I didn’t realize the deluxe mini would be so ….miniature.

Not my first purchase from Ipsy but curious if anyone else purchased the Moss+ & Velvet+ duo and received the Moss bottle with no label?
I already contacted Glam Bot.

The rodial collagen drops and mudmasky body scrub are different prices in the shop than in my cart. In the shop, the collagen drops are listed as $10, but once it’s added to my cart, it is listed as $30. The mudmasky is listed as $5 in the shop, but $10 in my cart. Is this happening to anyone else or to more products?

The fenty fragrance set is now available for the ipsy sale if anyone is interested! I have been looking for this to drop from the sale promo. So happy I was able to get it!

Did Ipsy change delivery carriers again? Saw my package was delivered on the Ring camera and the guy tosses my Ipsy box instead of putting it on the porch! I couldn’t figure out how to share a video but in the video you can hear the package slam against the door and bounce! Looks like he pulled up in a regular car and not a van or truck too.

Tracking looks like it came from something called Cirro. It didn’t even tell me where exactly the package was as it was in transit either 🤦‍♀️.

Haven’t gotten home to see if any broken yet 😰.

Hi ya’ll 👋 I just got home this morning at 1am CA time. Came home from CT where my son graduated from a musical theater conservatory (shout out to the theater geeks!)! But flight delays and misses as a result meant I was up for 24 hours strait. Dang! But the first thing I thought of when I woke up was those ipsy packages I came home to on my front porch, but was entirely too exhausted to open.

But now is the time! I thought it would be fun to narrate for you as we open them, especially because one of them is the accommodation package from my missing ND Palette from my Ultimate. I know there have been experiences across the board with the palette missing, issues with black shadow, and some even reporting an ink issue on the outside of the palette. I believe in you, Ipsy! I believe I will have a happy opening today. 🤞

Without further ado.

PIC 1 - The packages! One is the accommodation and the other is MDS.
PIC 2 - My personal Denonas. Throwing these in for good luck! I love her products! Cheek Trio and Hyper Natural from Ipsy and I need a Nude from Sephora.
PIC 3, 4 - Opening the small package and it looks like that’s the MDS! I got 3 items! ND Hy-Gen Skincare Infused Glow Beautifier, ND Hy-GLAM powder foundation, Makeup By Mario softsculpt skin perfector. I love them all!!! I can’t wait to try them out. I love ND packaging. The foundation might be a bit light. I’ll have to test. The MBM actually was a tiny bit broken up/messy, but not in a way that I would care about or complain. Excellent MDS experience!!
Pic 5 - ok it’s the moment of truth. It looks like I did get the palette as the replacement!!! Yay!!! This was very important to me and I want to say I was wrong because I really felt like I was going to get a shit replacement and I was wrong. I think Ipsy is already making me happier just to know they are trying to make it right.

So I want to say something about my experience. I think it’s very easy to complain when things aren’t perfect, esp when it seems like everyone else is getting a perfect goodie and your goodie is missing. Or broken. 😞 And you were excitedly looking forward to it. You expected a totally different feeling when you opened your package. I compare this to like taking ecstasy and having a bad trip. Having a bad trip is bad enough…but expecting ecstasy and then having a bad trip…is worse…(I’ve never done drugs. But I’ve been to burning man many times and I’ve seen this happen! 😆) So it’s very understandable that those of us who didn’t get our goodie, were upset.

BUT! I have to say I believe Ipsy killed it, here. I’m 52 and have worked for HP, J&J, Apple. My husband and I now have a video production where we do work for big companies here in the valley. And how a company treats its customers matters so much. More than anything because it’s easy to lose a customer and harder to replace them. So a good company will prioritize that. And I think Ipsy did. What they did right:

- they’re on the Ipsy subreddit and I’ve seen them immediately reply to people who have expressed issues
- everyone has mentioned having a good experience with the glam bot when reporting their issue
- our accommodation orders were sent out quickly
- they were smart enough to hold some of the product back to ensure that we didn’t get like an Il Makiage palette as a replacement (not saying it’s bad but ND is the ecstasy we were expecting…). This was the #1 “right” thing they did, and the easiest part to screw up. Because look how many people thought they would just get “bad leftover inventory”). That didn’t happen! Holding back a % of that product from choice and the MDS, meant they could meet this need. And that’s smart customer service.

And even if some people don’t have a good experience with their accommodation, my guess is that number will be very small and not everything can be controlled.

But what they could control…they get an A+ on. And while I have way too many products and my bathroom looks like a Sephora (pics 8, 9) I’m gonna keep buying things I want and don’t need from Ipsy. Because dammit, I want my goodies!!! And they made me happy. 😊
