This Is A Long Shot, But It's Been Driving Me Crazy

So I'm trying to remember where a certain random clip from a movie is from. I can hear and kinda see it in my head but can't place the source and it's been driving me kinda nuts. Here's what I can recall:

- It's a random short snippet, like 5ish seconds, from (probably) a movie

- A character is singing Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash, I believe to a live audience. I also think it's a side character in the film.

- Specifically, they sing the line "I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on"

- They sing in a low and kinda quiet voice and are accompanied by a guitar and a low, steady, rat-a-tat kind of snare beat

- I think it might be from some kind of music-related story (I mean no duh lol), in the sense that it's about musicians? Like maybe it follows a band or a singer? Or maybe it's about some kind of music event or contest? The movie might also be a comedy, or at the very least lighter fare? This is much less clear in my head and may be pretty inaccurate, so bear that in mind.

I know this is the most random, niche thing ever but I can hear and almost see the clip in my head, playing over and over, but I just can't place it. I don't see it anywhere on the song's Wikapedia page. If this rings a bell for anyone please let me know! I don't know where else to turn for help with this earwormy stim.

I heard y’all been talking bad about Johnny 99.

I really like this album! Both of the Springsteen covers are great. This might be a hot take, but I actually like them more than Springsteen’s versions. The other songs are strong and there is some good variety in there. I’m always glad to have a nice duet with June. My only skip is the Robert E Lee song, and that’s just because I’m not in the mood for those lyrics.

I started a new group for bass singers and those who enjoy listening to bass singing. Join, if interested! It‘s a place to both share music and to learn how to expand one‘s lower range as well.
