“Isn’t she lovely”

Man, I enjoy driving this so much. I took care of the torque converter and replaced the rear springs recently all on warranty. So smooth and impressive it’s just like the old days of the driving a sofa on wheels, but with a modern twist obviously. I think 10th-gen hit the mark of what the Impala stands for. A comfortable full sized sedan with all the creature comforts, but also a decent amount of power that moves this boat faster than you’d expect down the road. This is my daily driver, my fun car is a cammed z28. It’s like the best of both worlds!

*Car previously posted in this thread* 2011 Impala LS 40k miles …. Had it sold on eBay and buyer backed out.

I previously had it sold on eBay and buyer backed out. I have listed for $7500 on eBay if anyone is interested in buying it. Located in Indiana. Discount for cash.

2011 Chevrolet Impala LS (Formally owned by the US Air Force)

•Clean Indiana Title in hand
•Clean carfax in hand
•Brand new tires
•AC and Heat work
•Spent its whole life in Arizona, so no rust
•Low miles

Great grocery getter or first car for anyone. This is a solid car with really low miles. It has obvious blemishes but runs and drives like a brand new car.

Rear view mirror replacement

Current mirror is old and doesn’t stay where I want it to especially when my subs are on. Looking for one that’s more rigid so when I play my subs it doesn’t just vibrate and drop immediately like the one I have now. Currently i just have the factory mirror but I don’t even have it installed because the vibration on it from my subs broke my windshield before lol.

New look?

Painted the rims on my 2012 impala black, hated the silver so much. Was it the move?

Anyone know what this piece is called

So I was driving down the road on my spare tire when the tread from the top of the tire separated from the tire itself. And it took out the splash guard. What is this squiggly piece? That's connected to the bumper that you screw the splash guard into

2012 Chevy Impala steering wheel shakes and vibrates hard when braking

I was wondering if anybody else had this issue with this gen of impala where pressing the brake pedal/decelerating makes the steering wheel vibrate and shake side to side slightly. It’s more violent the harder the stop.

2009 impala bench seat center console removal

So I'm having trouble here. Ig my impala is rare. My shifter is on the steering wheel so all YouTube videos show the standard floor shifter version. I've tried T25 T40 T45 and Philips. None work. The Philips actually fits the best but it won't turn no matter how hard i push. I found a piece at the junk yard but if i can't even get this one off what's the use? Is it glued on or something? Please help. I'm a beginner btw so take it easy on me lol I've changed bulbs, hood latch, mirror assembly, and headlights with no problem.

2012 LTZ Chime & Turn Signals are VERY loud

I just bought this car, and the chime and turn signals are very loud.. and are coming from the front speakers. If it matters, it did come with a Sony XAV-AX3200 radio installed by a previous owner. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Best blend door actuators?

It's time to sit together and discuss which are the most reliable blend door actuators. I've seen multiple reports that Dorman and Duralast (same?) actuators die one after another in less than a year. On the other hand, I've seen the opinion that random Chinese actuators do not break.

I have a random Amazon one which is still working fine after a year. What's your experience and with which brands?

Battery light came on

I bought a 19 year old Chevrolet impala (2007, V6, 166,765 miles) that has a brand new (week old) battery. It just threw up a battery light day before yesterday. It drove home from work fine then to/from work fine. Had it looked at today and mechanic claimed battery light didn’t come on when he checked it and he drove it around to see if there were any issues with it and didn’t find anything wrong with the alternator.

He said it’s possible there’s an underlying issue with the alternator but I basically just have to drive it until the problem presents itself.

I’m having a lot of anxiety that I made a bad purchase even though I bought it from my grandmother who has kept it in great condition and in her garage. I spent $1,000 on the car, paid cash and just put $821 into the brakes as I could hear metal hitting metal. I’ve had the car about a week.

My question with the battery issue is- is this car even safe to drive?

2011 Impala LS - 40k Miles

I’ve got this clean impala I bought from a government auction. Only has 40k miles in it and is absolutely pristine. Not a thing wrong with it mechanically. I really thought I’d get bites on this thing at $8-10k but haven’t yet. Thoughts here? Clean retail value is $8800.

Also a few notes

Spent its whole life in Arizona so no rust
Tires are brand new
Clean carfax
Clean title

What the heck is this noise? Is it normal?

Just got an alignment and new tires. No lights on the dash, and it was doing this before. What gives? New battery etc.

Seems to only happen when the AC is on. I replaced the compressor and fixed the AC already so not sure whats going on.

Is this 2013 impala worth the money?

I’ve always loved the look of these cars and I’ve been looking for a daily car for college. This one caught my eye because of its condition and I was wondering if It was worth the money. 78k miles and it seems like the last owner took care of it.
Edit: I’m going for it, thanks for all the help😛

2014 Impala - headlight socket replacement?

Hi all.

A couple days ago I realized that the passenger headlight was out. I open the hood, reveal the bulb - it's working. I go to put the bulb back in the socket, and this piece loosens (see pics).

It looks like this piece goes over the bulb housing to keep the headlight bulb in place. What the hell happened to it??? Anyway, I must replace it since the bulb is not snug in the socket, causing me to drive around with one headlight.

Anyway, does anyone know what this piece is called? I'm hoping that I won't have to replace the entire headlight assembly...
