This heatwave is killing me!

From thumb to pinky (all 2 coats): Low Tide, Unbothered, Bottoms Up, Low Tide, Unbothered

A little shy to post this because my acetone cleanup wasn’t the best, however I was on the struggle bus. Out of the 3 of these, Bottoms Up has the best formula, Low Tide was a little thick, and Unbothered was extremely thick. It wasn’t the WORST polish ever to work with but definitely not beginner friendly. I was aware when ordering that neon pigment IS hard to work with (if I’m remembering correctly) so I’m not saying it’s ILNPs fault, but I should’ve added some thinner!!

For those who would find it helpful, I have fair neutral-warm skin. I’m a True Spring in color analysis. :)

This is my first time trying ILNP, learned about it from Kelli Marissa on YouTube, and I am an instant fan. Great formula and basically one coat coverage with this specific polish. I already have a couple more ILPN polishes picked out for future purchases.

I welcome your thoughts on the polish and my pedicure. I’m a male in my 60’s and I have only been doing my own nails for about 6 months, but love doing it myself.

Hello! As my first real post on my new nail art account, I thought I’d do a round up of my pride nails from this June (plus an extended 4th of July pride one). They are in opposite chronological order, just because I haven’t posted the fishies yet and wanted more eyes on them!

My gay little fish make me so happy to look at. I’d skipped doing nail art the last week of June, I had bad art block after doing 3 weeks in a row lol. But then I got sad that Pride month was ending, and I’m going to a friend’s get together the 4th, so I needed my nails to look cute… so why not combine the summer with the gay and make rainbow fish!

I almost never wear red or blue. The Adrian is magnetic and I did horseshoe velvet. Recess is an AMAZING red. Highly recommend.

I'm still pretty new to ILNP but love their catalog and have a wishlist a mile long. This is the second of their polishes that I've tried. The first was Bluebell. What I found out from those manicures was that, while Bluebell is too cool of a color for me, I really liked the polish consistency, found the application to be very easy, and thought the shimmer was beautiful. All in all, a strongly positive intro to ILNP.

I've so admired all of the elegant sparkly manicures using Juliette that I've seen online. I was so excited to get my new bottle of Juliette yesterday! I've used other brands' metallics and glitters and didn't anticipate any difficulties.

But today's manicure was a tedious, difficult slog with a disappointing result. Before I could use the polish at all, I had to thin it a lot. Then I was adding 10-12 drops of thinner and shaking the bottle hard every 4 or 5 nails for both coats, far more thinner than I've ever used in a single mani before. And it wasn't enough -- the polish would get so gloppy, so fast.

It would have ultimately been fine if I'd been really happy with the result. As fast as the polish would thicken, though, this is not a great manicure -- it looks more amateur-ish than my manis usually do. Now that it's done, I'll enjoy the lovely sparkles and color. But the results-to-effort ratio with this polish was unsatisfyingly low, and I'm not sure I'll want to fool with it again and will likely avoid similar polishes in their catalog.

I'm wondering if anyone else has found this or similar ILNP polishes challenging to work with, and whether you've got any tips, aside from having a full bottle of thinner at hand?

Polka dot colors are Adored and Better Days. I made a jelly sandwich using Coconut Cream.

I tried Mega (S) and omg it’s so gorgeous. I wanted to show it in bathroom light and then with flash but I’ve been looking for a dupe for the 2007 Chanel holographic polish and I think this is perfect!
