Day trip to France?

I was just wondering if day trips to St Malo are still worth it for family outing? We went once when I was a kid and it was fun. And then once for work… maybe 20 years ago? But then I moved away… now newly back, but a friend mentioned lots of delays or issues anecdotally (but also hates boats!) Any comments or experiences, folks?

Fish restaurant in Jersey that isn't gastro.

My daughter has decided that she would like to try crab and mussels. Looking for recommendations of where would be a restaurant that isn't gastro or just fried fish and chips?

The first series of the Bergerac reboot is on iPlayer now, and showing on BBC2 weekly from 9pm tonight

Just in case some people still haven't got round to it yet. No, it's not quite as good as the old one. Yes, he spends a lot of time going up and down the Five Mile Road. Yes, a decent chunk of it was filmed in England (but that goes for the first series of the original too).

Just take it as its own thing. You might enjoy it.

I just hope they finally get a local pronunciation advisor for series 3...

I randomized a 64-team EURO, please don't let UEFA see this.

Since UEFA has only 55 associations, I had to get creative with the other 9...

Box for shipping

I'm doing one big shipment of all my stuff to someone in the UK to sell stuff rather than selling individual items over here as it's significantly cheaper, I was wondering where I could find a large box, something like 100x100x100 cm or just large in general to ship a whole bunch of items with Jersey Post, I've have tried them and B&Q, any ideas?

Outsider curious about traffic

Recently I visited the island after about 12 years or so. It was as great as I remembered it, or actually even nicer. One thing that stood out though was traffic. It struck me as being a lot busier and more stressy than it was, at least in the South. What happened?

Also I never quite understood (delivery vehicles not withstanding) why anyone would need anything bigger than an original Mini on the island (saw only one, pretty thing at that), let alone a Range Rover. I mean why punish yourself?

(For baseline: I am a car guy, rather than a cyclist eco warrior type).

Is anyone able to tell me why so many dead crabs washed up on the beach? Is that normal? Not a local so no idea!

Legal question: does birth certificate for someone born in Jersey say Jersey or United Kingdom as the country of birth?

I know that Jersey is a dependent territory of UK and not one of it's constituent kingdoms, but I'm not sure where this dependence ends in legal terms. Are people of Jersey considered British citizens? Or only King's subjects, but have their own citizenship?
