Anyone looking for an S1 Tourer V OEM lip kit?

Took off my OEM kit recently and it’s been sitting there ever since. Would anyone want to buy it? It comes with the front bumper + fogs, and the rear bumper as well. A whole package. However, the rear valance is FRP so i suspect it’s the only part that’s not OEM.

Trans fluid

Hey! I got a 97 chaser with the a42de auto ive been wanting to change the transmission fluid for a while since it isn’t the greatest color but, can’t really find any dexron 3. Ive heard valvoline maxlife works but rather go oem if possible and when I spoke with a Toyota employee they recommended T-IV. Does anyone have any experience or know the direct subsitute that would work?

1jzgte Blown headgasket?

It was hot out today and took my chaser out for a little spin, nothing crazy, no 8k pulls. I came home, parked the car but kept it idling as I went inside to open my garage. When I came out I found the coolant overflow tank was blowing past the cap and got coolant everywhere. Is this color coolant milky enough to say I got oil in the coolant? I checked my dip stick and oil fill cap and they were clean and not milky or frothy.

1JZ-GE aftermarket support

I have a JZX100 chaser avante 2.5, before everyone comments on how I should’ve bought a Tourer V and everything, sadly I didn’t have the budget for it and only plan to cruise/daily it. I couldn’t really find any aftermarket mods. I was just wondering if there was any intake or exhaust setup y’all would recommend. I don’t want to make power with it just want to hear it more. I was thinking that a IS300 intake would probably fit just not sure! Thanks in advance

1JZ Crank bolt - Toyota crank tool

I'm currently planning to replace the timing belt on my 1JZ. Unfortunately, I don't have a powerfull impact gun.

After doing some research, I came across the Toyota Crank Tool to lock the crankshaft in place and loosen the crank bolt. Has anyone ever
used this tool before? I’m a little worried that the two bolts that go into the pulley might strip. Or am I worrying for nothing because they don’t actually take that much force?

1jzge swap because 1GFE left chat 🫡

so finally the 1GFE went out on my 97 chaser avante , so I’ve decided the quickest option I have right now is to swap to a 1jzge 2.5 (yes the one that looks like the 2jzge) and swap all components from out the engine bay as well as take the transmission the ecu the engine harness driveshaft etc .

My Question is would I need to also take the dash , chassis harness as well since my cars GX100 and this is coming from out of another chaser the engines originally from would I need to grab any other harnesses as well or would the chassis harness currently in my car would fit. I’m wondering if I can avoid having to take EVERYTHING out in the interior or if the option for that is a standalone if I don’t want to gut the inside?. any suggestions or thoughts would be highly appreciated tbh

Novice system upgrade in a JZX

Hello team, I’ve never really done audio upgrades so I’ve no idea what I’m doing and would love some advice on my plans before I go buying things and taking my car apart if possible.

as standard the cars got 2 tweeters and 4 door speakers (no sub at all), I intend to upgrade the door speakers and add a sub.

Ive already got the sub (6” 2x2 ohms 300w max) which I plan to wire parallel into a 320w 2 channel amp. Ive got a new Kenwood headunit on the way.

Will this set up work? Am I doing anything wildly wrong? Is there any improvements I could make? (Subs going on parcel shelf, magnet in the trunk, cone facing the cabin)

What's the going rate for jzx90 tourer v's these days?

First picture is it in current-ish condition going to detail it this weekend for the nice nice photoshoot, looking for a price range to list it for before tossing on fb marketplace.
Looking to move and can't take her with me(enough to make one cry), she has 90k miles, no issues, sadly an automatic tho. tien flex coil-overs, rays evolution iv 17" wheels, pristine interior even my vents are unbroken, front mount inter cooler with poorly modified front bumper, koyo rad, and roll center adjusters.

oil changes every 3.5k miles or 5k miles(depending on how long it took motul to ship my 10w40) from the original 36k miles i got it with. and oil catch can from radium(useless purchase actually)

Outside the bumper the car has been so loved, used to drive it every day until uh current gas crisis, making an hour drive on 93 every day was nearly wallet murder.

second pic was right after intercooler install on a track day, she looked so mean with just the intercooler out it was a nice photoshoot day.

i traded my s13 for a mark ii grande

traded my 140k 93 manual 240sx for this car. 80k on it, super nice interior, auto 1gfe. loving it so far. 240sx had a gutted interior, no ac, cracked dash, millions and millions of interior issues. no carpet or headliner. even speedometer wasnt working. it was super clean mechanically and visually though, vskfs, kbd kit, fresh paint, etc. still i dont really regret it.

did i make a mistake?

Factory Tourer V Manual. I’ve had her for almost 4 years now with lots of maintenance and modifications along the way. Brought her to the States in the fall. Currently pending Full BN Kit Type II kit with front and rear fenders when it gets here next month.

Would people move to a new sub?

TLDR a few weeks back in one of countless karma farming bot account threads I pointed out that the mod hasn't been active for at least 4 years. No posts, replies nothing the account looks dead. A user pointed out that it's possible to get mod rights via a mod/admin sub reddit if you make a request.

So after going through the process of setting up 2FA and DMing the existing mod if he'd like help and getting ghosted, waiting 5 days just to give them time to reply as per reddits rules and then waiting about a week for my request to be processed.... I got rejected, not because of my accounts standing the bot or mod team seems to think the current mod is active.

Maybe he is and he's just the strong silent type IDK.

But going back to that old post I put forward the idea of just making a new sub. Not that different than here but one that actually had a base level of bot protection and allowed image replies and maybe some useful FAQ's. I put forward the idea of XChassis as the name as this sub is like 50% GX100 and we've got a small number of 90 and 110 owners here too so might as well just roll with it and make one sub for the whole community.

So I'm asking would people actually use it? I don't want to set up a subreddit if it turns out only 10 or so people actually want those features and are bothered by the bot content that much.
