Kilkee over Moher?

During our 1-week elopement trip next week, my fiance (who has never been to Ireland) is dead set on Cliffs of Moher. I've been a decade ago, and while it is spectacular, I don't want to be overwhelmed with swaths of buses and crowds during peak season. I've read great things about Kilkee. Is that a good alternative? Or should we just stick with Moher and go early morning or late evening? Also heard that there's a trail from Doolin that helps avoid crowds.

Note: our already-booked rental is 10min away from Moher.

Are you supporting a loved one through illness, disability, or ageing?

Hi everyone,

I'm an MA in Interaction Design student at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Ireland, currently conducting a research project exploring the experiences of people who transitioned into the role of caring for a family member, partner, child, or loved one.

You may not think of yourself as a "family carer," and that's completely okay. If you regularly support someone close to you because of illness, disability, mental health challenges, dementia, addiction, or age-related needs, your experiences are incredibly important, and I would really value hearing from you.

I'm carrying out a short anonymous survey to better understand:

  • How people experienced the early stages of caring for a loved one
  • What information and support they found helpful (or wish they had received)
  • How they navigated healthcare and support services
  • Whether support from someone with lived experience would have been valuable

The survey takes approximately 10 minutes, and all responses are anonymous and will be used for academic research purposes only.

If you have experience supporting or caring for a loved one, I would be incredibly grateful if you could share your experience through the survey below:

Thank you so much for your time and for sharing your experiences. Your insights are genuinely valuable and will help inform the development of this design research project.
