Hiring 2D animator

Posting on behalf of a friend who’s not on Reddit, you can apply here (dm your portfolio link) or you can apply on indeed and other job sites where the job application is open.

So the job is for their YouTube channel, looking for someone to add life to their ideas (under their direction of course).

The style is 90, 2000s animation, very whimsical, storybook style animation.

5-6 minutes every month

Remote position, will require full time hours tho.

You will work with one more animator.

Work is (to put it briefly)-

Character design, polish storyboard (or jump straight into animatics), colour.

Looking for someone with technical skills (animate, procreate, after effects etc) even if no professional experience.

So please share your portfolio. Thanks

I made a short animated music video inspired by “Barsaat Bhi Aakar Chali Gyi” 🌧️

I made this short animated music video using four lines from Barsaat Bhi Aakar Chali Gyi.

I wanted the visuals to capture the mood of the song rather than simply illustrate the lyrics literally.

This is one of my experiments combining 2D animation, music and visual storytelling.

I'd love to hear what you think about the atmosphere and animation.

I also post my animation and other creative work on Instagram: u/uniquesarma 📸

Is the anime course at IACG Hyderabad actually worth it?

I have too many doubts about their j anime grad and especially j anime pro program, whether it's a master's degree or not, also have doubt about the faculty, their website shows 3 Japanese mentors but I can't get any information about them on Google or My Anime List, also... Isn't Animators salary in Japan dependant on a per cut basis instead of a fixed annual salary? (Only exception being KyoAni)... So how are they offering a fixed salary range?

Anyways if anyone has enrolled there, please share your experience? Is it actually worthwhile?

Arcane - Inspired Stylized Character

Arcane-inspired stylized character I created in Blender, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.

I wanted to experiment with a more hand-painted texturing approach while keeping the character stylized and expressive. I also played around with the hair design, jewelry, clothing details, and overall color palette to give her a distinct look.

Would love to hear what you think, especially about the hand-painted textures and character design.

Animation Movie Production

So we are thinking to make a animation production and we don’t have a budget right now, but we have vision we have script and we have different talents, but if anyone was an animator and who is thinking to start his own production, let’s get in touch, so please don’t fight back about the zero production idea as we want to grow first, and let’s see how we can grow together, and yes, let’s see how we become another home grown production house
