[Joe Crann] The potential value of Pierce Charles Manchester City move as Sheffield Wednesday reluctantly agree deal

Man City will pay a guaranteed £3M for Pierce Charles, with Sheffield Wednesday confident of a minimum return of £5M due to add-ons. The full value could rise beyond £10M considering other clauses. A transfer is expected to go through in the coming week or so.

It is likely the 20-year-old will be loaned out by ManCity next season should a deal be finalised, with a Championship move being prioritised.

Title: Looking for club / supporter stickers for my sticker door and gym project

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a sticker project in my home gym. It started as a sticker door, but it has now expanded to the front of the door and onto the exposed beams as well — so I have plenty of space to fill.

I’m looking for stickers from football clubs, GAA clubs, rugby clubs, basketball teams, hockey clubs, ultras, supporter groups, podcasts, fan media, local clubs, lower-league teams, sports museums, or any sporting community with a bit of identity behind it.

I’m based in Ireland and would love to add stickers from clubs and fans from around the world. Big clubs, tiny village teams, fallen giants, phoenix clubs, ultras, fan groups, podcasts, non-league chaos — all welcome.

I’m happy to send my address privately, and I can also send something Irish/GAA-related back if anyone is interested in a swap.

Thanks a million — the more obscure, the better!

FAI warns Israel boycott would cause "significant and lasting harm" to Irish football

The FAI has told its members that refusing to play the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Israel could have serious sporting and financial consequences. The governing body estimates a potential loss of €10.3 million, along with possible UEFA sanctions, points forfeiture and long-term damage to Irish football. An Extraordinary General Meeting to discuss the issue is scheduled for 8 July.

Defending Our Future

Hi everyone!

My name is Grace, and I’m currently completing a Master of Research (MRes) in Environmental Dynamics. My thesis explores the role that football could play in communicating climate change information to the public.

The aim of this research is to understand what actually resonates with football fans and how you would feel about receiving climate-related information through football.

Whether you think football could be a great way to engage people with climate change, or you think it's a terrible idea and football should have nothing to do with it, I genuinely want to hear your opinion. There are no right or wrong answers, every perspective is extremely valuable as the point is to find out what you, the fans, want.

The questionnaire takes around 5 minutes to complete, and your participation would mean a great deal to me.

You can complete the survey here:

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch. And if you know anyone who might have an opinion on this topic, I'd really appreciate it if you could share this post with them. I'm hoping to hear from as many football fans as possible!

Thank you so much for your time and support!

Has the Irish League reached a point where players want to come home rather than leave?

Conor McMenamin says one of the main reasons for returning to Coleraine was the continued improvement in the standard and professionalism of the Irish League. After several successful years with St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership, he believes the league back home is becoming more competitive and attractive for players. Do you agree with his assessment, and where do you think the Irish League stands compared to a few years ago?
