No Filming allowed inside Mazes at Knotts Scary Farm 2026
An artisan was set up at the Town Hall during Nightmares Revealed working on actual new costumes for CarnEvil, Inked, and Unearthed. Also went to the makeup workshop where it was mentioned that they usually start at 3 to 5am each morning before Scary Farm to prep up to 400 scare actors (or whoever shows up that day). They also mentioned that clowns were particularly hard because of the details, and another challenge was getting prosthetics to stay adhered to very sweaty persons. Wanted to stick around longer, but I had to run to get good seats for the maze creators panel...
I forgot how amazing the spooky community is. Talking shop with people in line, the makeup artists, set up crew, and even some team members that were in line was literally my favorite thing out of the night!! Other than the widows maze of course it being one I my favorite mazes and getting to see things up close without someone bitching at my was FANTASTIC. The teeny bopper atmosphere was at a complete minimum like maybe 1 decibel literally such a great evening.
Did yall enjoy it? I didn’t try any of the food or snacks I went straight to the drinks and let me tell you that yellow thing in a pouch really hit the spot I was as lit as a tit some would say.
Honestly so excited for this season and everything it has to offer. ✨✨✨✨✨✨
Seeing the AI-generated logo for Unearthed completely crushed my excitement for the maze in general. I’m so disappointed at whoever cleared this, especially with the many references to hand-drawn art and sketches made during the maze creator Q&A panel. Step it up, Knotts.
Personally, I'm more excited for Inked. I absolutely love cartoon horror and believe that we need more of it. Also i love how similar it feels to Bendy and the Ink machine. On the other hand, I'm not very excited for Unearthed. Unearthed just seems like it has less heart put into it, from the Ai looking poster to the theme and story of it. Plus I just dont really care for mummies lol (not because I find them scary but because I'm just so tired of the mummy movies and mazes/houses using the same theme)
Hey it looks like the person who done the previous artwork is back!
Also for Unearthed, yeah it looks like something similar is there but I can’t put my tongue on it
Edit: Damn I’m Ashamed that I’ve put Ink instead of Inked, my bad on that
UPDATE: Skip to 40:45 in the video for the actual start of the show. VIP lounge was busier than usual for a weekday with vloggers (on August 18th). Staff said that people were showing up for Nightmares Revealed since 10am.
With the knowledge that even though the maze is LEGIT nothing but hand drawn cartoons they decided to go the AI route with the T-shirt...again...I've come to the conclusion that I need to make my own shirt.
So far I have a few ideas:
So far I have the "Morbid Studios" text done for altering, but failing hard for the "Est. 1930" text. Drawing them in comes after.
Does anyone know if the buffet is coming back this year ? I haven't heard anything
Major props to u/GannJerrod on not judging too soon on the artwork and doing research!
With that, it looks like Jeff Delgado actually worked on the art with him showing it on his instagram account
I was doubtful on it not being his art but, man I’m happy that I’m wrong on that
Alright this one just a short one because it slipped out of my mind but these just a few more before tonight announcement.
-They reveal a new refresh for the Mine Ride with the projectors finally working for haunt.
-Le Magnifique Carnaval du Grotesque gets its final showing this year
And that’s pretty much for this year of my predictions I hope who are going to Nightmares Reveal have a great time and enjoy the experience!
New Scary Farm Lantern spotted in window display at Virginias.
With Nightmares Reveal being on Tuesday imma just shoot out my final predictions.
-The two new mazes will be spiritual successors based on (seems obvious with the teaser for the Mesmer replacement) Toon Terrortory and Invasion Beneath
-The Walter Knott theater won’t have an “experience” but (hopefully) a show
-They announce The Zoo will have light-outs again but modified for both guests and employees safety
-The Maze taking Grimoire’s spot will be this year’s gimmick maze
-New Lantern spots mainly with the refreshed CarnEvil, although they’re going a few bugs park wide
-Out of left field they announce they’re bring back daytime tours for mazes
-The Barrels make their grand return blocking the view of the cameras
I love the boardwalk area and I’m so stoked for more CarnEVIL!!!
hey!! does anyone know if actors get any comp tickets for knotts scary farm? just wondering lol :)
For some reason, I always find myself wearing the same jacket because it's not too thick, just warm enough, and not a pain to carry if I do get hot. Also has the perfect water bottle pockets.
Also, I don't care how unstylish they look. I'm wearing running shoes or cross trainers. Ain't no aura in the fog when your feet hurt.
This is only going to be my third year and I'm wondering, mazes that are the same from the year prior, do they change at all to stay fresh? Slight changes to story or design, a new animatronic?
