A handful of these are available online before shows start happening. Forrest hills pin is almost sold out. 2 inch hard enamel with double rubber pin backs.
CAVS’ sophomore album Sojourn feels like a slow river opening in front of you, warm, colourful, and strange. It’s the perfect record for the beginning of spring, when everything outside starts breathing again. Compared to his 2021 self-titled solo album, built around drums and percussion, Sojourn feels easier to enter. It’s still experimental in spirit, but softer in delivery, shaped by jazz-funk textures, confident winds, and wandering basslines. Full Review
Finally got around to uploading my orchestra tour footage from last year. Hope you enjoy! If you hear me singing off-pitch, no you don’t
and yes, joey is once again bald
Freshly printed straight from Alex Brettin’s living room and Stu Mackenzie's basement. The red marker on the back really captures the raw, chaotic energy of the microtonal banana. Taking offers starting at $500 or trade for a rare Flightless vinyl pressing
(This is obviously a joke please don't take me seriously) If you do want this shirt to be real send it to Stones Throw or Flightless
Basically what it says on the tin. Interested in people's takes on which songs show how great the guys are at making music across genres.
I'm not gonna ask any questions on what to listen to or where to go with KGLW...
I just wanted to post and say, Frick me for sleeping on them for so long! I had heard about em for like 5 years now, but whatever press I did see painted them as more along the lines of a jam band and I just don't get into that, no shade thrown, just not my thing (I'm a long time electronic music fan and experimental/fringe music listener); having said that, I watched one of the KEXP sessions and damn. WORLD CHANGED.
I've now started picking up albums.
Honestly, while sad I missed out on live shows that have happened, I'm kinda super happy I have such a catalog of music to go through!
I really think they've been the freshest breath of air to modern rock in decades.
So, while I'm new to the group, I'm full in and so amazed and heartened at the depth of musicality and really just, great vibes from all of them. It's pretty astonishing to me.
I'm so glad I honoured my whim and gave them a chance, my life is better for having this music in it.
I dunno why it took me this long to watch it (yay Sleep Drifter and Billabong Valley!), but why is the audio so echo-ey and boomy? I don't remember any other KEXP sessions that had that sound. Was that purposefully done? I would guess it would have to have been, but it sounded kinda...hollow is the wrong word, but...you know what I mean?
NGL, I'm pretty dissapointed they didn't do a 9 year anniversary tour/show. That's it. I just returned to Reddit to say this.
I have an itch that must be scratched either by techno or bluegrass or both. I need ittt
Am I right or am I right?
My artwork for u/obicogs fun K.K Gondwanaland bootleg vinyl and tape release, a remix of POLYGONDWANALAND in the style of K.K. Slider, dropping THIS FRIDAY! Animal Crossing was one of the first games I owned as a kid on the GameCube, so I wanted to focus on the nostalgia and how weird/mysterious it felt at times (the other ones don’t feel like this one!) and tap into those warm summer nights playing this game.
I was putting this shirt in the donation bag when my daughter (who has been getting into KGLW with me) said, "Stop! You can't get rid of that! Look!!" (or something to that effect. I can't recall conversations verbatim)
I honestly didn't think about the gizzard possibilities until she said that. Anything else I should add? I feel like there's no visuals that go with this song in particular so I used the cyboogie face because it seemed to fit, visually.
Also am not sure if I'm still going to donate it now. I do love the idea of turning someone on to KGLW through a random mysterious fanart shirt at a thrift store.
I've got nowhere else to share, and I'm super excited with my silly outcome. Got a lot of KGLW iconography and song references! See if you can find how I got around finding patches for some of my favorite songs:
- Extinction
- Straws in the Wind
- The Great Chain of Be(e)ing
- Dragon
- Gila Monster
- Iron Lung
- Magma
- Inner Cell
- Motor Spirit
- Plastic Boogie, Bitter Boogie, Cut Throat Boogie, Cyboogie, Boogieman Sam
- Grim Reaper
- The River
Also stoked to be reppin' Barcelona 2025 on the back patch!
Real excited to party in it with ya'll in August!
