Is there ANYWHERE I can get an all aluminum radiator for my 2015 Limited LTZ? (Read description)

I am afraid my radiator is cracked and leaking, and from the Carfax it's been replaced multiple other times, and from Google it is caused by the continuous hot and cold cycles from being on and off so I want to replace it with an all aluminum one so it doesn't crack anymore. There are plenty available, for the 2.5L but nothing for my 3.6L. Is there absolutely anywhere I can get it or do I have to make it myself?

2015 Impala LT Limited - DIY Heater Blend Door Actuator

I just inherited this car and the heater/AC started blowing odd. Then one morning while trying to turn the heat on, it started the dreaded clicking.

I’m planning on buying these and attempting to replace them myself. Or at least the more accessible ones. I’m having trouble finding videos on each one for this specific model. If anyone has any advice or suggestion of a manual I can get, please let me know.

The first mechanic I asked about it quoted 10 hours on just one and based on the videos I have seen, and time estimates from google, it should take max 8hrs for all 3.

Any advice appreciated.

Am I missing something??

I got these 18” ltz wheels for my 07 impala and they’re really far in. I changed the rear struts also but I don’t think that caused a significant difference in spacing. Why are they so far in the wheel well compared to the steelies?

my tribute to the Impala

Hey guys, I’m loving the car culture around the lowriders, especially the 64 impala. I am also a tinkerer. So as a tribute to that, some years ago I started a project for a 3d printed lowrider. Struggled a little and took it aside. This year I opened the old files and it was like a reveal. So I made this little ride, and wanted to share it with you.

What do you think? Is it worth to go further on this project?

about to buy a car

I found a 2016 Impala LT 3.6L with 82k miles. They are asking $15,800. Would this be a dumb decision and am I getting ripped off at this price point?

Built an E85 blend calculator app for Charger/392 owners — would love feedback

What’s up everyone — I drive a 2017 Charger R/T Scat Pack and I’ve been running ethanol blends, so I built an iPhone app called 85Blends to make fill-ups easier.
It’s mainly made for people mixing pump gas and E85 who want a quick way to calculate target ethanol content without doing the math every time at the pump.
Right now it includes:
• E85 / pump gas blend calculator
• “At the Pump” fill-up helper
• Garage for saving vehicle setups
• Fuel log
• Reminders
• E85 station search
I built it because I wanted something simple and clean for real-world use, especially for Dodge/HEMI owners running flex fuel setups, unlocked PCM tunes, eFlexFuel kits, or just trying to hit a safer ethanol target.
It’s free to download on the App Store. I’m not trying to spam the group — genuinely looking for feedback from other Charger/392 owners on what would make it more useful.
App Store link:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/85blends/id6762037468

Will be working on the app and hoping to do lots of features in the future so please let me know what you think 😁

Shorties for SbC

Do they make Shortie Headers for SBC? I have 1969 impala small block 327. If so, can someone show me which model of headers it is and possibly a link?

Few concerns regarding a 2012 Chevrolet Impala 3.6L V6

Car has 105,000miles

Concern 1: Humming/droning noise coming from somewhere in the front end when driving over 25mph. As I speed up the humming increases in frequency. The noise continues even if I let go of the throttle. (this is the exact noise) https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvice/comments/1e3ruun/hummingdroning_sound_at_certain_speeds/

Thing is, I changed both front bearings and rotated the wheels and still the humming persists. So I'm really not sure what it could be.

Concern 2: Slight knocking noise coming from engine area when I accelerate from a standstill. I suspect it to be a CV axle, but I'd like a mechanics opinion. (noise in attached video)

Accelerating

Concern 3: Not sure if the engine bay sounds as it should. Maybe some other owners of this vehicle could chime in.

Does this idle sound normal?

Concern 1 is really what I'm mainly worried about (hopefully it's not a bad axle shaft).

And thanks for the advice.

06 impala fleet center console latch, can’t find replacement

Idk if anyone’s made a post about this before or not, I have a 06 impala fleet model lt, built in September of ‘05 with the bench seat center console that had a broken latch when I bought the car, ordered a replacement off amazon and it won’t fit, screw holes are mounted way too wide, trying to look online for a correct replacement to no avail, including some pictures for reference. First picture is my vehicles console and the second is a one star review of the replacement I ordered on Amazon that complains of my same issue, if anyone can steer me in the right direction I would gladly appreciate it but starting to wonder if I need to replace the lid as a whole to match the replacement part. Thank you

What is this hole in the dash for? 2014 Chevy Impala Limited

It used to have a small black dome type of thing there before I removed the dash. I’m assuming it’s a light sensor for the headlights but just want to see for sure.

95 impala SS 18k thoughts?

40k miles on it

Apparently it’s sat in a barn most of its life and appears to be in pretty good condition.

2015 Impala, stabilitrak+Reduced engine power

So! I have a 2015 chevrolet impala, which has become an absolute nightmare trying to detect exactly what is causing this stabilitrak and reduced engine power to engage randomly. PO191 code has been associated with this issue. We have replaced the fuel pump, the wiring harness, along with the high fuel rail pressure sensor. We're running out of options, and haven't gotten very far.

UPDATE! We replaced the entire throttle body in hopes it would correct the problem. It did, for about 2 weeks and then proceeded to go into REP/stabilitrak again. Now when it goes away my RPMs will bounce when I break randomly and acceleration is lagging. I'm at a loss.

There have been no other codes associated with this issue.

2013 Chevrolet Impala LT sensor issue???

I bought this car about a year ago.

Everything was fine until my morning commute saying that engine needed to cool down.

After taking shit apart, I had opened the housing where the thermostat is located, and there wasn’t even a thermostat inside.

I installed the thermostat, and for months it was fine until I decided to make a commute to San Luis Obispo, which I have done before in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala LT with absolutely no issues.

I noticed as I got about 3/4 of the way there, as I started to climb the Questa Grande, my temperature gauge rose to the white line below the red. I was able to drive back home to Sacramento, while keeping an eye on the temperature gauge and it never hit the red, yet continued to fluctuate the entire trip.

I noticed that driving from Sacramento to Woodland, while I’m on the overpass near the Sacramento Airport, it tends to fluctuate the most and has continued to do so.

I was curious if anyone had any thoughts?

Need help tracking down a part

So the ol girl needs a lot of work. Most of it’s pretty easy but annoyingly the thing giving me trouble is the harmonic balancer bolt. They’re torque to yield and NLA oem and aftermarket(as far as I have found). Does anyone know where I can find one? Or can I just use thread locker to achieve a similar result. I don’t imagine it will ever be off again but I would rather do it the closest to “right” I can. It’s a 3.5 btw

Is there anywhere I can get just the o-ring for this part?

I'm pretty sure that's where my coolant leak is coming from, but I can't find just the o-ring much less the part to buy. Any ideas where I can find it for specifications for it?

Coolant leak

It's a 2015 Impala Limited LTZ with the 3.6 LFX and I've got a pretty bad coolant leak somewhere, but I cannot pinpoint where. I have yet to pick up the car and look underneath fully, which I will do most likely tomorrow. It only really leaks when driving around, and it leaks pretty bad because I have to keep filling the tank to the fill line every 2-3 days, and it's dripping to the ground from around where the AC drain line drips. What could it possibly be?
