Delusional media comments about potential Jaguars acquisitions

Once every few weeks I hear the 1010XL folks or some moron writing for Black and Teal suggest that the Jags are exploring some splashy move. Over the last week or so it's been AJ Brown. Before that it was Crosby and Hendrickson.

I was actually giggling when I heard the chatter today about Brown from the carnies posing as sports radio hosts. Ticket sales season has officially arrived. Welcome to the smoke show folks! 🤡 🎶🎉

They should know better. We let our best D player walk over $14mm. This is a cash conservation year - there's no way on God's green earth that this team pays a legit top FA talent. Maybe the radio types got their K's confused and thought they were talking about a team owned by the Krafts. 😉 Because make no mistake, if Brown gets traded anywhere, the odds on favorites to land him are the Patriots.

I'll even leave off with this. I'm so confident that the Jags have zero intention of trading for Brown that, if I'm wrong and they actually acquire him, I will not post a negative comment about Trevor Lawrence for the entire 2026 season.

Irish Fan > first ever Jags game > need info

Irish Fan > first ever Jags game > need info

What up Duuval! I’m a big time Jags fan, from ireland, I’m going to my first ever games this season, preseason W3, two in London and I’m hoping MNF. I don’t know much about the ‘pregame’ culture other than you guys don’t have bars beforehand it’s meeting up outside the stadium, is that open to all? Just bring a slab of beer, chat to other fans? Need yall locals to explain it to me like a rookie, that’s what I am. Can’t wait to experience EverBank but wanna make sure I have all the info I need beforehand! Cheers

Have you peeped the prices for Jags home games?

I figured they’d be more expensive since they removed the nosebleeds. But I was pretty shocked at how pricey they are! Even the preseason games. Damn!

Waiting on Season Ticket Decisions

I admit that I've been waiting on my season ticket decision until I know which 6 games we're getting, which we'll know on Thursday. If I'm going to spend over $4k for two seats for 6 games I want to know what I'm buying.

What we know so far is that we aren't getting the home game against the Texans here in Jacksonville, which really sucks ass. They're playing in London on 10/18.

There is another Jags home game in London on 10/11. If we lose the Patriots game too I'm going to be pissed, maybe enough that I have to rethink this season. What a slap in the face to local fans that would be.

EDIT: So now we know that the 10/11 game is the Eagles. Better than the Pats, but it still sucks to lose a second good matchup.

What are they thinking with Travis Hunter?

It's gotta be a real pickle for the Jaguars coaching staff. He's the ultimate tweener. Too small to be very effective as a running down corner or a blitz threat. He looks like a stray breeze could carry him away. But also not a WR1 either. More of a slot receiver with some upside.

So maybe I understand why they want to use him both ways. But if they do it again the way they did in 2025 they'll get him killed. The dude is STILL rehabbing from a major injury he got the last time they used him like that.

Question though is how much can they really use him on the O? If they really go TE heavy there won't be many receiver slots on that field.

Maybe Jarrian Jones can teach Travis some of his special tackling techniques. Looking like you're trying without really doing too much. After all a guy could get hurt if he actually wrapped up one of them big brutes. Olay! 😆

What a mess.

Going with this D as currently constituted simply cannot be the final plan. Or is it?

I mean it was bad enough when we traded our best man cover corner to the Browns after the Chiefs game purely as a salary dump. I sorta got it at the time - he didn't seem to be playing up to his paycheck. The Jags only overpay dramatically underperforming DEs, LTs and QBs. They draw the line at overpaying a CB.

But when we lost Lloyd that was a real blow. More than many realize. Lloyd was such a beast that Camp could leave him on an island against good receivers and go heavy on a 2 high safety scheme. This covered up a lot of weaknesses in our backfield. It also gave the pass rushers more time to get to the QB, which that bunch badly needed given how bad they are as pass rushing unit.

If we don't do something before the season begins, our D could be in trouble. We need either a legit pass coverage LB or a truly disruptive pass rusher. Our current LBs lack the size, speed and athleticism to do what Lloyd did.

Sadly ESPN seems to think it's the final plan, which is why they just dropped us 6 spots in their 2026 power rankings. The Vegas odds guys do too based upon how bad the money line has become for the under bet on season wins.

I just can't imagine that this is the final plan. I sincerely hope not. If so, I feel awful for Camponile, who they will no doubt blame for it.
