in September 2026 but since the class 12th results are out I am looking for a way to join the program this term, ie May 2026, I just want to know if whether im too late to register for courses this term or is it still possible, and if it's possible, what are the dates to do so, id also need to verify my class 12th marksheet so help with that would also be nice, thanks

I had taken commerce in 11th and 12th. Now i am planning on taking B.com specialised in finance and management in narsee monjee college, mumbai. So i thought I can take up an online degree alongside it will be an additional feather in the cap. Now i am confused which of the following degree should I choose? IIM Bangalore BBA DBE or IITM BS either in management and data science or data science and applications.

Are there any other such online degrees offered by prestigious colleges which I should consider? What is your opinion on it? How rigorous is the course esp for someone from a non-technical background? Is the degree worth the time and energy spent? How is the faculty? Are there live lec if so what time and if not then are recorded lec easy to understand?

Hello : urgent advice please reply : i was planning to give cuet for bba from tier 2 universities like bbau/lu/hbtu !! but the problem is they aren't very powerful by themself in the sense that i may want to do job before going for cat and mba !! and my interest in tech is driving me towards the bs degree but my parents say that managing both is not possible and feasable so choose 1 !! i'm willing to choose bs but the fact that it's online haunts me !! should i go for it standalone ? i may aim for job or mtech or mba later !! my maths is bit average but i'm really interested in tech !! is dropping a tier 2 university bba worth for this ? i need urgent advice from people already doing it !! also to avoid isolation and loneliness and have peers like college...i want to have 1 or more people who are already doing this degree so that we can be roommates(we'll decide the location for pg probably metro cities delhi lucknow etc for exposure and interships) but he should be doing it confidently not to drop out of it !! bba ain't attracting my interest and i want to stand on my feet do something...get financially independent etc !!

IIT Jodhpur just wants to mint money and that is very sad, at least IITM has mechanisms of resolutions. This degree is useless, the support is very shitty and futurense people act as if they are IITJ themselves and are literally a set of illiterate people. I had a really bad experience with this shitty shit of a degree, I am from a top DU college and the counsellor said,-"Arey ye toh IIT degree hai, aapki degree jays bhi ho, aapko job thodi na mileage." Reason ko region spell kar rhi the. Dont join, very very shitty, join IITM in stead, far better

How did you manage to study Maths 2, Stats 2, and Python in a single term? Is it manageable

Hello everyone, I'm a 19 year old who took a drop last year to prepare for jee but ended up doing worse than the year before, i qualified for jee advanced last year so I'm eligible for direct admission if I'm correct, but tbh i'm in a difficult position, my parents are hellbent on making me attend a college offline as well, I'm not sure because I kinda messed up my state entrance exam for engineering colleges due to health issues, so I'm not too sure about it, I'm not sure whether I should a local college or not while pursuing this degree, I'm very confused about all that but I'm quite interested in data science and am ready to invest myself id appreciate if you all could share any tips or things I need to know beforehand , i also want to know where exactly I should expect from this degree throughout all years and any opportunities as well as what I should expect after completing this degree from placements, packages to further studies I'd appreciate it if you could let me know what I'm getting myself into as my seniors

Hii im from non math background so I struggle in math a lot I'm getting aproxx 35-36 marks out of 40 will they pass me I have also messedgef them

So i am going to start the diploma in this upcoming term and i wanted to know from the people who are in diploma or higher about doing one diploma at a time or mixing both.

I am not that much good at math but i am trying to be better at it (i barely passed in the term where i had maths and stats).

And if you guys could suggest me on how to improve it that would be great.

Can someone please explain the exact exam structure of the IITM BS in Data Science program in detail?

I already understand how end-sem exams are conducted, but I’m still confused about

OPPEs ...like how many times they are conducted and their difficulty

what is the pattern of the quizzes and also their difficulty

Bsaically, what does a normal term actually look like from a student’s perspective? How many exams/quizzes happen per course and how stressful is the schedule realistically?

I’ve heard in the IIT Madras BS degree that video lectures can be really long and boring. A lot of people seem to use other resources alongside.
