Doing some maintenance and I have lost track of where this vacuum line goes. This is on a 2002 Trooper.

This thermal vacuum check valve shuts off vacuum to my fuel pressure regulator and other vacuum lines when my engine is warm. ( There’s vacuum when the engine is cool) When I look up thermal check valve, all I get is the bigger one that’s by the valve cover.

Anyone familiar with these symptoms? Is this normal behavior? Is this a common failure in the unit or is it receiving a signal it shouldn’t? Any help is appreciated.

The love of my life blew a head gasket a couple years ago. She’s been sitting… waiting. I’m now coming into some money and want to get her going again, but don’t have the space to do the work myself.

I’d love to find someone who could do full rebuild or swap in a reman engine for me. As close to the willamette Valley area in Oregon as possible. Any suggestions?

Any advice you’d give a new owner? We have 2 88 Toyota trucks we have torn down and put back together so we have decent mechanical knowledge.

It sat for two years and has some parts pulled out of it and we are planning an intense week of backyard mechanics to revive. Previous owner said that it ran fine before he took it apart, didn’t even overheat just wanted to change fluids then saw (I quote) a “tiny” amount of oil in the coolant than checked oil and no coolant in oil. Have plans for water pump replacement and hoses. Should I assume head gasket is blown and plan for that job? Or could I get away with more minor repairs? We managed to secure the deal for $600, so I’m prepared to invest in revival.

Bumps are so stiff in this thing especially in the front end. Torsion bars are cranked for a 2.5"ish lift on 33x12.50r15. It rides so bad. Front sway bar removed too.

New lower control arm bushings too! Anyone have good luck with a different shock and HD torsion bars? it does have 329,000miles so maybe it's time to replace them. Thanks all

The aftermath of Gold Mountain. Basically the axle broke at the outer stub. However, for some reason, the circlip for the inner is gone.And it ground the inside of the soup can and a pretty weird way where I couldn't get it out, so I just cut it

It being the driver side axle, now I have to get an entire new assembly. But all in all, it was worth it made it all the way out under its own power.Without any pulling or pushing.

It was well worth it.

Does anyone have a diagram or know which pins go to what on the ecu? I’ve been having starting and idling issues and I’m pretty certain it’s a sensor/ electrical issue at this point. I’ve replaced almost every sensor under the hood with no avail. I’ve also tried 3 different ecus so I know that’s not the issue. I want to test the wiring and was hoping I could just test it all from the ecu harness.

While driving around 4000 rpm fan belt fall, most of it stayed intact and some of it wrapped around the fan and fan pully. the balt is brand new (lass then a month and 1000 km) all the pullys and tensioner spin freely and feel solid with no play.

anyone has an idea why could it happen?
