Differences between "Jesus Christ Superstar" Versions
Hello.
I am MD'ing the show in a few months and have not received the score for the licensed version yet. I know the score is sung through and so I wanted to find the correct cast recording that lines up with the definitive version so that the cast and pit can listen to it to get the flow of the show. The internet does not have a very clear answer, and frankly there may not be one.
What are the major concrete MUSICAL differences (less so lyrics, libretto and staging/acting choices and more so differences in song order, musical sections missing/added across versions, and even differences in small things like measure numbers if known and compared) between the Original Broadway production, the London 1996 production, and the "Definitive" version licensed by Concord Theatricals?
