I did the math. My neighbor's cat, Mr. Whiskers, has a Reddit account with 340,000 karma. Mr. Whiskers has never made a single grammatically coherent post. Every post is just a photo of him sitting near a sunbeam captioned "he looked out window. Sources (my own eyes, through the fence) confirm Mr. Whiskers spends 14 hours a day sleeping and 2 hours reviewing analytics on a laptop he definitely cannot operate. My working theory: Mr. Whiskers isn't a cat. He's a karma-farming bot in a very convincing cat suit, deployed by Big Reddit to make the rest of us feel bad about our engagement metrics. Nobody legitimately earns that much karma for lying in a sunbeam. NOBODY. I've reached out to Whiskers for comment. He blinked slowly and walked away, which experts agree is a known evasion tactic. Stay vigilant, r/KarmaConspiracy. The bots are among us, and some of them have whiskers.
