Can Someone Clearly Explain Why They Are Pushing To Vote No?

Does voting no eventually open up the possibility for unchecked data centers getting installed in Janesville?

Fishing at Traxler park?

I drive across that bridge frequently and always see folks fishing that pond situation. Just curious is there no permit/fishing license(?) required to fish that pond? TIA

Does Janesville know its reputation among the rest of Wisconsin?

I’m genuinely curious if people living here realize how the rest of the state views the city. Are you aware that Janesville has a strong reputation throughout Wisconsin for being full of racists, rednecks, and hicks?

I lived here for three years, and after a recent visit back that reminded me of how awful it was, I'm wondering if locals actually recognize this stereotype or if they just ignore it.

For those who live here now or grew up here, do you feel this reputation is actively earned, or is it an outdated stereotype that the city is moving away from?

Specifically for people who moved here from elsewhere: Did you pick up on this vibe after you arrived? If you ended up moving away like I did, was this cultural environment part of the reason you left?

I was wondering if you guys know any e waste places that I could look for some because I went to a big e waste outfit and they said no and Best Buy said the same thing.

Crowley vs. Tiffany: What do the policy proposal sections of their campaign websites say about healthcare?

These candidates may have said more about healthcare on advertisements or in interviews, but this is straight from their policy proposal sections of their campaign websites.

Made using Canva. For Crowley's, he does have more than this on his website, I just could not fit it all onto this page.

I'm an affordable plumber who just moved to Janesville!

As the title reads, I just moved up here from rockford.

Pease Plumbing,

I am on Google and Nextdoor.

However Nextdoor just put up new guidelines basically making businesses pay for leads (the opportunity to message somebody who posts about needing work done)

So I am trying other avenues of marketing!

I am licensed in Illinois but not in Wisconsin yet. Illinois is notorious for its rigorous standards mostly due to Chicago and the Union Presence. In fact Chicago has its own code lol.

Anyway, my number is 779-269-7037.

Text a pic of your problem or a brief description of whatever you got going on and I can help!

I provide free estimates and never try to upsell anything you wont need.

I am a one man shop with no overhead. I try to survive off a few shower renovation jobs a month and service calls. I have a portfolio of pics of jobs I have done around town.

Water heaters, water filtration, sump pumps, dishwashers, softeners, water spigots, whole house repipes, etc...

I am offering incredible deals on labor rates to gain clients up here. honestly once you find a good plumber you just stick with them and its through word of mouth that I am able to not have to pay for marketing. (its expensive)

Thanks God Bless!

Confused about license/car registration after moving

My wife and I recently moved from Iowa to Janesville WI for a 6-month internship that she needs to complete to earn her degree. I was able to get a job here, and I am wondering if I need to change my ID/register my car/update my permanent address with the DMV even though we only plan to be here temporarily. Since she’s considered a student, we thought I would be covered by her status and not have to change my residency or ID/plates but I’m seeing some conflicting things online. Would really appreciate some advice, thanks!

Looking fo Queer/Alt Hair Salons

Hello! I recently moved to the area and I like more alternative haircuts/styles. I am looking for someone who knows how to do stuff like that 😅😅

I use to go to a traditional salon where I lived before and while the woman who did my hair was amazing and sweet and did a good job, she didn't exactly know what I was asking for when I asked for my haircuts. Usually it looked the best once it had grown out about two weeks in lol

Pretty much just looking for someone who knows how to do more nontraditional haircuts in or close to Janesville LOL

Thank you for any help!!

5 Year Old Birthday Party

Anyone have suggestions on where to have a 5 year old birthday party in December? My little guy loves playing sports, swimming and being active. No Chuck e Cheese 🙃

Donate used Baby/Toddler Items

Hi! We're done having children and the pile of things in our basement is too large. We're looking to donate some gently worn/used baby clothes N-3T, baby toys, maternity clothes etc. preferrably to a not-for-profit store (Goodwill).

My other option would be to sell in bulk for cheap on FB Marketplace.

What's the best plan for getting rid of things and providing them a new home?
