Finally found my rescue dog's breed!!

About 20 years ago, my partner and I had a rescue dog who we got from family. He had been through two owners and was supposed to be a Shih Tzu, but he didn't look like a Shih Tzu to me. We figured he was either a mix or some kind of puppy mill mutation. He was with us for 12 years before passing away in 2015.

Well, a few years after he passed, I finally saw my first Japanese Chin and couldn't get over how much it looked like our rescue dog! I started hunting for puppies and found two about a week ago, two states away from us. We went and brought them home, and there's no longer any doubt in my mind that our first guy was, in fact, a Chin. They are JUST like him! One even has the same fluffy coat and unique bark. The other is a silky coat, but very like our first Chin in personality.

How he ended up changing hands so many times will forever be a mystery!

First pic is our OG Chin, second and third are our two new friends.
