Now that she's taken over as showrunner there are accusations that she is a Zionist over on twitter that are spreading to other social media platforms.
Now Hannah has never stated any Zionist beliefs but this mostly seems to stem from :
her being Jewish
her visiting a commune in Israel when she was 18.
10 years ago she did an interview with the Times of Israel while promoting play where she said this:
> Given her interest in complex subjects, the Times of Israel wondered whether Moscovitch might try tackling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
> The playwright (who has a Jewish father and non-practicing Christian mother) received a Jewish education, went on the March of the Living, and spent four months after high school in Israel as a volunteer on Kibbutz Kfar Hanassi.
> To her mind, however, this is not enough to position her to write a play about Israelis and Palestinians.
> “I believe in doing rigorous research. I would have to live in Israel for a substantial amount of time before taking on that subject. North American Jewish writers sometimes take it on and fail because they don’t know what they are talking about,” Moscovitch said.
> “There are enough works out there about North American Jews who go to Israel and discover how much more complex the situation is than they thought or were taught to believe. I don’t have anything else I’d want to contribute to that genre,” she said.
Note the "were taught to believe..." This is a person who clearly questions the Zionist ideology.
I have had conversations with people pushing these claims, when you point out that there's no evidence she's a Zionist they push back with "Times of Israel is a Zionist newspaper." Mind you they would have held this standard to boycott with Zionist ties 10 years ago but it is now applied to everyone and everything anyone has ever done.
Also that was the first time and last time Hannah ever gave an interview to TOI.
Additionally Hannah's father is a Jewish activist whose own views on Israel have evolved to the extent that he is publicly critical of Netanyahu and aggression against Palestinians.

Here are some teasers!
Love of my life was him 😩😭
For some calling Armand a psychopath or a narcissist, I’m not saying he’s innocent or that the things he’s done are okay. He’s done some genuinely horrible things. But you also have to look at where he comes from. He grew up in a completely different time, endured unimaginable trauma, and has had to carry those memories for centuries.
And to everyone saying, “I’d be different” or “I’d do better if I were immortal”… would you, though? Imagine living forever. After a few hundred years, how much would anything still matter? Death gives life meaning. Take that away, and eventually your perspective, your morality, and your sense of consequence would probably change too. I think people seriously underestimate what centuries of trauma and immortality would do to someone’s mind.
This album also has 4 new songs, including The Loneliness remixxx by Mathew Santos!

In light of a lot of recent discourse & discord & argument I'm seeing everywhere the past few days regarding the bias among some fans against Lestat being acknowledged as a victim in any way, the timing of this incredibly insightful analysis popping up in my YouTube feed felt a bit like kismet. As a caveat the creator had only watched through Episode 6 at the time of posting this & you don't necessarily have to agree with every single aspect of her video, but IMO it's still a worthwhile watch — regardless of whether you love or loathe him — as she makes some very salient points about some of the fandom's resistance both to recognizing or acknowledging what was portrayed at the end of Episode 3 and resistance to balanced discussion about Lestat as a nuanced multifaceted character rather than being either a one note villain or an absolved victim (whichever side of the spectrum fans might go ten toes down on).
[My apologies to the Mods if I tagged this incorrectly; if so please let me know what it should be tagged as instead & I will either attempt to edit the tag or repost with it tagged appropriately.]
These rewatches are totally worth it. Bruce got his new name AND group name from HER when the first met ‼️‼️ Hope his ass is rotting in hell 😭😭✌️
This one had me too. 😭
I think I told myself “well at least she has Madeleine wherever they go”. And the fact that she doesn’t hurts me 😢
First Assad and Erick are doing great playing Armand and Daniel. Assad and brings a presence with Armand and gives you the clam yet vicious vibe. While Erick plays Daniel perfectly, to him these vampires are nosey crazy ppl that frustrate him to no end. I love they way they portray the characters individually >!but the two have no chemistry on the show. It just feels random in season 3. I don't see any of the relationship build up and Armand's love confession was out of nowhere. Was he really doing the steps or is he just trying to play Molloy to get even closer to Lestat and Louis.!<
>!Not to mention Assad and Erick just don't have chemistry either, it doesn't look like they're that fond of each other. They work together and it doesn't see like it's anything negative but they aren't selling a romantic couple or even friends. It feels like Daniel became Armand's lackey in exchange for information on vampire heritage and revenge on Lestat and Louis which there isn't much grounds for since Armand is the one that hurt Daniel in San Francisco and Turned him after Dubai.!<

This was inevitable ever since people started using social media activism surrounding media to build popularity.
Lestat has been a fan favorite ever since Anne Rice wrote his book over 40 years ago, when the characters were all white, and used him for the main character of majority of her TVC books.
Show!Lestat is a lot more harmful to Louis and Claudia than in the book. He doesn’t follow the creed of only eating evildoers like in the book. He dropped Louis which he didn’t do in the book. He was abusive to Claudia, which outside of turning her, he wasn’t in the books. He is much more responsible for Nicki’s death than he was in the books.
But Lestat haters would have you believe that the showrunners made him MORE likable because he’s white. 🤣
The characters who have actually been woobified more than their book characters are Louis and Armand. Are the showrunners woobifiying them because they’re being played by POC actors?
Rolin straight up tells us that he didn’t make Louis a slave owner because no one would have sympathy for a slave owner, but you will have Louis fans crying because he admitted to being a pimp, a liar and an abuser. I guess it’s ok to woobify a Black character.
Then we have Armand who has been the most defanged character of the whole show.
Armand doesn’t drop Lestat from the tower. He doesn’t chop Claudia’s head off and sew it back on. He doesn’t non consensually drink from Lestat, and force him to relive his rape from Magnus. He doesn’t force his coven into the fire because they no longer believed in him. He’s not a pedo like he is in the books.
And yet these same Armand fans will sit up here and cry about Lestat being made a victim and is skirting all responsibility when Armand still hasn’t apologized for killing Claudia. Anytime he’s confronted about anything he brings up the fact he was trafficked 500 years ago. Not once has he sincerely accepted accountability or apologized.
IMO it’s not about Lestat’s whiteness. It’s about your favorite character is not the fandom’s favorite character so the most convenient excuse is “it’s because he’s white”.
Another thing I want to point out is Lestat is the only one who apologized to the ones he’s harmed without cutting off their heads and trying to force an apology from them. He is the only one to admit his faults without having to pay someone to hold up a mirror for him. He’s the only one who doesn’t downplay his actions. And he’s the only one who doesn’t use his trauma as an excuse for his bad behavior.
And that has nothing to do with his whiteness.
