New bangle 🍐
Purchased from bingbingjade 🥰 the process took about 4 weeks total from purchasing to having it in my hand but I was updated throughout the process and I knew it'd take some time. Couldn't be more happy with it and my purchasing experience ❤️❤️❤️ this is probably the most icy glutinous bangle I've ever owned and I'm still surprised by how much higher pitched the pings are when I tap my nails on it or my other jewelry bumps into it.
Jade necklace
I had this pendant as a child and recently upgraded the chain. I don’t have a lot of jade jewelry, but this is my nicest piece.
Fine structure becomes rarer as size increases
Small fine-structured jadeite already requires high-quality material.
Large pieces with:
- fine texture
- stable structure
- balanced proportions
- minimal flaws
become exponentially rarer.
This is why size and structure together affect value dramatically.
Bangle size
Hi! I am looking to purchase my first bangle as a starter to see if I want to collect them and I am looking at bangles but I am stuck on size. My wrist is tiny (6-6.5 inch wrist) and my circumference is 180mm whoch translates to a 54 (?) Or 55 mm bangle but I worry it may be too big? I want a bangle that is snug on my wrist and not super huge. What is the best recomendation for that?
My first bangle, how is it??
Hello this is my first post in this sub Reddit.
I've been lurking for a while and finally decided to show and ask about my first bangle I've bought, that arrived about a month ago.
I've been wearing it 24/7 since then and I really like it.
I believe it's grade A, bean texture, light lavender with moss green/yellow streaks and specks. Some surface cracks and hairlines as well as a lot of cotton.
I bought it from Etsy seller SiriThara located in Thailand, for 194 usd, free shipping and 19 usd for import tax and handling.
I've researched quite a bit and cross-referenced to my best abilities.
I plan on wearing it until it breaks, but I hope it won't for a long time, or never.
So I'm wondering what you all think about what grade it is, that texture it is, if the colour is nice and if the price was reasonable?? Or if I got scammed and it isn't even jadeite jade??
I'd love to hear your opinions and estimations.
Thank you all in advance.
Please help me decide!
Please help me decide! I’m torn between a green/yellow and a light lavender for an everyday bangle. I like the pop of cheery color from the lavender. But I also like the earthy tones of the green yellow. Not sure what else to consider. Thank you!
NOT all "Icy" jadeite is high value!
Many beginners associate “icy” appearance with premium quality.
But some jadeite appears very icy simply because:
- the structure is loose
- light passes through too easily
- the material lacks density
High-value icy jadeite usually combines:
- fine structure
- balanced glow
- stability under different lighting
Jadeite craftsmanship on display!
Showcasing this really carefully carved jadeite bracelet / necklace. Crafted with links that are interlocked with one another, this jadeite carving is a combination of expert craftsmanship with lustrous and translucent jadeite.
Is this genuine untreated A grade?
Hey guys, need a little bit of help here. Been looking at different jade bangles and came across this one. I’m unsure if its genuine A grade. I have spoken to the seller and she says quote: “Hi! Yes, the quality is very good. The certificate confirms that it is natural jade, and the color is completely natural with no dyeing or treatment. It is equivalent to Grade A by international standards 😊”
My handmade jade butterfly & ginkgo pendant
This piece features a carved jade butterfly paired with brushed gold ginkgo leaves and sparkling diamond accents, set within a black octagonal frame that mimics a miniature framed painting.
The design blends natural elements with classic East Asian aesthetics, focusing on delicate craftsmanship and tranquil artistic atmosphere.

My very first jade bangle!! 🥰
My husband gifted me a jade bangle & it makes me so happy as a Chinese-filipino 🥺🩷. I've always wanted to have this ever since I was a child since my late Amma (grandmother) also had this as well. She believed that it protects her from harm and negativity. I remember when her jade bangles broke twice out of nowhere without her hitting it somewhere. It suddenly cracked. I believe my bangle would also protect me from harm & negative people since I am surrounded by a lot lately. Funny thing is this jade bangle really caught my eye amongst all that was laid out infront of me awhile ago. It felt like it was calling me. I tried this bangle twice and I got it out effortlessly & without me hurting my fist, but after my husband bought it for me i can't even get it out anymore & it hurts when I do now. Maybe it's a sign that i shouldn't take it off?.

Cabochon Help
Does anyone have experience setting their own jade cabochon? I have one I want to do a prong setting. It is not a standard size it is slight oval 13.5X14.5mm. I am not sure it would be worth taking it to be done at the jeweler does anyone have any input?
My first jade bangle is here!
Certified type A and a beauty! Wasn’t looking for this color combo and surprised by how much I couldn’t get it out of my head. It’s more delicious in real life! Can’t wait to build a collection
My first bangle
Just received my first bangle from a lovely (almost) local lady, Liulab certified with some gorgeous minty and green details.
I've wanted a bangle for a while, and was close to purchasing one in Korea when I was travelling but this caught my eye while I was away and I fell in love with it on the pictures and videos she shared. I got sized in Korea and figured out I wanted something with more visual interest.
I also saw some beautiful ones from vendors on here but ultimately decided to take the plunge on this one, and found a friend through it as well!
Still figuring out how to best take pictures of it, and it's being worn on my other wrist most of the time to protect it from the tennis bracelet.
Specs: 54.5mm size, 14.7mm wide, with mostly glutinous and some icy texture, oval body bangle, type A Burmese jadeite
New Bangle :D advice on taking photos
Does anyone have tips for taking pictures of their bangles? My photos always look horrible in comparison to in person.
