A Reminder of Gage's Interview One Year Ago

With everything that has happened in the last year or more and now with Gage on Substack, I would like to remind everyone of this interview that Heather McDonald set up with Dr. Drew and Gage two years ago. I was cynical and not a big fan of Dr. Drew nor Heather, but looking back, I believe this interview was beyond insightful on many levels. I think Gage was just tired of the ongoing bashing Jeff was doing on air, and that's why he decided to speak out at the time.

Gage is a great communicator, thoughtful, and he also really listened and had questions for Dr. Drew. You don't have to agree with everything in this interview. And no parent or ex is perfect. So it's not that Gage is perfect in the years of back and forth, and I had been critical. But I believe you will come away with a newfound respect for him and what he has endured for years dealing with Jeff personally and also with Jeff using his radio show for the continual dragging and misinformation.

I recently listened to this again, and I know I respect him a lot more after this interview in light of all of the recent events and Jeff's relentless bullying behavior towards everyone, which has escalated. It is what he is using his radio show for these days: burying his perceived enemies.

Fortune's interior designers

What are Fortune’s “gays” doing to her house?! Grayish brown paint, posters of 007 and bikini-clad ladies with surfboards on the wall, and no pops of color —except for a red mixer in the kitchen that she will never use. I appreciated Mae’s very gentle question, But Fortune, is this really your personality? I think Mae should handle Fortune’s interior design and Fortune should handle Mae’s home insurance / fire safety issues!

Theory on a contributing factor to Jeff’s spiral - Andy found love?

Treadmill thought for tonight/another one of my conspiracy theories - I believe there are many contributing factors to Jeff’s spiral, but could a major one be that Andy has found love? Now I do not believe that Jeff pines for Andy romantically, but I do think that Jeff is very competitive and also that misery loves company.

I think there was probably something comforting with Andy being single- Andy is very successful and attractive but had a hard time finding a relationship that stuck until now. Now Andy seems very, very happy, and maybe that was the straw the broke the camels back in addition to the Scott/Gage relationship, renegotiation, new attorneys, fired employees, unchumped “friends”, potential termites, etc.

JLL Comedian Appreciation

Appreciate all the comedians the show platforms and gives exposure to. They are SO talented + great banter & able to roll with the show. Most of them don’t end up in my area but always try to see their stand up and grab a ticket for those that are 🙏
