First pair of JMM’s

I just bought my first pair of JMM’s. Wanted to start with something to daily, so I went with the Molino Noir 11, nothing crazy but they still have a little kick with the tortoiseshell interior. The quality is like nothing I have seen before but I have to admit that these are my first step into luxury territory sunglasses.

P.S. Should I worry that the qr code on the back of my certificate shows me a pair of JMM Richard? From what I understand they had the qr code for only some pairs and even tho it seemed like a great ideea it was poorly executed.

JMM Dealan 53 & Hyannis

I started my JMM journey with the Hyannis (Bordeaux Empire) which I bought via the official website last month. I added the Dealan 53 (Hudson/Nimbus) yesterday in Sydney where I found a great optician with a huge JMM selection.

The acetate on the Dealan looks almost black in pictures, but in the sunlight you can see the deep blue colour of the Hudson.

I am considering replacing the lenses in the Dealan later on, but will first give it a try in the original configuration.

Ultimately, I would love to add a Dealan 53 in Bourbon. 🥃

Complimentary duo or not ? Zimmerman vs Dino

Looking to expand my collection and for a strong bold frame in the same style of my current daily BLack Hemmings , Enzo and Walker , I decided to pull the trigger today on both the Rx Zimmerman in Bloodstone and Rx Dino in Lacquer .
Must admit I was torn because they do look very similar . Should arrive by next Wednesday .
Anybody else out there who has both ?
Any suggestions for tinting my prescription lenses ?
I would like to add a light tint to them but clueless what tint would fit best for Lacquer ( Nightblueish Black ) and Bloodstone ( Bordoish Black ) .
And should I go gradient or full tint for daily use ?
All suggestions welcome 🙏

I love all the little details. I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone of wearing certain frames or lens colors because of JMM. The collection is growing, and the next frame I’m in search of is the Sandro Maverick.

Tightening distribution?

Hey all - I saw a Curated Optics post on Instagram in the last week or two indicating that JMM is tightening up distribution, reducing their agents/AD numbers, as they look to focus on their in-person gallery experience and otherwise reasserting the brand’s exclusivity - resisting brand dilution by having too many sellers, too much inventory, etc. Anyone know more about this? Just curious.

So I’m sure coming into the eye wear collecting hobby there are pieces you want to spend money on but not too much. What is the absolute most you would spend if your exact model and color way were available on the open market. And what is the most you already spent and what was the frame?

When the sunlight hits JMM Muhammad Ali Louisville in Zoltar

Exquisite pair, blew through all my expectations and i'm so happy with this purchase. The color, the silhouette, the fit, the packaging, just 10/10. Glad I pulled the trigger and added this piece to my collection, its a shape I don't have yet.
