JMGO N3 Ultimate User Guide

Does anyone know where I could find a user guide or manual for the JMGO N3 Ultimate?

I would like to try to decipher some of the more obscure settings in the display and projector menus.

For example what does "Shift-Auto Screen Fitting" do?

What is the "High Refresh Rate" toggle do?

Also since there is no dedicate "input" button on the remote, is there any way to quick select the HDMI input?

N1s pro 4k keeps suddenly dimming the entire screen...

I'm not sure if this is some software thing. But this happens mostly if the movie or video is mostly dark. I even went through the entire system and all the settings to try and figure out what is causing it to annoyingly darken in an ALREADY DARK scene making it even harder to see, but I couldn't find anything that would stop it from happening. Seems very counterintuitive and illogical to add such a feature. I even turned all the settings off and it still happened.

Could it be because of Android 14? Or a recent update? I just really wish this didn't happen because I really like this projector, super sharp, colorful. Just pisses me off that I can't for the life of me find or figure out why it's dimming like that. (And I do NOT have adaptive brightness on at all, and I have brightness set to 10. Adaptive luma control is off, local contrast control is off, gamma is middle. DNR is off, MPEG NR is off. And so is HDR and memc.)

If anyone is experiencing the same thing, or knows anything about why this is happening, I'd love to know why or when it started.

N3 Ultimate owners which picture mode do you use?

Just got the N3 Ultimate recently and I’m still figuring things out, but so far I’m really happy with it. One thing I haven’t really figured out yet is the picture modes. I’ve mostly just left it on Movie Mode when watching movies, and it looks good to me. But I noticed there are a lot of manual picture adjustments too, so I’m curious what settings ppl usually use for movies. Also wondering if the difference between modes is actually noticeable 🤔

Still new to this thing, so I’m just trying to get the most out of it. Thanks!

Here it is again... the MatchDay Vibe Challenge

JMGO is doing the Matchday vibe thing again, and looks like the grand prize is still an N3 Ultimate. My friend already has one and sent it to me immediately 😂 idk, I just submitted mine.

JMGO N3 Ultra. No 24Hz movie playback from Google TV Apps

Just taken delivery of an N3 Ultra and am delighted with the picture quality.

My only complaint so far is that it seems to be impossible to get native 24Hz movie playback from any of the internal apps. Hooking a media player or Bluray player to the HDMI ports works fine in 24Hz, but so far I've been able to get proper movie playback within Google TV.

I've tried Amazon Prime Video, Plex and Kodi, but everything plays back at 60Hz with a horrible soap opera effect as the refresh rate is upscaled to 60Hz.

I can't see anything within the settings to set the output resolution or framerate. Am I missing something obvious?

Has anyone managed to set Google TV to do true 24Hz playback?

New Google TV update broke eARC audio sync with Sonos surround setup. Anyone else?

I have a JMGO projector running Google TV, connected via HDMI eARC to a Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub and two Era 300 rears. Everything was working perfectly until a recent Google TV update. Since the update, my video/audio sync is off (~1-2 secs) whenever I use passthrough/bypass audio so I can get surround sound. The audio plays noticeably late. If I change the audio output to Auto, the sync issue goes away, but then Sonos only receives stereo and I lose surround sound.

I’ve already tried power cycling everything, unplugging the projector and Sonos, reconnecting HDMI, trying a different HDMI cable, changing the audio delay settings, switching audio modes, and rechecking eARC settings. The delay slider does not fully fix it. The issue only seems to happen with passthrough/bypass audio over eARC.

I saw some other comments suggesting the newest update may have introduced an eARC handshake or passthrough issue. Has anyone else with a JMGO projector had this happen after the update? Any recommended fixes, workarounds, or settings that let you keep surround sound without the audio delay?

Setup details:

  • Projector: JMGO N1S with Google TV
  • Audio: Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub, two Era 300 surrounds
  • Connection: HDMI eARC
  • Problem mode: Passthrough/Bypass audio
  • Working but limited mode: Auto audio, but only stereo
  • Troubleshooting tried: power cycle, HDMI swap, audio delay adjustment, audio settings changes

Update:

I submitted a google issue tracker post: https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/528501128
(Can star it to hopefully get it moving faster)

I have also submitted the issue via settings -> help and feedback -> send feedback

Also sent an email to after-sales@jmgo.com and awaiting a response.

Finally ordered the N3 Ultimate. What else should I get

Finally pulled the trigger on the N3 Ultimate during Prime Day and now I’m just waiting for it!

I backed the N1 Ultra back in 2023 and have been using it ever since, so I guess it can finally retire now. It’s been solid, so I felt pretty comfortable sticking with JMGO. I’d been thinking about upgrading for a while and the prime day price finally got me. Trying to get the setup ready from now. Other than a screen, is there anything you’d recommend buying ahead of time? HDMI cable, mount or stand, blackout curtains, Apple TV, 4K player, speakers, anything like that? Mostly just trying to avoid having it arrive and realizing I forgot the one thing I actually need

JMGO N3 Ultimate vs JmGO N5 Ultra Max

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I'd just pulled the trigger on an N3 Ultimate on an Amazon Prime Day deal, when I noticed that Amazon was also selling the N5 Ultra Max for around the same price.

The N5 seems to have better specs, but its a Chinese model (possibly with Chinese menus)

Has anyone compared the two, and does the N5 have noticeably better picture quality? I could return the N3 when it arrives and buy the N5.

Any opinions?

Jmgo 1ns 4k problem in dark scenes

When viewing dark scenes, the brightness goes down. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone know why it does that?

JMGO N3 Ultimate: Light border/overspill outside image area — normal for DLP projectors?

I recently got the N3 Ultimate and noticed a faint light border extending beyond the projected image area.

It's visible even when the projector is perfectly centered on the wall with keystone correction and lens shift completely disabled. When I use lens shift, the light border becomes noticeably wider.

Is this expected behavior with DLP projectors, or is there something specific about the N3 Ultimate causing it? Curious whether other N3 owners are seeing the same thing.

This started as a World Cup purchase

Bought the N1S 4K last month for the world cup and I’m still really happy with it. Before this I was firmly a TV person and honestly thought projectors were kind of a gimmick, but now I end up using it almost every day. Even during the day it’s been fine as long as I close the curtains.

But I somehow completely forgot prime ay was coming. I paid $749 for mine and now it’s $699 😂

Any experience buying directly from JMGO in Europe?

I'm looking to buy a JMGO N3 Ultimate but wonder if it's wise to buy through the manufacturer's website in Europe. I'm unsure about the after sales treament and the warranty? I'll feel more confortable buying it from Amazon but in my country the N3 is not available on that platform.

Any experience or feedback from previous buyers?

Many thanks.

White wall or screen for the N3 Ultimate?

Submitted these pics of my N1S 4K match setup for the MatchDay Vibe Challenge and somehow got picked for the N3 Ultimate prize. Still kind of can’t believe it haha

I’ve been projecting the N1S 4K straight onto a white wall for match nights and it’s worked fine, so I’ll probably do the same with the N3 Ultimate at first. Mostly football in the living room, lights dimmed. Curious if a proper screen is actually worth it for sports, or if this white wall is good enough for now. Might grab one during prime day if it makes a big difference.
