So after having my compass less than a month I got out while I could. It was In the shop 3 times before I could even make a first payment! Yinz had some comments on my old post about needing luck and it being my last and wow you guys were right! These things suck! (Atleast mine did) Got stuck on a hill in traffic for 4 hours waiting on a tow because of the same issue I’ve had since day 1 of ownership which despite being in the shop 3 times could not get fixed or resolved.

I have a 2019 Jeep Compass that Ive had since 2020.I have had to replace both Batteries at least 4 times since then. Its usually annually. BUT I recently changed them back around Nov/Dec of 2025 and its already dead again. I always replace the main and accessory battery together. I really dont understand what the problem is. Any suggestions? PS I dont leave any lights on or anything like that. Both Batteries just keep crapping out too quickly.

For Context, I have a 2018 Jeep Compass with 160,000 miles on it. Never have had any sort of repairs on it. Never changed transmission fluid and if I am to be honest I have been very late to a couple oil changes.

From a lot of my research I seem very lucky to have it last this long.
About a week ago when I was driving my AC got stuck on “auto” mode and none of the controls would work and i couldnt get it to shift past 60 mph , had the pedal down all the way and it wouldn’t pass 60. That being said it hasnt happened again. Ive been saving for a new car on the side but I am curious to see some input on how much longer this car has got!

Will a loose sway bar link caused body roll or the bad bushing? It’s the left side when hitting bumps at higher speeds like 50-65mph feel a lil wobble. Can’t tell if it’s that sway bar Link or bushing

We have been having car problems for about a week and a half now and do not know how to move forward. The compass originally told us it was a battery issue so we jumped it and it ran for a little bit but then abt two days later it goes out. So we buy an alternator and change out the battery because we assumed that it was just that. This experience alone took over a week because the car would keep saying it’s fine and then die a day after. We got it to run after bringing it to the mechanic for an ecm change and now it has fully shut off again today but even worse! The car would not turn off, we got a service transmission warning and check engine lights are on. Nothing needs to be restocked in the car and we are just at a loss. We have spent so much money on this car since we got it and it’s constantly breaking down. This on top of the monthly payment we’re having to do on it is making it so expensive that we just want to sell it. We are still doing the monthly payments but don’t know how to get out of them. From the two years that we’ve had it I would say we’ve easily spent over $4000 just repairing it. If you guys have any recommendations or suggestions about what might be wrong or what we could do next about the monthly payments please let me know!

Might be buying a 2022 with 50k miles on it. What are some things besides the obvious I should make sure to check out when I take it for a test drive? The dealer says they are fixing an issue with the differential right now. Ty!

Todavia, vejo muitos ruídos sobre problemas crônicos, em especial quanto ao trocador de calor.

Algumas matérias que li, dizem que a partir de 2022 foi resolvido pela Stellantis, mas dá aquele receio de comprar uma bomba.

Assim, questiono aos que são (ou foram) proprietários do modelo:

- Devo comprar? ou é bucha?
- Quais cuidados devo tomar antes de comprar, se assim recomendarem?

Anyone have any tips or recommendations on how to get a 4 gauge wire through the firewall for a subwoofer amp? I’m adding some subwoofers in the back and looking for some suggestions on what is the best/easiest way to get it through. Thanks

We’ve been out of town for a week and our cars have been sitting. My wife has a 2015 jeep compass 2.4L and when we first got home she used it to go 10 miles or so. About an hour later I tried to move it to mow and it was completely dead. I’ve had to use a battery charger on it each time to start it since and this morning while returning rental it completely died as she was driving. I had to keep charger connected and hood open on top of it to get home. Went to obd2 test it and as soon as I take charger off battery car dies. Advance tested battery, said it’s good. Everything points to alternator, but it was just changed in April 2025. I just hate to tear into the car and pull alternator if there’s a chance I’m missing something, if you’ve ever changed an alternator on a jeep compass you understand why.
