Nobody warned me I’d get this attached

Nobody warned me I’d get this attached

I used to be the most carefree person ever and now I’m emotionally attached to this ring like my life depends on it lol. I never imagined something this small could hold so much meaning. I need ideas on insuring it with a great policy that’s not super expensive because I don’t wanna baby it everywhere I go .. I’m already obsessed 😭.

Help me choose my engagement ring! 💍🙏

My wonderful partner proposed yesterday ❤️ he proposed with this beautiful wedding band & made an appointment so that we could go ring shopping together today! I think I am leaning towards marquise cut, but was surprised by some of the rings that I liked (always thought I didn't like halos or rectangular shapes, but ended up liking them on my hand lol).

Which ring do you think looks best on my hand and with my wedding band?! 💍 I would likely get the halo ring center stone a bit smaller, and the metal would be yellow gold for any of them.

We went to Germany on vacation and he proposed on the Hohenzollern Bridge! Total surprise! I love my ring!

1.5ct S+P diamond surrounded with white diamonds on a platinum band.

Center stone is very dynamic in different light 🩷

Gift for newly-engaged friends

My friends just got engaged while on vacation, and I’d love to surprise them with a little gift waiting for them when they get home in a few days. Aside from a nice bottle of champagne, any ideas for what I could put in a basket? There isn’t really time to order anything, and I’m trying to not make it too bride-focused since I’m friends with both of them and not just her. This would also be separate from later engagement and wedding gifts

My turn 🥰

Designed the ring myself but didn’t get to see the final product until the proposal. It’s even more perfect than I could have imagined.

Ring deets: main stone is a Montana sapphire just over 1 carat and the diamonds on the side are from my partner’s great grandmother’s engagement ring. Size I believe a 7.25.

Absolutely unreal! ✨

Yesterday morning in Paris, I said yes to a big, beautiful life with my partner of nearly 4 years. I am breathless, at peace, grateful, and incredibly excited! 🥂❤️ (posted for my fiancée because she doesn't have enough karma lol)

Did your fiancé hire a photographer for your engagement?

Hi all! Like the title says, did your fiancé hire a photographer for your engagement? Is it something you told them that you wanted beforehand or did they do it all on their own?

I’m 27F and I think my boyfriend (28M) of 11 years is going to propose in a couple months and now my head’s starting to spin! Out of no where a couple weeks ago he said he booked off the long weekend in July to stay at his family’s little cabin we love to go to out by the water and watch the fireworks on the 4th. He put in the time off request on April 25th and got it approved the same day so I’m also guessing he told his boss his reason for the time off so it got approved immediately lol.

I know he has a ring already cause I found it (lol) but also we went ring shopping a few times in the fall and I was VERY clear that I liked that one certain ring and heavily hinted at buying it when I checked the website to see it was 63% off! So the ring isn’t a surprise which is no problem for me cause I’m very very happy he got it cause I can be quite picky! (I even told him in the fall not to propose yet cause I would rather it to happen in spring or summer during the happiest months :-))

That being said, I’ve been watching proposal idea videos and of course there’s a lot about posing for proposal photos. I’m having a hard time deciding if having a photographer there is important to me or not. If you can’t tell, I’ve given him specific input already, so I don’t want to take away all of his excitement for planning and his creative freedom, but I also don’t want to be disappointed!

Years ago one of his best friends asked him if he would hide in the bushes and take pictures for his proposal, so I know the idea of having a photographer isn’t lost on him, but still. Not sure if it’s a necessity, or if a purely intimate moment is all we really need.

TLDR; Did your fiancé hire a photographer for the proposal and did they do it all on their own or did you tell them to hire a photographer prior? I’ve already given my boyfriend specific input on the ring I want and when I want to be proposed to, so I don’t want to take away too much creative freedom. I just also don’t want to be disappointed if I just didn’t communicate enough!

Please hype my very contained but also completely exploding joy 🤩💍🤣

I said yes the day after Valentine’s Day 😍💍
Please hype me up because I’m still ridiculously excited🫠😍😹

We kept it private out of respect for my cousin, who got engaged shortly before us 💚

What makes everything even sweeter is knowing my fiancé had already planned everything long before that — ring included 😭✨

He had everything prepared since last year, and somehow the timing naturally fell right around Valentine’s Day 🤍💍

One of my favorite stories he told me was how stressed he got when the ring was finished around the same time my cousin got engaged 😹

He casually make up little stories about couples he supposedly “overheard”, debating whether it was okay to propose only a few months after a relative got engaged 🤣

Meanwhile, I had no idea those stories were his subtle way of testing the waters.
He was fully convinced and scared that if he waited any longer, I’d somehow accidentally discover the ring 😭✨

Now that we don’t have to keep it private anymore, I’m suddenly lowkey shy to post it on my socials 😂🫠

I’m sharing it here instead because I genuinely cannot stop staring at my ring 🥹 (my inner being is screaming 🤭)

Anyone else still randomly smiling every time they put on their ring? 🙋‍♀️🫠
And then feeling weirdly incomplete and a little sad whenever you forget to wear it 😭🤍

Finally engaged 🥹

The gold was melted from a ring that belonged to my grandmother, now passed, who I was very close to. 4-carat certified diamond (🥹). My ring size is 6. It’s custom, made by a local jeweler who my fiancé loved working with—we will be going back for wedding bands! My fiancé is a woodworker, so he also hand-made the beautiful wooden ring box…it’s olive wood imported from Italy, which is a very special place to me. The initials inside are my initials with my maiden name, which is to honor my family.

I am beyond happy and the luckiest girl in the world. I cannot stop smiling! Can’t wait to spend forever with him! ❤️

(The last picture is from DnD the night of his proposal. I rolled a d20 for love as a joke and got a Natural 20…and I swear, when my fiancé rolled it right after me, he ALSO got a Natural 20!! There is really no way to prove it to you, so you’ll just have to take my word for it 😂 but I am LOVING the good juju around us right now!!)

10 years in the making!

I’ve been creeping on this page for a little while and always tried to imagine what it would all feel like. Surreal is the feeling I suppose! My (now fiancé!!) partner of 10 years took me on a surprise 3 week holiday to Europe, saying it’s for our anniversary and my birthday! I had zero idea this was going to happen…
Even better, by buying the ring he got entered into a draw to win flights to anywhere in the world… which we happened to win! So off to Paris from New Zealand we went, and he proposed right on the Seine. I couldn’t be happier. 🥹

When proposed in Paris, you should say 'Oui' 💍

The Eiffel Tower is so romantic, and Paris is so romantic. It was all planned by the straight guy himself for a whole year, with a super surprise. Even I didn't know about the ring selection, haha. It's really super super dazzling, and I can't help looking at my hand every day
