BAD PERFORMANCE IN MINECRAFT
Does anyone know why in Minecraft with vibrant visuals the GPU isn't fully utilized, or if it's a bottleneck? I have a Ryzen 5500 and Arc 770.
Subnautica 2
Crashing on startup with Intel Arc B580. The game did launch before the last update, but was unplayable with low frames and heavy stuttering. I understand its a budget card and so is my whole build, but has anyone had a good/ decent experience with this card and Subnautica 2?
Specs:
CPU i5-11600K
RAM 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz
GPU Intel Arc B580
Is pragmata working on arch?
I keep getting the error message for GPU time out on my B580 and I was wondering if that’s a ARC issue or is that a game issue that can be fixed? On windows not arch sorry
New GPU kills my PC on startup — works fine without it. Dead card?
**Especificaciones:**
- Placa base: Gigabyte AMD B450M DS3H
- GPU: Asrock Intel Arc B580 Challenger 12gb
- Procesador: Ryzen 5 4600 (con gráficos integrados)
- Memoria RAM: 16 GB
Well done Intel! not. New drivers instant CTD on starfield
If anyone knows a solution other than rolling back drivers, please yell. Do they not.. test them? Really teaching us to avoid new drivers with this crap.
should i upgrade gpu or cpu?
I have the acer nitro that i found for exactly msrp from b&h 32 gb ddr5 6000 mhz cl 36 so no bottleneck from rebar or ram there lol and a ryzen 5 7600x running at its max rated clock speed, i play battlefield 6 and minecraft, I want more fps and speed. how much can i stand to gain from upgrading to a 7 7800x3d and is it more worth it than upgrading to a 5070 since where i am the 9070 is also just as expensive lol.
Questions about The b580 on DbH
I did see some subreddits about this topic but it still isnt fixed? A week ago a got a super affordable pc with the b580 and was extremely hyped. Just was about to play something and stumbled upon Detroit. Said fuck it lets play, then the message pops up, so i ignore it. I go ahead and play and run on 2k ultra settings but i freeze for a couple of seconds, then crash, then acts like its normal. Then unfreezes, and when im full of if my computer is not functioning well. Maybe the b580 was a miss?
Is it safe to update to the latest driver?
I have a driver installed from October, Im thinking about updating.
The games I play mostly:
Hunt Showdown
Helldivers 2
Victoria 3
Arma 3
These games work mostly without issues except Hunt, where artifacts are visible.
Should I update to the latest, or latest WHQL driver?
Thank you!

Can you export/backup Arc B580 GPU settings and profile?
I've finally dialed in my Arc B580 settings for smooth performance, and it took a while to get there. Now I'm wondering is there a way to export or back up the current settings and profile from Intel Arc Control?
My main concern is driver updates. If I do a clean installation of new drivers, will my settings get wiped? I really don't want to lose everything and start from scratch again.
Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips would be appreciated!

wccftech.comRecording on B580
I want to record my gameplay. For that, I used Windows default recording and bandicam, but sadly, even if the game doesn't lag, the video stutter or lag. Is there any way to capture without lag and stutter like any recording app or setting?
Capture card audio not working on Arc B580
So, I just bought a capture card to record my PC gameplay on my laptop. The problem I am having is that OBS won't detect the audio from this capture card, it records video without sound, showing only a buzzing noise. I have tried many solutions from YouTube, but most of them show consoles instead of PCs and just repeat the same steps. I also tried using my old phone that supports HDMI, and it works normally. My only guess is that a GPU problem is preventing the signal from being sent to this capture card. Will a branded capture card solve this problem? Have you guys faced this issue before too? :(
3 months of Intel ARC (Personal opinion and experience)
The good, the bad, and reality.
After 3 months with the i5 11400F + Intel arc B580 combo, and since I have a dual boot of Windows and Linux, I can experience both.
(Note: I want to state that for both Linux and Windows, I have always prioritized using the most up-to-date and stable drivers possible (WHQL and Mesa standard).)
The good: I upgraded from an RX 6600 to this ARC B580 12GB, and it's truly a step up in experience. The Intel card performs very well at 1080p (although it's recommended for 1440p, I found the 1080p experience much better). Additionally, it's a GPU that allowed me to test and use ray tracing functionally for the first time (I was able to use Cyberpunk PS5 equivalent + Ray Tracing + Intel XESS UQ and achieve a solid, stable 72fps).
The Intel XESS XMX is undoubtedly a "great evolution" compared to the AMD FSR 3.1.4 that I was forced to use with the 6600. In ultra quality mode, I can barely differentiate it from the native settings. It still has its flaws; it's clearly below DLSS 4.5 and FSR 4.1 (as commented by Digital Foundry, the Intel XESS XMX is very close to DLSS 3.7, so it's not a "bad" positioning by Intel).
Finally, it's a GPU that handles games with DX12 and Vulkan APIs very well. The extra VRAM provides greater longevity compared to the RTX 5050, 7600, and 4060.
The bad:
I have some things to point out regarding this "bad" aspect, as it's not something generalized in the experience.
Firstly, I noticed that the Intel drivers behave very strangely in DX11 and DX9, not in terms of performance itself, but the CPU usage is higher than in the most recent, more demanding games. (driver overhead still has room to evolve)
I even had crash problems in games like Cyberpunk, Fallout New Vegas, and NFS Heat with the drivers I tested when I got the card in February. (I haven't experienced any crashes in those same games between april and may, which indicates that driver stability has also improved.)
Another criticism I need to make is how much inferior Intel's Linux drivers are compared to Windows. It makes sense for Intel to focus on areas with more users, but the lack of XMX on Linux is a real shame. In DirectX 12 games, be prepared to lose 25-35% of performance due to VKD3D, which doesn't handle Intel ARC graphics cards well. DXVK also has some performance loss, but the margin is much smaller.
The reality:
My current view of the Intel ARC B580, based on recent Linux and Windows drivers, is that Intel's drivers have improved and are progressing at an interesting pace, bringing features like Intel XESS 3 and Intel Shader Pre-caching making this gpu pretty good.
However, I still see room for improvement in these areas (which are PURELY driver-related issues).
Remember that I'm citing problems and improvements that Intel CAN and SHOULD make or continue making until the industrial peak of this GPU, which I believe will be by December 2027 (purely driver-related problems or issues that drivers can improve).
1- CPU overhead (severely improved but still not acceptable), this being the most cited problem in the Intel community), specific CPU-bound games at 1080p where mid-range CPUs struggle.
2- This GPU can gain +8-20% AVERAGE performance in various games, given that there are games with very similar APIs and requirements that show a SIGNIFICANT performance discrepancy. (This includes general optimizations and game-by-game optimizations that Intel performs, but may also include improvements with certain game engines).
3- Expansion of "Intel Shader Pre-caching" support.
4- Overall driver efficiency (scheduling, power states, memory management).
5- Visual corruptions/artifacts, stuttering/1% lows, stability issues after driver updates, problems with content creation apps (DanVinci, OBS), crashing, multi-monitor/dual GPU.
Less than optimal performance in FH6
I'm using a Intel Arc B580 and a I9 9900KF, as well as 64GB of RAM, and i'm going through problems in FH6.
Most benchmarks suggest that in gpu bound scenarios (like mine), the B580 can reach up to 90-100fps in ultra settings, but I'm getting around 50fps average.
I made sure to update my drivers to the latest version, as well as made sure to have ReBAR enabled.
Regardless my issues don't seem to be fixed...
I saw some other post a person mentioning Windows 10 as being the culprit, anyone can confirm if moving to 11 would fix my issue?

wccftech.comIntel Arc Pro B70 - Looking for LLM Setup Guidance and Lessons Learned
We have embarked on the B70 journey. Since we have a spare Dell R740 this was a good candidate. Ordered and installed 1 B70 and if we can get everything working well we will likely go with 1 or 2 more. Server has plenty of memory and the absolute best Platinum CPUs for the generation. Hardware is all working well. Looking for setup guidance based on Intel's latest releases. Apparently they have a pre-compiled Ubuntu 25.04 distro that has drivers, etc., pre-installed. Also, pre-defined Dockers too. Help on next steps.
Found these sites that have a lot of the Intel development efforts:

Graphical glitches when entering water and certain dungeons?
I’ve been encountering this glitch since I started playing. I’ve tried downgrading my GPU drivers multiple times over the last few days, and I’m currently running an Intel card, which I think is the problem. I’ve also messed around with basically every setting people are recommending online with no luck. Any help would be amazing, because at this point, it’s basically destroying my progress in the game. Also attached a photo for reference. Any recommendations are appreciated.
