New tires!

Got some Atturo Trail Blade M/T 285 75r16s. So far I love them. Went through loose sand I’ve been stuck in before with the old tires I had with no issues whatsoever.

Coolant sensor vacuum valve ?

Hello all, I recently pulled my 4ZE1 out of my 1988 Trooper II (manual transmission) and I sheared this off while hoisting the engine out. I can’t find any sort of diagram or schematic to tell me what it is. I’d venture to guess it’s some sort of vacuum driven coolant temp sensor but I’m not familiar enough with these engines to know. If anyone knows I’d greatly appreciate what the nomenclature is. In the picture is the device with the spring in it which sheared off and was connected to the thermostat housing and the intake manifold via vacuum line.

Out with the Old & In with The New

Oscar got new bucket seats (FIA approved), harnesses (will be adding a harness bar soon as the current setup isn’t 100% safe), new shocks, springs and torsion bars.

92 Trooper Estimates

Curious what you guys think my 1992 Isuzu Trooper LS is worth.

3.2 DOHC V6, automatic, 128k miles, 4x4 works, clean title.

The big thing is it’s VERY clean and rust-free underneath/frame which is hard to find in the Midwest. Interior and exterior are both cosmetically nice for the age. Heat works, starts right up, runs/drives/stops. It definitely could be detailed on the interior and I will get to that when I get a second.

Known issues:

Rough idle
Driver window doesn’t work
Speedometer works intermittently
Because of the speedometer issue, sometimes the trans needs to be manually shifted to get moving correctly

I bought it as a project but don’t have time for it anymore.

What would you realistically list/sell this for in today’s market?

1996 5-speed: Needs new transmission. Deciding what to do.

So, I got a hole knocked in my transfer case, which dumped the fluid and killed the gears. The best that my transmission guy has been able to do is to find a donor vehicle that has a good transmission, but is otherwise a write-off.

The total bill would be $3,500 for parts and labor (plus redoing the clutch while they're in there anyways).

Trying to decide whether it's worth it or not. The truck's in good shape overall with 120k on the odometer. Little rust. Good interior. There're some electrical issues and a permanent Check Engine light from a bad sensor.

What do people think? Is it worth pouring in the money or is it time to sell it off to someone who has the time and facilities to do this themself?

Bell housing to engine drop issues.

92 LS 5 MUA5 and 6VD1-W

Alright yall. Trying to remove the bell housing from the engine and we got a few issues.

#1) No problems
#2) Unsure if bolt belongs.
#3) Looks like a broken bolt shaft remains. Can see the old, circular imprint of the bolt head.
#4) No bolt belongs.
#5) Unsure if bolt belongs.
#6) Is seized/cant turn. Heated with torch. Breaker bar twists the extensions, but cant turn enough to break it free. No rust od corrosion visible. I'm concerned about breaking the bolt head off of the shaft, potentially leaving two or more broken shafts in the engine block.
#7) Bolt exists. Haven't tried to loosen yet.
#8) Bolt exists. Haven't tried to loosen yet.
#9) Unsure if bolt should exist. There is significant engine block material behind it, indicating that a bolt could exist, but should it?
#10) Bolt exists. No problems.

  1. You can see some uncertainty here on how many bolts there should be.

  2. seized number 6 is really seized. Tried heat and pneumatic (with a small compressor, don’t want to snap it, also used jack to relieve downward force)

New clutch and flywheel and bearings etc to go in once I get this thing dropped.

What insight might yall have? Currently stuck here.

Appreciate ya.

1999 unable to enter key fob programming... Missing theft/locking module?

Basically the title. Had my 1999 for a bit over 3 years and finally decided to get around getting some new fobs since I didn't have any. Got the correct HYQ1512R and tried every manner of instructions to enter programming. No luck

Now that I think of it, I've never seen the anti-theft light ever come on for any duration, blinks, etc. Makes me wonder if there is even a module installed. Where would it be on a '99? Checked under driver side dash and behind glove box, no dice.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

There's an Isuzu for sale, but I'm uncertain about the price, mileage, and year at this moment. However, I want to know (besides the price for parts and how difficult it can be to find them in the US) if there are any real issues I should be concerned about when it comes to repairs and maintenance. I'm trying to find a good reliable car. I've seen gas mileage can be a little rough, but I'm willing to make that if it's a good, reliable, sturdy car.
