- Hi everyone, I have a question and I was wondering if anyone has a solution. I have an FMA helmet that I want to use without a cover, but the problem is that it's obvious at first sight that it's not a real one (obviously because I use it for airsoft, as well as for recreation/inspiration).
- I was wondering if there's a way to make the helmet look more realistic or like the original. I know the first step would be to paint it a color as close as possible, but I'm wondering if there's a way to give it that rough, raised texture that some OPSCORE helmets have, like the one in the photos.

Riot shield in the front, two of the stick guys by the side of the riot shield, and the M79 is a placeholder for a 37mm gas launcher. Regardless he would be behind the team. The stick has steel ball points at each end, meant to break the ribs of anyone coming close. The helmet should also be black, everything else is correct.
Has anyone got any links for a discord about either CAG or DEVGRU for kits, mainly to learn about the units, what they wear etc?

Finally replaced my pattern 58 webbing with something more accurate! I’ve completely custom setup the webbing by myself by myself(minus the front magazine pouches and shoulder straps) and I’m extremely happy with. I Look at countless archived footage and photos online for reference(finding a full body image of a standard front line British Gulf war soldier was a bitch🙏😭💔), this is also the biggest gear setup I have ever done! Pouches are just filled with just Airsoft stuff as stand ins. Thoughts?

I know a couple things are wrong like the claymore bag, still don’t have boots or bottoms or a ruck. But figured it was worth posting. Basing off 1967ish photos haven’t decided on a specific unit.

For the med stuff I’ll work from the casualties IFAK before dipping into my bag. The plate carrier is for triage and quick access trauma for folks w/ out IFAKs/who need further trauma gear

M1 Helmet with shrimp netting, with a plastic liner i do plan to change in the future
M37 service shirt, which is a cotton material, whereas originals variants were made from wool
M41 Field jacket, lacks lining material, but isnt horribly visible combined with the service shirt
OD7 Wool trousers
M43 double buckles, which were extremely common with the unit im portraying and fairly common in 1945
M1 Carbine, with the more rarer in the eto bayonet lug which im looking to get removed (air vintouri for those curious)
Items needed/wanted: Vehicle operators permit, which i did try to order but has yet to arrive
Tanker jacket, which i dont necessarily need, but it would but a nice bit of kit for an armored division impression
