I have got iit patna civil engineering and based on my rank and the cutoffs going on in josaa i might get bs economics in iit patna. So I need urgent guidance regarding should I freeze with iit patna civil engineering or should I keep slide and wait for bs economics. Would appreciate replies from people who very well know about both the branches in iit patna. A bit urgent bcz tomorrow 5pm is the deadline for the selection of my willingness in josaa

I am allotted iit bhubaneshwar civil yesterday in the second round and I have iit patna civil in my preference list. My query is whether should I freeze my seat or float keeping in mind I may get patna easily and the above options have a gap of 500-1k rank difference.

I want to know about the college life the hostels food and the campus selection scenario, do the software companies let the core students sit in placements or there are some restrictions.

The only reason I'm being a lil hesitant towards iit patna is that I've lived in patna all my life and I need some exposure but that not a big issue if IIT patna is better than iit bbsr

So I want your help and provide me all the information, thankyou so much seniors!

I may be joining IIT Patna and wanted to know honestly about campus life there.

How is the overall student life outside academics? How much freedom do students have, especially regarding hostel timings, going out at night, late-night food places, walks, cafés, and hanging out after midnight?

Also, how is the mess food in terms of taste, hygiene, variety, and cost? Are there decent canteens or late-night food options on/near campus?

How are the basic services like Wi-Fi, laundry, medical support, shops, transport, water, cleanliness, and hostel maintenance?

Would really appreciate honest experiences from current students.
