Help me find this Artist! Pottery mark is “JOHN, 1996”

Hi everyone! I am trying to identify the specific potter behind this lovely matching set.

Details: It features wheel-thrown stoneware with a dipped cobalt/periwinkle blue rim and hand-painted violet/wildflower details.

The Mark: The bottom has an incised hand-written signature that reads "John 1996" on a raw clay foot.

Provenance: The mug was originally purchased in Fernandina Beach, Florida at the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival back in the 90s. He said he also sold pottery at a shop/gallery across the street from a toy store in downtown fernandina, down the street from Brett’s restaurant.

I also recently tracked down a matching 6" pitcher with the exact same design and signature. I'm hoping to find his full name or studio name so I can search for more matching mugs to fill out a set. Does anyone recognize this signature style or remember this specific vendor from the 90s Southeast festival circuit? My mom bought the mug in the 90s and it has been a beloved piece in my family for decades. I would love to buy my mom another one or find more pieces. Thank you!

Places hiring near Pritchard rd for inexperienced teens

Hi! I just graduated high-school in May and I am looking for a part-time job. I am currently in the process of moving from the Westside to the Northside and would be able to start until sometime in August or later. I am looking to start online culinary school and I have a disabled mom, so I would like to work from home or at least close to it. I was definitely looking for a job at publix, but the nearest Publix is 20+ mins away from where we're moving to. I am also willing to do some assistant work for a local business owner (hairstylist, caterer, etc.) as well. I'm looking to make at least $250 a month, which may be a bit much given that I don't have any experience, but I'm just trying to help support my family and make ends meet.🙂 Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!! ❤️

Jacksonville’s last Quiznos could use some local support ❤️

I don’t usually post stuff like this, but I figured I’d give it a shot.
My dad, my brother, and I run the last Quiznos in Jacksonville, and we’ve been working hard to keep it going. We’re located at 224 N. Hogan St. in Downtown Jacksonville.
I genuinely think our food is great and we treat every customer like family. The hardest part isn’t the food, it’s that our location doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic, parking downtown can be a hassle, and we just don’t have the marketing budget that bigger chains have.
A lot of people don’t even know we’re still here.
If you’ve been craving a toasted sub or just want to support a local family business, we’d really appreciate you stopping by. Even telling a friend or coworker about us means a lot.
We’re open:
Monday–Thursday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Friday: 9 AM - 5 PM
Saturday: 11 AM – 2 PM
Thanks for reading, Jacksonville. We hope to see some new faces soon!

Trying to find the previous owner of "Bluecy" — bought this NA Miata from an auction and found a heartbreaking note in the glovebox 💔

Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I recently bought a blue NA Miata from a salvage/insurance auction. While checking out the car and cleaning it, we opened the glovebox and found this note written on a First Watch receipt.
It honestly broke my heart. The previous owner clearly loved this car so much, calling her "Blucy" and their "baby girl." According to the note, they had only fixed her up and owned her for less than 4 months before whatever happened, happened. It also mentions Watanabe wheels, an inaccurate odometer, and a 110k mile motor.
"Blucy" has very distinct look — the Mariner Blue paint, the custom black and white stripes on the driver-side front fender, and the Watanabe-style wheels.
We really want to find the previous owner just to let them know that their baby girl is in safe hands, we are going to fix her up, bring her back to life, and give her all the love she deserves.
Does anyone recognize this Miata, or maybe you know someone from the Miata community who owned a car named Bluecy? Based on the auction and the cafe receipt, she likely came from the US (Midwest or South).
Any help, upvotes, or shares to local Miata groups would be deeply appreciated. Let’s find Blucy's human!

Jacksonville, FL

I already have permanent implant in chairs, but want to replace the ones I have with zirconia. Is there anywhere in Jacksonville that will do this for me that is affordable and also give me a good price on maintenance and not remove them once a year or so and charge me thousands to do so and to replace the screws every time? I also want to avoid a dental office that does Botox.

New to bartending in JAX Fl

I’m a 23 year old female (ex personal trainer), moving to Jacksonville soon and I’m hoping to get into bartending as a weekend side job. I don’t have any hospitality or bartending experience yet, but I’m eager to learn.
Does anyone have recommendations for local bars that are willing to train beginners? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The Ghost Town of Hedges, Florida will soon be developed for new housing. Here's what I discovered about this forgotten community:

The Ghost Town of Hedges, Florida. Today only a handful of homes and trailers remain. But in the 1890s, many thought this was going to be Nassau County's biggest city. Today, bulldozers approach from the south, and soon nothing will be left of old Hedges. I hope you enjoy learning a bit about this place.

Touring Jacksonville, Fl

I am looking to move to Riverside, Jax FL in early November this year for personal reasons. I will be visiting for about a week in September to explore the city and look at places that offer short-term leases (2-3 months) so I can get situated to the city and tour appts I plan on living long-term.

What areas do you recommend I explore to get a feel of the city? Also, looking to make a checklist on things I should do to prepare/make my move in November easier while visiting. Any advice helps!

Bachata Dance Partner🇩🇴🌴

I (34f)missss Dancing. I rarely go out because idk the spots here. I’m looking for another girl to become my bachata dance partner. One who can lead and follow, without needing lessons or a tutorial.

I just want a bestie who I can meet at the spot, sweat our asses off without the 1,2,3 count.

My hubs is American And knows not tooo much about it. But he’s trying and it’s adorable. But he doesn’t ever EVER wanna go dancing.

I figure if 2 Latinas wanna dance we won’t have to wait for the dudes. But the Spanish scene in Jax is really hit or miss.
