Should I watch JW4 at all?

I love the premise of JW1 and to me it was a matter of balance which gave me that warm feeling. I was on board with JW2, but already JW3 felt needlessly OTT with action.

But it isn't actually action which keeps me from watching JW4. >!It's the fact that he dies. !<I have the DVD right here and it still is unwatched. I bought it at least two years ago.

Somehow I wonder whether this would kill the entire franchise for me, especially JW1. The balance I talk about? His wife died, Daisy was killed, he avenged Daisy, he recollected his wife's memory, and he got himself another dog. To me there wasn't even a need for movie No2.

He righted the wrongs in JW1, he got even. >!If I have to watch him die, he will have lost. !<It will have been meaningless.

Is there anyone who understands this? What say you?

If John is bringing down the high table in the 5th film he can’t do it alone hopefully one or two if not all of them show up to help

Can we talk about this guy? 😂

So what do we think is going with him? Since Wick, Eve were orphans when they joined the family, maybe Klaus was in a similar boat but from a far worse situation. I don’t know what to make of it honestly. Thoughts?

I do see him more as comic relief. This is more of a character with some intellectual disability but could show obedience and consistency to get that high up in the family. I am Klaus!

Which films feel like they fit in the Wickverse? This one definitely does once I heard about it and watched it

Okay. I see why many people say this is a good one.

Initially I didn’t finish this one because I thought she was performing moves she couldn’t convince me she was capable of doing…mainly the training scenes. However, upon watching it the second time, okay it was definitely a good movie. Awesome to see a community of “killers” which was interesting. It wasn’t a bad finish…expect for the end where the chancellor and his driver drove right up to her and died lol I felt like they would’ve just continue driving away.

Im saying this now RE9 will end up being a better john wick game than the one that saber is officially making. But damn do i hope they prove me wrong.

Public scrutiny in the universe

I was rewatching JW4 recently, and while I do understand that assassins and the criminal underworld are a part of normal life in this world, watching the whole Paris sequence all the way to the end it was the equivalent to a mass terror event with hundreds of people dead on the street. Yes they were all assassins, but I really doubt regular people were all too happy of that happening, and I really doubt there wasn’t any cross fire or collateral damage with how chaotic that whole scene was. Do you think in future John wick movies they would explore the public scrutiny from all the events from past John wick movies, or have law enforcement get into the mix?

How old do you believe John Wick will be in the fifth film?

Even though Keanu was already nearing 60 by John Wick 4, all four films were set within a span of less than a year so John remained what I assume to be in his early 50s throughout the first four films.

By the start of John Wick 5, there's got to be a massive timeskip - at least 10 years I say, John should be in his 60s at least by then. They need to accommodate for Keanu slowing down in real life by having John older and slower too, of course he'd still be deadly but it nonetheless would be interesting to see John in greater adversity due to him being even older.

Theory: John Wick 5 will begin with the High Table completely collapsing and the criminal underworld becoming totally lawless.

See, if John really faked his death(which I personally don't believe, but since there is a John Wick 5 I must guess I am wrong) there's got to be a way to bring him back into the mess, because the Harbinger literally said that he was free of all obligation to the High Table.

My theory goes something like this: by the end of 4, John has died as a martyr against the High Table, literally going unpunished more or less for killing the Elder and the Marquis. At the same time , Eve in Ballerina has literally destroyed the Cult with the help of John.

This likely encouraged a wave of anti-High Table rebellions to occur, to the point where the High Table collapses entirely. As a result, the criminal underworld plummets into anarchy, with violence being committed everywhere, even on Continentals.

Perhaps a incident even occurs on the New York Continental which kills or at least wounds Winston, forcing John back into the game.

I dunno, these are just my ideas. I'm personally not fond of the idea of a sequel, but it's not my decision.

What do you guys think?

Pitch your movie set in the John Wick universe centred on a clueless civilian that found himself at the wrong place at the wrong time like in Collateral.

Honestly, I'm very curious to view this world of assassins through the eyes of someone was minding his own business but is suddenly caught up in dangerous underworld business and has no idea what's going on.

DIY stand for my Funko Pop

I looked at different scenes and reference art and thought a road would be the best way to keep him upright

Am I the only one?

On John Wick 4, especially the Dragon's Breath scene. I saw this particular scene. The dude who initially survived being hit by the incendiary begged for his life before John shot him again. Look closely at his hands, a pose of a person begging forgiveness. I also heard him begging mercy.

Well, that's a detail I saw when I watched it. But this guy shot first. Take the consequence too.
