Well I am a 3d artist. I do renders, model, texture, basic of rigging animation. I am planning for comedy YouTube channel on specific constant characters. What I am not confident with is how do make facial expressions and lip syn. Animations for body i can handle also i can use Ai n mixamo. What I need a process of automatic facial animation in Maya or blender or unreal.

I created India's first AI-animated Tamil sibling characters — here's how Lokesh and Varsha came to life

Hi r/tamil 👋 I'm Ganga Ponnu, an AI content creator and blogger from Chennai. For the past year, I've been building an animated educational YouTube channel called RandomTyms — completely solo, zero budget.

The characters are Lokesh and Varsha — a chaotic younger brother and a calm elder sister — who teach science, English, and digital safety in Tanglish (Tamil + English) for kids.

What makes them unique: they're AI-animated original characters created from scratch, with consistent personalities across every episode. I do the scripting, prompting, animation direction, and publishing — everything — alone.

A few things I'm proud of: 🏆 State Level 2nd Prize — MeitY ISEA National Competition 2025 (Cybersecurity Cartoon Storyboards) 📺 35+ episodes across Space Secrets, Little Scientists, Digital Dharma and more

🇮🇳 Possibly India's first AI-animated original Tamil sibling characters built by a solo creator

I'd love to know — do you think Tamil kids' content in this format has a future? And would your kids (or younger siblings) watch something like this?

I need some suggestion about opening up an animation company

I have been in the animation industry for the past 4 years. Rn I've got some money coming my way through a friend (About $100k ~ 1 Cr INR). We both want to invest it in making an animation company. This is all the money that we can afford rn and I was thinking what will be the best way to approach this whole thing? Like do we focus on making IP (like making a pilot) and then going to investors/ producers? Or taking up service projects? We can't make a full-fledged physical office with 20-30 employees, so we'll need to do it through either remote or freelance work.
What would you do?

A warm hug for my Dad

This is what I made after I been layoff from animation industry.

I am a 3d Animation. But wanna 2d Instead of learning it. I just went on with it.

Animation principles were same.

It's not the best. But this one step made me do something for myself.

I didn't aimed for perfection and that made me to complete it on time.

This film is for my father. Who made me responsible.

He made me fight my fears.

Made me who I am right now.

Watch CGI > (Sound on)

Sharing a recent personal project of a watch cgi/animation. Few months back I watched some incredible work by PUCK, specially their watch cgi done for IWC. I was awed with the intent and motion design. Back then, i decided to do a watch animation and here we are.

Few of the shots are inspired by IWC - Ingenieur. It took me around a month or so from storyboard to final production. For the sound, I am not a professional sound artist, I just used some folleys and basic layering for the sound design in Adobe Audition.

For me personal projects are an important part of creative process, they give me space to explore ideas freely and test visual direction.

any decent animation studios that work with indie budgets?

making a 2D animated comedy pilot, 22 mins. self funded so working with indie money, not studio money.

looking for a full pipeline shop that can take it from script to finished episode (character design, backgrounds, animation, the whole thing). offshore is fine, anywhere honestly. just need somewhere that actually works with first-time creators instead of only doing work for big studios.

who should i be talking to? drop names. good experiences, bad experiences, red flags to avoid, all welcome.

[FOR HIRE] 2D/3D Animator — Ads, Game Cinematics & Movie-Style Trailers | 3 Years Exp | Starting at $200

Hey all, I'm putting together quick-turnaround animation work for clients who need something polished without the agency wait time or agency price tag.
What I do: commercial/ad animation, game trailers and cinematics, movie-style trailer cuts, motion graphics. 3 years of experience, worked across ad campaigns, indie game projects, and trailer-style edits. Portfolio has a mix of all three so you can see range, not just one style.
Turnaround: most projects done in 3-5 days depending on scope. If you need something fast for a launch, pitch, or deadline, that's exactly the kind of job I'm best at.
Pricing: starts at $200 for shorter motion graphics/ad pieces, scales up from there depending on length, complexity, and whether it's a full trailer cut or game cinematic. Happy to quote once I see your brief.
Drop a comment or DM with what you need and I'll get back with a quote and timeline same day.

[For Hire] I need an Indian 3d modelling sculptor for regular freelance projects.

Hi there, I am looking to get some 3d models made. For such work some sculpting experience is required in ZBrush or Blender. This is a paid gig.

Workflow is pretty simple. I send you 2d images and you create me 3d model in stl format. It's fine if you use AI. Expect 1-2 such projects every month.
