Lekin aajkal utni hasi nahi ati abhi ke vedios pe 🙃

  1. Ashish solanki

Behen ki shaadi was my first stand up comedy video of his, after that he became one of my fav stand up comedians.

recommend me some stand up comedians based on these people i liked:

I'm pretty new to stand up. i have not watched so many comedians but I have tried some.

here are the ones I laughed most at:

  1. abhishek upmanyu: this man is just funny. his skits made me laugh without using much cuss words.

  2. manik mehna : bro is funny. initially i had doubts but he's op.

  3. madhur virli : he's around my age so also relatable in age experience. i loved his papa and IIT dream video. I've just one issue with him, his topic is too repetitive. seems like every other video is about sex and girlfriend. initially i found it funny but it needs to be changed otherwise comedy is top tier.

  4. kaviraj : controversial but based on comedy, top tier for Me but i don't completely agree with him on certain things.

boring for me : akash gupta ( found him below average), viswa ( just meh for me), bassi, zakir ( not slightly funny).

Gaurav Kapoor stand-up content recycling

At Gaurav Kapoor's Hyderabad show. Looks like he has been using the same content over last 1.5-2 years. Exact same jokes with hardly any changes :( Is this the same in other cities too?

Hi friends - I’ve released a brand new standup video. If you haven’t seen me do jokes before, this would be a good place to start.

If you click on the link, do watch the full thing, drop a like, comment and hype the video.

Thank you and lots of love!

RESPECT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

Back in 2022. I was having a dream to clear JEE and get into IIT’s. That glamorous package and dream job was providing fuel for it. I finally chased it in 2023. But at what cost - losing myself. I don’t know what is wrong in this country where every person is fighting for same thing. No one is gonna think about new thing. Startup bana raha hain to sirf khana ka, logon pagal bana ka. The first sheet you see I have filled around 30,000 sheets like this in 6 months to learn things that are not even useful. This country will never progress if like this things will keep moving. Last year I sat for my internship then we have to learn ourselves for it. Our college didn’t provided those skills. Such a waste knowledge that our universities, oh sorry top universities provide. After so many years I realised that this study is just waste that was just meant to keep you away from thinking independently. After studying these anyone can just become employee nothing else. But trust me I am leaving this country and will only return when I become something on my own.
Thank u so much to our education for giving me nothing 🙏🏻

Trust me never work in corporate because they are just here to use you and destroy you. The companies that are basically starts from india are mostly just looting people. They provide lowest standard products. Because our honourable government helps them.
Why always people of india are looted? Why?
I am going abroad to find the answers
Thank u for reading
Love u all

The death of Indian stand up comedy is our fault.

Everyone complaining that Samay Raina is too safe now.

What did we expect?

Did we stand with Samay Raina when the right wingers came for him?

Did we stand outside the police station in droves demanding that our law not be misused to put a comic in jail?

Did we file counter petitions against motivated writs in Supreme court asking how is it that this is the Supreme Courts problem when our country has so much more to think about?

Did we stand and protect the India habitat centre when political goons came to vandalise it?

Did we ask the politicians and the judges who jumped on the bandwagon, what the fuck have you done that you're on such a high horse?

Freedom of speech isn't free. We had to fight for it. And we didn't.

Our comedians in India are the easiest punch down for every Supreme court judge, for every Politician, for every loser who wants to earn virtue signalling points without having to do anything themselves. Because they have no one in their corner. Even their fans decide to mind their own business when the vultures come for them.

Samay, and others have the mandate, go earn money. But stay away from dangerous topics. There are people like Kunal Kamra, who will keep fighting the good fight, but as long as we keep letting the powers that be control us, this is what will keep happening.

Indian comedy is dead again

The peak was reached with AIB, TVF, then Upmanyu, Samay, and Mahana. It was dead for a long time before that.

This is a massive slump and the content being produced is just average and very predictable. Mind you, I'm not asking for dark humour or anything like that. I just think there is not much experimentation and whatever is there is just too safe (again not dark humour).

Maza nahi aa raha aur hasi to bahut kam aa rahi (zabardasti has deta hun kabhi kabhi)

Vir Das is pretentious and unfunny

I’ve noticed this behaviour from his fanbase who usually think he’s the second coming of Osho. Vir Das writes jokes to garner applauses, not laughs and that’s my biggest problem with him. Him trying to philosophise his comedy to appear more cultured and sophisticated, so that people can remark ‘Damn Vir, you’re so intelligent, you’re more than just a comedian’ is exactly what makes him unfunny. Watching his stand up feels more like a Ted Talk sprinkled with lines that have only managed to make me occasionally chuckle. And no, it’s not because ‘iT’S toO deEp fOr mE’ when his entire schtick is just pedestrian hot takes on the most trending topics. Like dude, I don’t care if your entire act is a story, or long jokes with misdirection, or one liner after one liners. Just be funny. I didn’t sign up for a sociology lecture.
