Lavender burma jade set of the day

From Oriental Jewelry House for the bangle and beaded bracelet from ly crystal choice on TT. What you see is accurate to my eye.

The photos Oriental Jewelry sent me is on the next two screens and probably is less appealing than mine but my photos are more accurate to my eye. They show in nat light if they can. Reasonable price for quality and with certs for both. You can prob already see pricing in photo but bangle was 228 and beaded was 200. Different hosts on Oriental Jewelry account but I bought from Kendy and will stick with her.

My experience with both companies has been great so far. I really like how honest Kendy has been regarding lines and any rough spots and if not perfect. She has the cheaper sales for ones with more noticeable lines/texture. Mine was low to mid and she also has higher quality. You just need to let her know your budget. Ly works the same. Both have a range of quality options. More orders on the way from both.

Wanted to add spent under 500 per bangle so far so not seeking perfection with texture yet. Maybe in the future. Find the saijin and marks interesting like personality so I don't mind it.

Opinions please?

Hi there all,

I’m a long time lurker. Since looking at the photos on here I developed some kind of obsession with owning a purple jade bangle, but I know NOTHING about jade.

I’m so scared I’m going to get scammed!

I was in China getting some (non jade) items from a retailer I trust and have used before; she owns a jade bangle and recommended a nearby shop. They have a few purple bangles and at first I liked the cheapest one, but they kind of talked me into the more expensive ones.

The seller immediately knocked 50% off the asking price which made me a bit suspicious. For the one they said is nicest (marked with an arrow and is the left of 2 next to each other on the hand) it would come to about 900 USD, which I know is not a lot when compared to other jade bangles. But I’ve been scammed before buying jade so I’m wary. The bangles make a nice clear delicate clinking/ringing sound, not like the fake jade I bought before.

Any opinions on whether I should go for it now, or just wait until I have more knowledge about jade and can spot good pieces? It’s still a good chunk of money!

Looking for a reputable website selling jade

Hi, I don’t have the money currently but in the future I’d like to buy some jade jewelry or bangles. I came across Baikalla and they seemed good but I don’t know enough about this industry. I’ve heard jade can be super expensive the higher the quality, is the quality on the Baikalla site good? Is there another site that would be better and is trustworthy?

Jade Buddha

I purchased this when I was a college student in a jade factory outside Beijing, China in 2001. Can anybody tell me if it’s nephrite or jadeite… or something fake?

Is this normal?

I got this jade bangle from a rich auntie in Vietnam (she owns authenic LV jewelry and has a large jade bangle collection) as a present. It's oval, amd most bangles I've seen (my mum's, grandma's, people on social media's etc.) are circular. Is it normal and does it look authentic? There's a Maccas happy meal toy for sizing reference.

My starter bangle

Sorry I don't know how to take super flatting photos, but I just wanted to show it off. My favorite part are the brown freckles 💕

How'd I do?

Bought this for my wife after our wedding as her first jade piece from Chinatown. Seller claims it's grade A and I paid $300. Flashlight test and the sound checks out. My wife absolutely loves it and the color is stunning in person.

How'd I do?

Selling personal jadeite collection

Hi folks,

I’m so thrilled to be a part of this community of jadeite and nephrite lovers. I’ve been an amateur jade collector for years and I’m based in the US. Now, I’m hoping to sell my entire jade collection to fund my education. The size of my jades range from 52-57. All but five of them are type A jadeite jade; I have one nephrite jade piece, sized 57, with mutton fat certificate. The first four jade pieces to the left of the second row are neither jadeite nor nephrite. Three of them are 石英岩玉,the fourth is 水沫玉。 I acquired all of my jades from reputable sellers including Ultimate Jadeite, Matsalice, and Churkworkshop. Please PM me if you are interested in any of my jade pieces. Happy to take detailed photos for you. Free shipping within the US. If you are based in Boston, you are welcomed to meet me in person to look at my jades. My lowest priced jade is 100 bucks. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to connecting with you!

Got impulsive last night and purchased this jade bangle, completely forgot texture was a thing. Now I can’t ignore it how bad is it

I’m not going to tell the price because I want you to value them at a price.

I feel like it’s cute but now I can’t ignore the texture of it. It’s too obvious. Or does the texture makes it cute, because it differs from what everyone else is wearing.

I tried to learn how to know if a jade is valuable almost a year ago and forgot all about it, I had to relearn in one day and forgot about textures!

First Jade Bangle!

Hi everyone! My boyfriend purchased this jade bangle as a university graduation present for me a couple of months ago. He paid $215 for it. Is that a good price for the quality?

Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Where to buy pendants? (especially bi/button)

Hi! I'm new to jade, but I've been in lapidary for quite a while. I've always been fairly intimidated by the jade market, but I've started reading up on testing and stone quality and was lucky enough to find this community. What are some good online or Chinatown NYC places to buy a jadeite pendant or loose stone? I can't wear bangles due to my work, but I love the pendants.

From what I've seen, I prefer texture > size/color (the lightbulb effect of icy/glassy jade is so stunning). My budget is around $600-1000, but I could stretch for a particularly incredible piece. Thank you in advance!!

New Addition

Got this kitty cat pendant from Yokdee. I am hoping to make a necklace from it. (See photo 5 for the necklace/chocker)

Please let me know what you think.

I love cat related stone carving. Last picture is of my other cat rocks. The black one is made out of Onyx from Mexico and the green one is of green aventurine.

Is this worth $350?

Hi! I've been shopping around Facebook marketplace (I know, not the most trustworthy) and I found this gorgeous ring. I was wondering if the price tag seems fair or if I should try to haggle a lower price? I have just asked if they happen to have COA since it is not pictured. I wanted to celebrate my first paycheck at my new job with a gift to myself.

Edit: Not my pictures! They are some of the listing pictures. The marketplace post titled as "Natural Jade ring with 14k accents**"**

Rehoming certified bangles sz 57 ($110) & 58 ($120)

Just received these from a TikTok live sale so it was a gamble but the colors turned out too light for my liking! Both come with a certificate and have never been worn. Will ship in their original boxes!! Image shows what it looked like in the live, what their CS sent me, and then pic I took — note iphone does this auto HdR thing that makes things look darker than they actually are. Happy to send more pics if interested!

$100 Size 57 (doesn’t fit me) — very very light blueish lavender with tea green (they called it yellow) floating flower

$120 Size 58 - ICY very very light blue lavender (looks gray on rainy day) . Has a pretty visible line but not structural.

Can't sleep in my bangle

Found a lovely bangle finally, but when I went to sleep in it I was really uncomfortable. I sleep on my stomach with my hand under my chest.

Any suggestions to make it more comfortable during the night? I'm thinking about taking it off to sleep, but I'd really prefer not to have to do that since it's pretty snug and hurts to put on.
