One of my friend is joining iit indore this year in cse branch and he is ews pwd candidate. He is frightened if he'll pass physical verification or not ( he has bent knee ). Though he has 40% disability certificate but still doubtful for physical verification

So can anyone tell how hard checking is there and also how do they verify if it's actually 40% disability like they send u to doctor for verifying or by them selves also has anyone failed it till now ?

different for boys n girls? girls specific timing?

Joing for masters after Btech at NIT

Hi everyone,

my\_qualifications B.Sc. under NEP 2020 from a DAVV-affiliated college with Major Botany and Minor Chemistry.

I study Chemistry (theory + practical) throughout all 3 years of my degree.

I want to pursue M.Sc. Chemistry through IIT JAM.

Has anyone with a similar Major–Minor degree been admitted to an IIT for M.Sc. Chemistry? Does Chemistry being a minor create any issue during IIT admissions?

I will be having Mathematics in my last 2 years as a multidisciplinary subject and will write class 12th Mathematics exam through open board

Will I be eligible for taking admission in IITs in MSs Chemistry programme as I'm a minor chemistry student.

I would especially appreciate replies from IIT M.Sc. students, JAM qualifiers, or anyone familiar with the admission process.

I was allotted iit indore CSE branch at iit indore in round 1 of JOSSA and I was wondering whether Iit indore will take over iit bhu in the next 4 years (in terms of placements and closing rank) similar to how iit hyderabad (despite being newer iit) has recently taken over iit guwathi (likely because of location) since iit indore is just below iit bhu as of now.

I would really like to hear seniors' opinion on this.

Edit: Also would iiti be considered tier 1 or 1.5/2 according to you? (I have seen it being called both)

I have 3 options

1. IIT indore materials(sure shot in round 2)
2. IIT ropar chemical(high chances by round 5/6)
3. BITS hyderabad ENI(chances are borderline by 6th/7th iteration)
   now the thing is i dont like much of the topics like semiconductors and LC circuits,etc. of class 12
   but if there is a significant difference in the placements then i am ready to put it in that extra hardwork in eni.

I have heard that freshers need to join clubs

So lets say if i join cricket club so do i need to bring my own kit?

And what other things i can bring to hostel (basic need wale nhi ,mje krne waleee)

Hi, I recently received a PhD offer from IIT Indore under the FA category with CSIR-JRF. Can anyone tell me whether hostel fees are waived/subsidized for JRF holders staying in the hostel, or do they pay the regular hostel charges?
