27(M). Bachelor's degree in Environment. Tried everything. Just tired now.

I'm27, male,, with a bachelor's degree in environmental studies

Since I graduated, I've been looking for a job in my field. Nothing. After a while I got so tired of applying and hearing nothing back that I tried something else  I did webcam work for a bit. It paid but it wasn't worth it, it drained me mentally, so I stopped.

Then I took the little money I had saved and opened a wines and spirits shop. It actually did well. Things were finally looking up. But then the authorities kept demanding more and more money from me, and I couldn't keep up, so I had to close it.

Since then I've been applying for jobs outside Kenya too, for a whole year now, mostly conservation and environment-related roles. Nothing. No replies, no interviews, nothing.

Honestly, I'm exhausted. Not just tired, exhausted. The kind of tired where you start feeling like just cutting up your passport and being done with the whole idea of leaving.

What I'm good at is communication, community advocacy, and anything to do with social media I've basically grown up online so I know how to navigate it. I'm flexible too, I can learn and do almost anything, not just environment work.

Finding international clients

Hey everyone, this is my first post on this subreddit and I would like some guidance. I am a virtual assistant with some experience in social media management and knowledge in digital marketing..I recently decided to shift from looking for jobs locally and instead focus on getting international clients. Lakini I'm lost on where to start. I'm in some virtual assistant groups on Facebook but I've not gotten any hopeful lead on there. Those working in a similar space, help me out please. How do y'all go about looking for clients and on what sites or platforms? I'm genuinely curious and would like to get even one time gigs as I build from there.

Will you support me?

Hey guys. This is my first post ever on Reddit, and I'm both excited and nervous about how I'm going to sound but here goes nothing.

I am a 25F certified cosmetologist skilled in massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, lashes, nails, dreadlocks, hair color, makeup and wig installs. After several years of working at people's spas and it almost always ending up with issues ( most times the bosses just straight up refuse to pay you), I decided to start my own business where I do house calls. It has been operational for the last three weeks, and so far it seems promising. But in order for me to be able to pay my rent, bills and to buy more products so that I'm able to keep growing my business, I am going to need a lot more clients.

And that is actually the point of this post. If you or anyone you know is in need of any of the above services, please feel free to DM me. I can assure you quality services for affordable prices. Thank you for reading.

Almost Got Scammed

I was really desperate to get a gig, and I saw a post where they were looking for someone to do a data entry gig remotely. I sent the person a text here on Reddit, and he/she advised me to text a specific someone on Telegram which I did. Everything was going fine -I thought. I was given a task to transcribe 70 pages per their own rate per page, which I agreed - remember I was desperate for a gig.

The instructions were simple: transcribe 70 pages within 12 hours. Which I did. They accepted the document after I was done within 3-4 hours and was given another Telegram contact to submit details and receive my pay. This is where the red flags began to show. But still did as prompted.

Several hours later, the pay account asked for my details which I gave them. They finally asked for $60 for an "Employee Verification ID," which I declined to pay even a cent for, and they tried to haggle to 40 USD - this is where I realized it was all a scam.

Be alert.

Any Opportunity In Utawala?

Back In April I had The world In my finger tips, I had recently left my Uncles real estate Gig cause He had a couple of rentals-For-businesses he had Built, lets call them Silver Businesses (mabati stores) but The pay wasn't so attractive, 10k a month and I had a girlfriend wasn't sustainable. So I started reaching out to see if I could Double my income. A couple of months later I was Contacted by a chinese Business. They said 25k was the pay. I smashed the interview having been plugged by one of my sister's friends and Got to Working a couple of days Later. The job was In Karen where I was So Exposed having come from Eastlands, I Interacted with international clients, British, swedish, italians, and russians who were just oblivious to what I did but non-the-less I worked. Got promoted to the sales team, then Moved Up the ranks to customer service at the front desk. I was thrilled but sadly the promotion was all oral and Not financial. I dreaded the Job after 4months because we were short staffed and No compensation was offered for working Quadruple the work load for a promotion I didn't ask for. After a weeks leave off from my superior, Where i was still new to the role She kept Approving leave over leave over leave to everyone except me. I got burnt out and got demoted. ( The shame) I couldn't work. I got so burnt out that I used to Vomit my food, I couldn't cook. I lost weight and all. So I resigned.

3months in Unexplotment and I am Ready for the job market. If anyone has anything I could do as a 28yr old Guy. Kindly Help. I live with my Mum currently and even moving out to a 2k house is a win. 🙏🏿 Thanks

ADVICE/HELP, Work, money and depression. I am losing my mind, death may be comforting

I haven't posted something like this ever, but I feel like I am exploding. This may not even reach anyone but atleast it off my mind. I am losing my mind. I lost my job back in December (contract ended) and for the last 7 months I have been looking for work.

Not to toot my own horn but I am a great worker, first class honors in International Studies and really good at what I do. But that does not seem to matter, I have been applying and applying and applying but nothing successful. Whoever said money doesn't make you happy is a liar. Without a job, I have no income, with no income, I can't pay my bills, so now I have ran through my savings and in fear of eviction with a debt of 38,000 Kes.

Then to top it all of my mother is now sick, yaani when the rain chooses to pour it thunders. I wake every morning with a headache and go to bed with one, I have taken all the headex and paracetamol there is to take, suicide is becoming more and more appealing. What is the purpose of life truly if suffering is all you get. I did everything right, everything. I went to school, did my best, graduated, did the internships, worked hard but here I am I can't even afford food, FOOD. I have never been in a situation like this before.

I sit here and think to myself why not just end it all, all this suffering and pain. I have reached out to family and friends for help and this is when you know who actually is there for you, in my case; No one. When I had money everyone, but now no one. I am losing it. What do I do? Where do I go? Please I need help/advice anything, I am losing my mind. If anyone has a job or referral or even any leads they can offer my email is; mitchellewambui387@gmail.com, you can also text me or donate on saf; 0742533873

Ujanja tu Kidogo Wazee

Watu wajanja saii wanafungua accounts za Atlas Capture mingi. Alafu unaim tu kumake minimum 100USDT per 15 days.

Ukiwa na Accounts kama tano. Unaokota 500USDT zako safi every pay cycle.

Mkumbuke kuput in honest work na ukishajoin, attend trainings zao, hutalia shida.

Title: I’m at my limit. I’m looking for any kind of honest work.

I honestly don’t know how else to say this, but I’m really down right now. I’m facing eviction within the next two days, I haven’t eaten today, and I’ve been surviving on whatever little food people have been able to give me.

I’m not asking for free money. I’m willing to work for it. Any honest job — cleaning, laundry, errands, manual work, helping in a shop, moving things, anything. I just need an opportunity to earn enough to eat and keep a roof over my head.

I also have two Lordwell-type watches that I’m willing to sell if anyone is interested.

If anyone in Nairobi knows of any casual work or any opportunity at all, please DM me. Even a lead would mean a lot right now.

I’m ready to work. I just need someone to give me the opportunity.
