Recently made a job switch to lala company, it wasn't easy anyway let's come to the point. After joining the lala mnc, project interviews are taking place which is more rigorous than in my previous company. Multiple managers/team leaders taking interviews and that's fine.. recently received a call from a project where two team leaders took interview with my camera on and sharing my screen, was asked to write code. Everything normal and as expected so far.

Cut to after clearing that round, the onsite (indian went to UK)manager, enter creep, initiated with switch on your camera, i asked to stay on call and give me 2 secs will be camera ready..

Creep: Aise kya taiyar ho rhe the tum kuch bhi pehen sakte ho it's fine.. bolo kya pehne the

This was unexpected for me i hesitated and tried to brush it off by saying since I'm wfh, i was getting interview ready.

Creep: kya nightdress pehne the kya.. kya pehnte ho ghar pe

I was visibly taken aback and said whatever people wear it's just getting professionally ready.. trying to still brush it aside.. he kept insisting i answer his question

moving on.

Creep: achha toh tumko dekhke lagta hai you might be young.. are you married? you are very pretty.. actually i am very unlucky in this regard.. but i am a nice guy i like to help others but ajkal ki ladkiyo ka bohot demands hai.. you also seem like a very good person.

Mind you this is our first interaction.

Creep continues: Toh tumhara shaadi hoga fir wo kaha kaam karte hai you might be asked to come onsite usko problem nahi hoga fir? uska shift timing kab tak hai? tumlog kitne saal se eksath ho? tumko khana banana ata hai? good for you guys.. achha uska height kitna hai tumse lamba hai?tum bhi mere bare mein puch sakte ho..

By this time i was extremely uncomfortable, project interview is being conducted by asking personal in depth questions like this??

Eventually the interview ended, further client interview might be scheduled next but i vehemently want to reject this even though i am on bench and this might cost me in my career as to HR might ask why I'm unable to take in opportunities. I do not know what to do i do not want to interact with such an invasive person with a higher position of power. No one will come to my rescue later on. Maybe i am overthinking it.

What should i do?

I'm a recent grad who just became a full-time employee at a small company where I interned for a year. A close friend from my batch (let's call her X) joined with me. We've trained, interned, and worked on the same projects the whole time.

The CEO calls X a "rising star" and asks me daily where she is if she's late. On our client project, she often works until 3-4 AM and messages our lead and PM late at night. I work normal hours and finish my tasks.

I have no grudge against her, but I feel under-confident and worry my lead and PM think I'm doing less just because her work is more visible.

Do you think I'm obsessed with her, or is it normal to compare when you've done everything side by side? What would you do in my place? Please be honest.
