Camera Experiment Mod for KSP

RESOLVED

The mod is called Docking Cams. It adds a single camera, "Onboard Camera" and is the exact camera I was looking for.

So there was this one mod that added a camera for KSP which brought up a UI, had CRT, NV, IR vision and stuff and was on gimbal. It wasn't from Hullcam VDS, and it also had a science experiment with it. The UI it brought up looked like the UI of the BDA targeting pods, and it also had zoom options, in addition to an additional digital zoom of x48. It had 4 yellow balls on the base of it and when right clicked to interact with it, the menu had a place that said "Shots Left: 4". I never figured out what that meant, however that's beside the point. Now after a new modpack, after I lost the old one, I just can not find the mod that added it. I had pictures I've taken using it but I also can't find those anymore, however I remember what it looked like so here is an illustration on what it looked like and a similar UI to the UI it had..

KSP1 Part Mods in KSP2

Project Shakespeare is a new feature in KSP2 Redux which allows you to use many KSP1 part mods inside KSP2. You can try it out now!

This on-the-fly conversion tool serves as a tech demo for the upcoming conversion tools for KSP1 modders, which will be part of the next update of our Unity-based SDK for Redux modding.

Interstellar Performance Mods

How’s it going, Kerbals? I hope I’m in the right place to ask, but is there a generally agreed upon interstellar mod or mod pack that will specifically run on the same potato that juuust happens to run KSP? I’ve got integrated graphics, so stock KSP runs like a charm so long as I keep everything set to low. Acceptable fps with reasonably sized crafts, just low textures.

I see there are many different interstellar mod packs, and many of them seem to also add extra special graphics just because why wouldn’t they, I get it. But is there one that will almost assuredly run on any hardware? I’m just looking to Star hop, whether that’s via Far Future Tech or simple wormholes

Stockalike Station Parts Redux question

as in the picture, there seems to be a issue with the 2.5m vertical base legs. it looks and functions (hitbox, physics and textures) like the 2.5m cradle legs. while construction the name and description is of the vertical legs but they show up as the cradle ones. there are vertical and base legs for all the other diameter parts (1.25m, 1.875m, 3.75m, 5m). there are properly functioning cradle style legs for the 2.5m parts, but not vertical ones.

could this possibly be a issue from my side (incorrect installation, wrong version)? i installed from CKAN

[ the service bay isnt tipping over cuz theres a probecore in there with reaction wheels n sas on ][ dont mind the decouplers ]

anyone else or is there a fix i can do or re-install?

Wanted re-entry burns on all my parts, so I made a simple config patch "YAKEKOGE"! (Link in comments)

Hi everyone! I’ve been playing KSP for many years, but recently I wanted a more immersive and realistic reentry experience. So, I created my very first config-based patch called "YAKEKOGE - Add Burn Color MOD".

The MOD name “YAKEKOGE” is derived from the Japanese words “焼け” (YAKE, meaning “to burn”) and ‘焦げ’ (KOGE, meaning “to char”).

It automatically distributes a minuscule amount of Ablator resource to every single part in the game, forcing the stock game's burn-color shader to kick in when heated. Now your entire vessel will look properly toasted after a fiery return!

It's completely lightweight, tested in my environment, and works beautifully.

Since I have zero programming knowledge, the config might be a bit basic, but it is released under the MIT License—so I highly welcome any pull requests, optimizations, or spin-offs on GitHub! Let's make it better together.

Enjoy the burn🔥!
