Hi! I just wanna get some advice on buying the latest ipad air for note-taking purposes only. Isn’t it way to overkill having a laptop processing power just for taking notes? I could just buy the old models (ex. Ipad pro m2) for that purpose alone.
Let me hear your thoughts if I should buy the air m4 or just get a refurbished one?
I have an iPad Air M2 (11-inch) that's over a year old. Today, I suddenly noticed several irregular white patches on the display. The iPad has never been dropped. It has never been under pressure or bent. There are no cracks or visible physical damage. The patches are not reflections. They are visible immediately when I turn the iPad on, even before iPadOS finishes loading, so I don't think it's a software issue. Restarting the iPad didn't help. Has anyone experienced something similar?
How is this even possible that my iPad Air m3 drained way sooner and more than my friends iPad Air m2??? Both of us are heavy users using our iPad for everything- assignments,media, gaming while charging for 7-10 hours nonstop whatever you name it!!! 😭💔
I’m gonna start college next month and I’m thorn between an iPad Air and a MacBook Air (the most recent models). I’m gonna study economics.
I wanted to go for an iPad because I feel like it’s more versatile and easier to manage; I also wanted to use it to draw on apps such as Procreate or Clip Studio so I’d also need an Apple Pencil. For the keyboard, I wasn’t thinking of buying Apple’s.
People around me are saying a MacBook has a bigger screen, runs faster and better (especially for AI) and I can pair it with a monitor at home.
I feel like I don’t need one because iPad also got a pretty good chip, runs almost as fast a MacBook and also has Apple Intelligence. Also laptops are heavier and I don’t want to carry all that weight around with me all day.
I don’t feel like I’m making a bad choice by going for an iPad but people keep pressuring me so I’d like to hear other takes on this.
My iPad Air M2’s battery health is currently sitting at 96%, with a cycle count of just 97. Is this something to be concerned about, or could it point to a manufacturing defect? I already have the 80% charge limit enabled.
Unfortunately, my iPad is out of warranty and I don’t have AppleCare+. Would appreciate any tips on how to preserve or improve battery health from here.
I will comment the picture of display after posting. But i was told the display had a weird haze after it was inside a school bag when it rained. Stayed like this for weeks.
We left it in uncooked rice for 24 hours and its still the same. I was hoping it was moisture trapped but rice didnt do anything. Any other ideas?

Estoy teniendo un problema bastante extraño con el Bluetooth de mi iPad Air de 11" con chip M2 (6.ª generación) y quería saber si alguien ha pasado por algo similar.
Compré el iPad en agosto de 2024 y durante todo este tiempo funcionó perfectamente. Sin embargo, hace aproximadamente 3 meses comenzó este problema y desde entonces ocurre todos los días.
Lo primero que noto es que, al entrar en Configuración y tocar la opción Bluetooth, la aplicación se queda congelada durante varios segundos antes de abrir esa sección. Esto solo ocurre con Bluetooth; si entro en Wi-Fi, Batería, General o cualquier otro apartado, todo abre de inmediato.
Mientras la pantalla está congelada no puedo hacer nada. El iPad deja de responder a los toques y, en algunas ocasiones, después de insistir intentando salir o tocar otras opciones, el sistema termina reiniciándose solo. Justo antes del reinicio aparece un destello verde muy rápido en la pantalla (menos de un segundo), luego la pantalla se apaga y aparece el logo de Apple. Todo ocurre tan rápido que no he logrado grabarlo en video.
Cuando finalmente consigo entrar a la configuración de Bluetooth, el interruptor se activa y desactiva solo de forma aleatoria, sin que yo toque nada.
Como consecuencia de esto:
Antes de que apareciera este problema, mis AirPods cambiaban automáticamente entre mi iPhone 14 Pro Max y el iPad sin ningún inconveniente. Actualmente siguen funcionando perfectamente con mi iPhone todos los días, por lo que no creo que el problema esté en los accesorios.
Hace aproximadamente una semana me comuniqué con Apple Support por teléfono. Con mi autorización realizaron un diagnóstico remoto utilizando el número de serie del iPad y me indicaron que no detectaron ningún problema de hardware relacionado con el Bluetooth.
En un principio pensaron que podía ser el Apple Pencil, así que lo desvinculé por completo, pero el problema continuó exactamente igual. Después comprobé que tampoco podía usar mis AirPods en el iPad, aunque en el iPhone funcionan sin ningún problema.
Hasta ahora ya intenté lo siguiente:
Sin embargo, tanto la actualización como la restauración fallan aproximadamente a la mitad del proceso indicando que el archivo o firmware se corrompió, por lo que nunca logran completarse.

¿A alguien le ha pasado algo parecido con un iPad Air M2 o con otro modelo reciente?
¿Creen que podría tratarse de un problema de hardware aunque el diagnóstico remoto de Apple no haya detectado nada? ¿O hay alguna otra prueba que debería intentar antes de llevarlo a un Apple Store o a un servicio técnico autorizado?

I just bought an iPad for a pretty good deal (now) from costco, and got the 128gb model. This will pretty much only be used for drawing and animation (procreate and dreams), and some light media consumption. I don't have any desire to download games on this. I would also like to have a decent amount of pictures (don't need to be the highest res, as they would be reference frames from movies). I will also not be using apple intelligence which I heard can save some storage space. Should I be worried about my 128gb purchase?
People who thinks ipad is for long term ... what's the meaning of using ipad and replace battery every 2 years for a decent backup....still not getting good battery backup .....and come about the ipad os ..it just degrading battery with every update... what's the meaning of software support when u have to worried about how much it will heat the device in the next update!!!

This screen protector just needs to have a nice texture but doest have a matte finish. I don’t really care about reflections and stuff i just want a nice paper feeling when i write with my apple pencil.

So I got a refurbished iPad Air 4th gen a few months ago and I’ve had problems with the screen before but I’m worried this might be a hacker or something? This is the first time it’s done this. It just randomly started typing in passcodes until it timed out
