Is One piece worth continuing after time-skip?
i stopped midway at fishman island a few months back after having a generational binge watch
i wanna catch up to the story but dont feel like watching due to the risk of fatigue and the long time it will take

About Skypiea
About why Skypiea is the best arc in One Piece - I wanted to show my love for skypiea here :
Skypiea my favorite arc because it has pretty much everything I love most about One Piece: the joy of discovery, the love of adventure, a completely new land they have to explore and understand, great lore, and a huge amount of humor, especially between the crew members. And as a bonus, it even has a genuinely terrifying villain.
There’s also the dreamlike aspect of it. An island in the clouds is basically the ultimate fantasy for an eight-year-old kid, and Oda actually brings that fantasy to life. That’s why the characters themselves feel so euphoric there — they’re like kids discovering an impossible world.
And I’d include Jaya as part of the whole experience, because it sets Skypiea up perfectly. Jaya is absolutely brilliant. It has that special One Piece touch where grotesque, ridiculous-looking characters somehow end up becoming incredibly charismatic and lovable.
It also captures the essence of the manga through two completely different ways of looking at the world: Doflamingo and Bellamy on one side, Luffy and Teach on the other. That whole clash of worldviews, dreams, and what it means to pursue them is pure One Piece to me.
But at the end of the day, One Piece is still a shonen, and a lot of fans naturally prefer it when the story revolves more around fights, power-ups, power scaling, etc. Skypiea doesn’t really have the usual setup either — no Marines, no Admiral, none of the more familiar enemies or stakes — so I can understand why it doesn’t work as well for everyone.
But for me, Jaya and Skypiea contain almost everything that makes One Piece special. And ironically, I think the things that make these arcs so quintessentially One Piece are also the things that separate them the most from a more conventional shonen.
I’m not much of a shonen fan in the first place, so that works perfectly for me. Obviously, that’s not the case for everyone.
Made one piece inspired devil fruits.
Loved onepiece and got obsessed over the powers. So i made them real.
Should i launch these?
What are your thoughts?
Before Zoro "Nothing Happened" We Had Chopper 😭
How did one piece saved your life?
I've seen many people say that One Piece changed their lives or saved their lives, but I want to know how.
Can’t join the crew
Am I the only one who thinks Vivi shouldn't rejoin the Straw Hats for the same reason people say Carrot couldn't? They both have responsibilities to lead their countries. If Carrot has to stay and rule Zou, shouldn't Vivi have to stay and help Alabasta? Also, in fights Vivi would be dead weight unless she got a major power-up.
Does anyone know where i can find more of this type of art scattered through the earlier episodes of one piece.
Is there some galary or do you guys have some? I love this artstyle.
Realistically, how many more years of One Piece we have left?
Part of me is happy, and another is worried about seeing the end of One Piece. It is a thought that has been nagging me since 2018, when Oda announced we were at 80% after 20 years of One Piece; that meant we had 5 years left.
8 years later, and I still don't feel we are anywhere near the end. At minimum, we still have to finish Elbaf, Lodestar, Blackbeard, Laugh Tale, and the final war.
I have been reading One Piece for +20 years; I'm in my forties, and I would love to see the complete story one day. But I'm starting to feel we have another +10 years left.
What do you guys rate one piece?
Im currently at fishman island and watching the remastered version. But I’m wondering how you guys like the show on a scale om 1-10? But also what you think of it as unbiased as possible based on just how good the story is. My ratings are.
Enjoyment:8/10
Plot/story:8,5/10
(No spoilers pls)
Edit: when I said story I meant more of the show as a whole
