Crow L in Tent Shins. What’s that? Cruel Intensions. Play a record!
Nice to see the inbetweeners lads talking about Pilkington.
Mr K Dilkington
I actually think Karl would make a legitimately good secondary school teacher.
I bet the kids would love listening to his fables, he'd bring in monkey analogies all over the place; and I genuinely think he'd be funny and approachable.
Plus he's obviously really intelligent outside of his later XFM persona.
And I bet he'd have an aaabsolute blow up once a term, but it'd be the sort where the kids go
"To be fair, we were pushing for that..."
And he'd be like
"To be fair, I was like that at school too"
And they'd sort of forgive each other (no need to apologise to family!), and move on.
I genuinely think people would look back and say
"Remember Mr Dilkington? He was our most valued teacher"
And it wouldn't be because he had a PhD or because he kept "to the rules"; it'd be because he was basically a chilled out entertainer - but like... I think he'd be one of those 'down to earth', sound teachers that everyone finds funny and sort of loves.
Anyway, play a record.

dexerto.comBong! Picked this Dave Spikey book up yesterday and it’s full of great headlines.
China's so-called folded boy Jiang Yanchen, whose spine had been contorted backwards at a 180-degree angle for most of his life, has finally stood up straight.
The Kitāb al-Bulhān, or Book of Wonders, is a 14th and 15th century Arabic manuscript, compiled by Hassan Esfahani probably bound during the reign of Jalayirid Sultan Ahmad in Baghdad.
These come from "Kitab al-Bulhan" (The Book of Surprises)
a 14th-century Arabic manuscript compiled in Baghdad. It is one of the most enigmatic and bizarre esoteric texts in Islamic history.
What makes this book extraordinary is its vivid depiction of the spirit world. It features detailed, surreal portraits of the "Seven Djinn Kings" supernatural rulers tied to the seven days of the week and the seven classical planets.
Rather than mere abstract myths, the manuscript treats these djinn as an active part of cosmological science, blending astrology, folklore, and talismanic magic.
Today, the original manuscript is preserved at the Bodleian Library at Oxford University, remaining a captivating window into how the medieval world visualized the occult, spirits, and the unseen realms.
Ive always wanted to kick a duck up the arse .....
Where to find the full video?
I always see clips from this video in compilations but I’ve never been able to find the full version.
It’s some kind of show/ interview talking about an idiot abroad series 3, and you can hear a live audience in the background.
If this is still available somewhere, would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
Thank you :)
Karl throat singing in Mongolia is such a vibe
I genuinely always feel something when I see this clip. It has that rare magical feeling you sometimes feel for example when you're sitting on the beach at night time with good friends and a campfire, it's that feeling when the rest of the world disappears and something else opens up and there's just a deep feeling of aliveness.
I always find it funny that this randomly happened during An Idiot Abroad which is not primarily that kind of show at all but I actually think this clip captures that vibe better than almost anything else I've seen on television.
I really feel like the vibe in this clip is completely real as well, you can tell from the look on the other guys' faces when they smile while Karl is singing that they feel it too. I don't think any of that could be put on for the cameras, it really feels like it's actually happening to me.
Does anyone else feel it too?
